“Not only is the service wonderful, there is nothing better than Cosmo's pizza! Wellllll...except their fried pickles, onion rings, subs, and jalapeño poppers. OH! Don't even get me started on their cheese curds!! Omg! The family is stuffed and happy.“

“We had dinner last night. As a 15 year + customer, I can see the new owners changes. Food slipped a bit - the tuna special was good, but was a cheaper cut of fish than in prior years, and grits and salsa were really mashed potatoes and oil. Atmosphere slipped - Cheesy paintings on the walls instead of classic rock and blue album covers, and most annoying - blaring Country and Western Music. In 15 years, I barely noticed the music - but you gotta be kidding me - the place is loud already and personally, constant C&W music annoys me. Also, the iconic specials chalk board is replaced by cheesy TV screens. The place lost its vibe, and food is declining. I will try it again, but no longer my favorite restaurant.“

“Back today, softshell crabs and steam oysters. The best! Sorry on photo, started eating before the photo.Great service. Fresh, and very good soft shell crab. Steam oysters best I have had in the past year. Big plump oysters from this immediate area.“

“I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the SaltBox Cafe. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff was very polite and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portion was perfect for me. My coffee was kept topped off and warm. The other patrons that were regulars had a little banter going on with the staff that just added to the charm of this little Cafe. I would definitely recommend it and will return!“

“THIS place has our hearts and tummies pleased beyond measure! My youngest daughter, Hannah, has Down Syndrome. She was treated like the princess from the beautiful staff. Each time we came into dine, they knew her name. Plus, the food is fabulously freshly made and delicious. Way to Go!!!“

“Overall, I had a mixed experience. While the porkchop had good flavor, it was unfortunately overcooked and a bit dry. However, the smashed potatoes were excellent, offering a savory complement to the main dish as well as the fried mac and cheese. The service was exceptional; the waitress was friendly and accommodating, even going the extra mile to include a generous piece of cake to make up for the dry porkchop. The atmosphere of the restaurant was delightful, especially as I dined upstairs, which provided a refreshing change of pace and offered a unique view of a small backyard through the window. Despite the culinary misstep with the porkchop, the overall experience was pleasant, thanks to the attentive service and enjoyable ambiance. Highly recommend all their deserts.“

“I posted my review on X because I honestly loved the food and atmosphere here. Everything is fried, but I think that one day a year, it doesn't hurt and I'm not going to deny myself the experience. As an appetizer I recommend the CAJUN FRIED CHEESE CURDS served with jamaican jerk aioli, it is a dish that I did not know and that my new friends invited me to try. The truth is that they were delicious, to be honest, I would have eaten the entire basket by myself. Another interesting starter is the fried pickles with ranch sauce. My friend can't eat beef, so her favorite is a chicken fillet burger that I was able to try and it is phenomenal. My selection was the FRIED OYSTERSlightly golden fried with spicy remoulade and lemon (fried oysters) more out of curiosity than anything else. They didn't disappoint me, I was already into eating everything fried. But if you don't want that much fat in a single day, there are also raw, baked and grilled oysters on the menu. Another thing I loved is that you can choose not just one, but two sides of hand-cut fries or mashed potatoes (dinner only). Another option is coleslaw (to appease the conscience). I chose the fries and macaroni and cheese to complete the American experience. The service is fast and very friendly. The prices are reasonable. Something I liked is that I ordered my drink half with sugar and half without sugar and that's how they brought it to me. I'm still not used to zero sugar, but that's where I'm at.Observation: I wanted to take my family on a Sunday at 7:45 at night but it was closed. Google says they close at 9 so this really surprised me.“

“We ordered inside and sat outside in the back because we had our dog with us and Arts Place has a wonderful backyard for furbabies! When our food was ready they called us to come up front to pickup, the inside dining room was full. The burgers were delicious as always. We stop here a few times a year!“

“Delicious! I think that is the best word to describe the experience. It was packed when I went with my family, and from the moment we entered, the smell of fresh, freshly made food enveloped us. I mention this because I am very susceptible to smells, and my tasting experience begins with aromas. I also have to highlight the service, which is excellent. When you enter they ask you for a table for how many people and help you choose the place. We were served pretty quickly, everything was hot and freshly made. Be sure to order the fries, they have a technique to sauté them with garlic and cilantro and they still remain crispy, they are phenomenal! The nacho starter was enough for me as a main course. My husband ordered the burger in a tortilla. I tried it and it was equally delicious. He was also satisfied.Vegetarian options: Mexican food with vegetarian optionsWheelchair accessibility: The entrance from the parking lot is fully wheelchair accessible.“

