“We were traveling through Hickory and decided to stop in. We ordered the crab cakes, calamari, and jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab meat. All were seasoned very well and delicious. The service was awesome. We live an hour and a half away, but the food was so delicious we are considering returning soon 😊.“

The service was amazing, atmosphere is great, food was AMAZING we had gumbo and shrimp with grits which is something that’s usually hit or miss most places, but they nailed it and we will definitely be back. “Fast Chinese food. The food is good. They cook using the normal mixed chicken parts that most Chinese restaurants use. I am looking for a place that uses all white chicken pieces, but I have not found one yet. Overall good food, and a good choice when on a budget. A small sesame chicken will feed two of us.“

Today, I found one: this Granny’s Country Kitchen in Claremont, NC
The ambiance was casual, family oriented, and food was very yummy, service by a young, pretty and efficient Cami, the reasonable prices made an amazing lunch!
I told my husband that I wished this restaurant was in our neighborhood.
Highly recommend to those who travel to this part, it’s a must stop for lunch or dinner, besides a great meal, we support the local as well.“

“The food is always great so I started ordering to go to have lunch while at work The last two times I went I ordered for curbside for them to bring it out on both occasions I ended up having to go inside and there was no one staffed at the to go counter and had to wait there as well. Eating in has always been great they could use an extra hand managing to go and curbside though.“

“I really enjoyed roast egg foo young. You can’t find good Chinese food in Texas so I’m glad I came to Newton, NC. I also tried the spring rolls and egg roll. The rolls are full of veggies and flavor. You can get a lot of food for less money. The tiny little baby in her walker was a bonus. I used Grub Hub ordering online. I decided to take the drive to pick it up.
