“I recently dined at NC Coast Grill & Bar in Duck, NC. The overall experience was pleasant, with attentive service and well-prepared dishes. However, I did notice that the ingredients didn’t feel particularly fresh, more like pre-prepped items that were reheated before serving. That said, the flavors were still enjoyable, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. A decent spot for a casual meal, though I’d love to see a stronger focus on freshness in the future. 3.5 stars.“

“Our party of 3 (2 vegetarians and 1 vegan) absolutely loved our lunches here. The owner was friendly and accommodating and obviously puts time and intention into her recipes. We didn't feel like her veggie options were an afterthought, like they were most other places in the OBX. The basil pesto and sun-dried tomato pesto were stellar. The fresh mozzarella was creamy and delicious. Her smoothies and coffee drinks were delicious as well. This was by far our favorite place to eat on our vacation!“

“This place is super cute and well decorated. It’s adorable! We loved the self serve bar with frozen yogurt, gelato, and sorbet. They have unique flavors and tons of toppings. “Such a cute little place! They had just the right amount of flavors without it being too overwhelming to make a decision. I like that they let you sample some flavors before committing to one. “The sportsbar portion of Captain George's restaurant. Full menu available, including the seafood buffet. TV'S all around, even in the booths. Hard not to find the game or event you're looking for. It's loud, but that's because folks are eating, drinking, and having a good time. They do have a bar food menu that's pretty good, and always drink specials. Off season it's usually full of locals there to hang out and catch the game.“

My wife had the Tuna, was super pleased, cooked perfect and not many places get it right. They did. Chef was great to talk to. She explained a lot as we sat at the bar waiting for our food. Backyard bar was our kind of place. The band had to cancel because of rain but It would have been a great place to see one. Will go back next time we are in Duck. Thanks for a great experience.“

They were also very accommodating for a shellfish allergy and used a pan on the grill and changed gloves, as to not cross contaminate.(kitchen is open, so I watched the process) Also the waiter immediately told me I wouldn’t be able to eat the fries due to cross contamination and subbed a salad for the same price. We will return on our next visit.“

“I am a huge fan of this restaurant. While it may not have the largest and most extensive of menus for an Indian restaurant, what they do have is very, very good. Among the appetizers, the bhel puri Is one of my favorite versions of that blend of flavors. The scallops pulse Is outstanding and my favorite seafood entrée. Among the vegetarian dishes the saag is good, but the baingan bharta and shamsavera kofta are my very favorites.

The two waitresses there are very kind and very helpful. The view is delightful.

Overall, I found it a wonderful experience, and was so happy to find some quality Indian food on the Outer Banks.“