“The tostada provided an intriguing experience with its unique texture, becoming delightfully soggy with the sauce. Despite this unexpected twist, it contributed to an overall enjoyable meal. However, the real star of the show was the coconut pie; its deliciousness alone would warrant a return visit. Highly recommended!“

“The new summer staff are still getting their sea legs under them but learning fast. An initial glitch was quickly fixed and we had a delicious meal as always. The tuna and Rockfish specials were perfectly cooked. This is the best restaurant on the north end of the Outer Banks.“

“BACON PEPERJACK BURGER, FRIES AND GRAVY... $9.46 TOTAL.Fries were frozen but were cooked and seasoned to perfection. They appear to use a dusted/crushed salt as opposed to more course traditional fine table salt. The dusted approach has the entire fry surface covered but never at the expense of being over salted. They got the science right on the fries few places figure this out and for the record frozen fries almost always have a snappier bite than fresh i have no issues with frozen fries. Kudos!Burger was well cooked and flavorful... no fancy bun or anything so this isn't gourmet burger its just a proper burger cooked properly, which I think makes this place 5 stars as the price after tax was very good considering the economy and touristy location.Good parking, order sent to your table, servers check up on you. Good seating design no log jam areas and plenty of intimate 2 person tables.I mean... I could disect it further but what's the point I already highly recommend this establishment.“

“Truth be told, I have never been to this establishment, but like most, I read the incredible story of the owner driving across state lines to deliver a last meal. I genuinely believe this deserves the utmost recognition, as kindness like this is rare. I wish this restaurant owner many, many years of success to come. I hope to one day dine here.“

“This was our first visit to the OBX and we wanted a good steak dinner. We had the best steak dinner we have ever had at JK. The steaks were perfectly seasoned and grilled, as was the the rest of the meal. Our server, Mark, is a master of his craft. As a former chef for 25 years, we appreciated the quality of the food and service. JK's is truly a jewel of the OBX and we're looking forward to enjoying great dinners here in the future“

“Wow A small little gem on the outer banks. Have seen this place for years and finally eaten there. I have wasted alot of time not eating here. Food is authentic, tasted fresh and staff is awesome. Great date night or small party. It's a small place so come early. It is well worth the wait. I would drive 1 hour 45 min from home to eat here when craving authentic Italian food.“

“This place is out of this world! First‐ our server, Luke, was top notch. He was kind, helpful, and friendly. We ordered the the Chef special which is a sampling of a majority of their their menu. 7ish items. I am from the mountains and not a big seafood fan but we scarfed everything in front of us. All the food was seasoned to perfection. Lastly, the beignets as dessert were delicious! As a vacationer, I would come back to OBX just for this restaurant.“

“Young lady working at the front desk was really nice and friendly. The food was good. I really enjoyed the BBQ sandwich and baked beans. My wife and daughters enjoyed the fried chicken and the sides we ordered for them. We ordered the kids chicken tenders but they were a bit too spicy and the texture didn't seem too tasty and or fried. We had to throw away the chicken tenders.“

“"Eat and get the hell out" is a killer slogan. Small diner with OBX charm. Fried oyster benedict was great. Decent size portions. Friendly server and good service. Place was pretty full, there were 3-4 groups ahead of us but the wait wasn't too long. First meal after a day of car camping at the beach, was a great way to end the trip. Bought a mug as a souvenir. Would come the hell back.“

“My wife and I were looking for a unique local eatery that stood out. We were looking for unique flavorful food for an early dinner and TRIO looked interesting. As we walked in, the shop was to the left and the eatery was to the right. But, right in front of you is a selection of fine cheeses that would make any charcuterie board jealous. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, we choose to sit inside and we were quickly greeted and brought our drink orders. We spoke to our server about some of the items on their small but delicious menu and we agreed that this odd little turkey and strawberry Panini looked interesting and full of flavor. So we went for the Panini with an iced tea. The tea was herb infused. After taking my first sip I knew that whoever was planning the menu was paying attention to the little details that make a difference. That attention to detail was really evident in the Panini too. The Brie, Pepper jelly, fresh strawberries and turkey came together in the perfect pairing. A pairing that, while outstanding on its own, would have been a true home run when paired with the right beer or wine. That was my mistake not theirs. This is an establishment that I will definitely return to.Once you finish eating, head over to the shop for a great selection of true craft beers and fine wines. They offer true craft beers here, not just the beers that have been bought up by Mega Corp beer companies that are trying to pass off extract flavored beers as craft beers.Do yourself a flavor and make the time to visit TRIO on your next visit to the Outer Banks.“

