The food was outstanding — every dish was full of flavor, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. You can truly tell they take pride in both the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. The service was just as impressive. Christa was our server and she went above and beyond to make our night feel special. She was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the entire evening. “SOOOOOO, good, this is our 2nd year going to Duck, NC. We, as a family, go out with our 3 kids every year. This year we had 7 of us, the wait was long, however, it was well worth it. The food was excellent, I believe Quinnton, he was on top of it. Only downfall was it was VERY loud, no fault of the establishment. This was a recommendation by my high school buddy. It did not disappoint. Highly recommend, leave yourself some time for seating, don't be that guy / girl that complains. Give them your name and go to the shops nearby (all local).“

“We ate here on Friday Oct. 20. Bartender was super friendly. Highly recommend the clam chowder, best we've ever had. I had the Grouper special and it great. My wife had the Tuna, was super pleased, cooked perfect and not many places get it right. They did. Chef was great to talk to. She explained a lot as we sat at the bar waiting for our food. Backyard bar was our kind of place. The band had to cancel because of rain but It would have been a great place to see one. Will go back next time we are in Duck. Thanks for a great experience.“

“Great burgers! Wait staff was fantastic. They were also very accommodating for a shellfish allergy and used a pan on the grill and changed gloves, as to not cross contaminate.(kitchen is open, so I watched the process) Also the waiter immediately told me I wouldn’t be able to eat the fries due to cross contamination and subbed a salad for the same price. We will return on our next visit.“

“What a great stay at The Sanderling! It’s a mixture of old and new with all the character you could hope for! It’s a very laid back resort so don’t expect every single detail of your stay to be perfect, although they were pretty close! The exterior is a bit dated but I love the charm of a weathered resort and speaking with other guests, they agreed. Great staff, and very friendly. Especially the bellman, cleaning staff, front desk, spa front desk, servers, manager, and facilities! Rooms are very clean, great beds and shower! You don’t want to miss the Lifesaving station breakfast! Wow, what an incredible chef and staff. They offer other meal services but breakfast blew me away! I had one small issue with my ceiling fan and facilities came over quickly and shared how to use the switch that was wired with a light. Super helpful, quick and friendly. Pools are great, and the location is perfect right on the beach. Just a few steps away! I will definitely be back and looking forward to an activity tonight! Theodosia is well worth the trip! Amazing views and food is delicious! Time your table at sunset!“
