We ate there on the second night of our stay and no one in the family was disappointed. I had the grilled salmon salad special and coming from a tough critic, it was DELICIOUS and did not disappoint! “South Beach Grill is a staple during our annual OBX vacation. We order from there 2-3 times during the week. They are fast, friendly, and ordering is easy online. Dinner for our group of 9 was ready for pick-up in less than 20 minutes. Everyone has tried multiple things from the menu and everyone was extremely pleased with everything they’ve tried. My favorites are the southwest wrap, burgers, and Buffalo chicken Philly. Their fries are delicious… especially with their fry sauce or BBQ ranch. South Beach Grill is a must have on your OBX vacation!“

I have never enjoyed waiting for a table more!…sitting outside under the gazebo on the deck that stretches into the sound, wonderful outside bar (try the Chocolate Martini!), and Yacht Rock over the speakers. We could have stayed out there all night and been content. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t say how great the food was inside, and the service was impeccable. (Richard was our waiter, and he is a GEM! Excellent service like he extended to our group is a lost art.) Can’t wait to see you again next year!“

“Had the pizza delivered on Friday night to John Yancy Ocean front Inn. The pizza was there within 35 minutes maybe sooner . The ingredients were fresh the pie was delicious. This is our new favorite pizza restaurant. I even ordered one to take back home.“

The Ribeye was great, with amazing asparagus.
The Maytag salad with shrimp was fab.
Service was excellent - Rob is an excellent server and highly recommended! He will take great care of you.

Atmosphere was delightful.

The only issue we had was minor, and was taken care of so impressively I didn’t even want to mention it here! Other than to say, they MORE than took care of the problem!

The lemon sorbet was light, and so refreshing! Lovely - give it a try!

Finally: the Crème Brûlée is OUT OF THIS WORLD!! The best I’ve ever had! Perfect! I told Rob to take steak off the sign out front and put up Crème Brûlée! I was wishing I had skipped the steak and simply called 3 of these my protein for the day! Killer - must try!!

“Our first time here and we had a lovely meal. We had wanted to check out a local steakhouse for our anniversary dinner, but the wait was so long we decided on Captain George's.

My husband did the buffet while I opted for a steak from the menu. And let me just tell you what, that steak was cooked to perfection! And it was a very nice portion. The hubby enjoyed his buffet, he got to sample a lot of different food items.
Are drinks were also very good and our server was very courteous and polite.“