“I like that he knew my dietary restrictions since I am on a Paleo diet. He had gluten-free and vegan menus. Between the two he helped me find some things to eat. It is fine dining in Corolla where there isn't much of that. We had lovely date night. We go every year.“

“I was out of town with my kids for spring break, and we were hungry. We’re looking for something good we was route. It was real close to our hotel. I went ahead and called an order ahead for carry out. It was right on time. Wasn’t running late, ready as soon as I got there. There are a lot of sales around, but only some are in my opinion traditional cells, pizzas, and this place was authentic. The staff was so nice and the food was delicious. It is located right on the beach road mile 10 it is definitely worth the trip and it is definitely worth the price!“

“This was our second visit to the Beachside Bistro - once in October, and again in late November. We found the food to be excellent! We did breakfast in October and brunch in November. This hidden gem is well worth a visit!“

“Stopped for dinner about 6:30 pm on May 26, 2024 (Memorial Day weekend). The restaurant was extremely busy, but the manager, Carlos opened the normally closed banquet rooms to accommodate patrons. Carlos and the wait staff were friendly and served everyone extremely well and service was exceptional. Drinks and food arrived in an amazingly short time, considering the crowd in the restaurant. I'm a local resident and have visited 3 Tequilas several times and have always received exceptional service and great food.“

“Some of the best food on the entire OBX (wish we'd come here the 1st day instead of our 6th day here). Native Texans & self-professed BBQ snobs, this place is off the chart exceptional. We sampled it all, and had a hard time choosing (we ended up with the ribs and pork, but it was a tough choice, we'd tasted the turkey and smoked tuna and those were phenomenal as well. If we'd had longer on the island we would have come back for those). Hush puppies are a treat in themselves (get extras because you won't want to share!) And don't leave without the collards and mac & cheese, homemade and doesn't disappoint. On top of the fantastic food, the owner chatted with us for a bit and was an all around great guy. Would recommend this place, hands down, over every other place in the OBX.“

“We have been going to the Rundown Cafe for quite a few years and they never disappoint. They are our top "go to" restaurant in the Outer Banks. They recently renovated and overhauled their menu. So far we like the changes. They still have Fried Chicken Mondays. The chicken is excellent and could possibly be the best meal value in the OBX. Andy was our waiter and he is both personable and efficient. Keep up the great work!“

“My girlfriend and I were craving some good pizza but all places were either closed or opened way later in the day, so we decided to stop by Max’s.To start off, the atmosphere was great. We came around 3PM ish on a Thursday and there was only one other person in the restaurant, so it was very casual. We were sat and served within 15 minutes with delicious wings, pizza & beer. The service was great, and the pizza was exceptional. “Stopped couple of times for lunch during recent off-season (early May) trip to OBX. Very consistent food quality, smallish but competent menu with several bona fide vegetarian options. No wait (probly gonna change in season), fast and efficient service, good value. Easy to get in from bypass and Beach roads, on-site parking, wheelchair accessible (for most part). Swear, the same people were sitting at the bar pre-Covid, talking about same stuff.“

“Easter breakfast was our first time at Henry's. It was by far one of the best breakfast experiences we've had. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel like family. Christina couldn't have been more accommodating...making sure everything was to our liking, without being overbearing. And it was the little things that mattered. May sound silly to most, but having syrup on the table for your flapjacks...when ordering hot tea, they bring you a cup of hot water, a tea bag, PLUS a silver container of hot water to place your "used" tea bag in, should you desire another cup of tea. Also, creamer was right on the table. The menu even made sense...build your own omelet.....you pay for what you want! It seemed like all the Employees chipped in. I never saw anyone just standing around. We will certainly be back, and refer folks we know to Henry's. Thank you.“

“We ended up here after our plans to eat at another restaurant fell through. We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant!Don’t be put off by the fact that it is attached to a gas station. We wondered about that too.The dining room is small an intimate. Our daughter is very sensitive to loud noises and was able to relax here as the music was soft and the dining room quiet. There are maybe 8 or 9 tables and a few bar seats to sit at.The food was great. The service was great. The scallops my wife ordered were some of the best she has ever had.And for a bonus, a review from my 11 year old son:“This was a very good restaurant, it’s very underrated, it’s quiet, the food comes out quick, and they’re playing college basketball on the TV, plus the food is the best.”This restaurant will definitely be on our list when we vacation here again in the future.Kid-friendliness: Quiet space.
