“What a great place. It is bright and airy. They do have outdoor seating and even though it was 55 degrees with a 25 mph wind, there were people eating on the deck.

Our waiter, Carlos, is great. Smiling, friendly and polite and makes great recommendations.

My husband had the fish and chips (salt and vinegar). I had the gumbo and a side of sweet potato fries. So really good. My husband also had the Screwball expresso martini. Wowza!“

“We ate here on Friday Oct. 20. Bartender was super friendly. Highly recommend the clam chowder, best we've ever had. I had the Grouper special and it great. My wife had the Tuna, was super pleased, cooked perfect and not many places get it right. They did. Chef was great to talk to. She explained a lot as we sat at the bar waiting for our food. Backyard bar was our kind of place. The band had to cancel because of rain but It would have been a great place to see one. Will go back next time we are in Duck. Thanks for a great experience.“

“Great burgers! Wait staff was fantastic. They were also very accommodating for a shellfish allergy and used a pan on the grill and changed gloves, as to not cross contaminate.(kitchen is open, so I watched the process) Also the waiter immediately told me I wouldn’t be able to eat the fries due to cross contamination and subbed a salad for the same price. We will return on our next visit.“

“Easter breakfast was our first time at Henry's. It was by far one of the best breakfast experiences we've had. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel like family. Christina couldn't have been more accommodating...making sure everything was to our liking, without being overbearing. And it was the little things that mattered. May sound silly to most, but having syrup on the table for your flapjacks...when ordering hot tea, they bring you a cup of hot water, a tea bag, PLUS a silver container of hot water to place your "used" tea bag in, should you desire another cup of tea. Also, creamer was right on the table. The menu even made sense...build your own omelet.....you pay for what you want! It seemed like all the Employees chipped in. I never saw anyone just standing around. We will certainly be back, and refer folks we know to Henry's. Thank you.“

“I recently dined at NC Coast Grill & Bar in Duck, NC. The overall experience was pleasant, with attentive service and well-prepared dishes. However, I did notice that the ingredients didn’t feel particularly fresh, more like pre-prepped items that were reheated before serving. That said, the flavors were still enjoyable, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. A decent spot for a casual meal, though I’d love to see a stronger focus on freshness in the future. 3.5 stars.“

“We walked into High Cotton on a day with a torrential downpour, the kind of weather where seafood just don’t sound right. You need the inviting warmth of a BBQ joint, so we headed over to high cotton. Now we got there during their last hour of business for the day, and experience has taught me to temper my expectations when you’re there in the waning minutes before close. However, I didn’t need to temper my expectations at all. High cotton is going to be a regular stop for us now when we’re in OBX. The meal we had absolutely blew us away. The pork was absolutely top-tier ENC BBQ: it hit the level of quality where saying one is better than the other is frivolous to me, it’s just all top-tier coz me. The fried chicken was tied for the I’ve ever had, and the brisket was fanatic as well. My daughter said the green beans & Brunswick stew were her favorite she’s had, and my son loved the Mac & cheese. To boot, the service was incredible, the joint was incredibly warm & inviting- you feel like you’re at home as soon as you walk in the door.“

“My husband and I eat here multiple times a week...consistently delicious. We are able to afford multiple visits per week with their lunch sushi roll specials... either 2 or 3 rolls with a soup or salad. I believe the 3 roll one is only $16!
However, we occasionally splurge and order other rolls that are a little more expensive, and in that case we LOVE LOVE LOVE the amber roll. Tastiest sushi roll either of us have ever had!! 10/10 recommend!
They also have a wonderful hot sake/plum wine mixed or a chilled pineapple sake made in house for when we're feeling like libations. Id also like to mention that their egg drop soup is the best I've ever had...which should carry weight since in my extensive traveling, I have tried many sushi restaurants and always like to sample egg drop soup. They put sesame oil in it, I believe, which I love!
Lastly and most importantly, we have always received professionally excellent service! Smiles, kindness, always keeping our table clean and beverages full. We are never waiting on them; they truly wait on us. A wonderful staff for sure.
Anyone who is visiting the area (and anyone living here who has yet to stop in here!) Should most definitely come enjoy this restaurant!“

“5/5 — Honestly one of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time

I wasn’t expecting anything crazy when we walked in, but this meal ended up being a top 10 dinner for us. Everything we ordered was spot-on.

The lamb meatballs were incredible — tender, full of flavor, and the romesco/pickled cauliflower combo was perfect. The delicata squash surprised me the most; it was one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you’re done. And the strip steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.

We wrapped it up with an ice cream sandwich, and it was the perfect ending to the meal.

Service was friendly, food came out at a great pace, and the whole night was just way way better than I expected. Super impressed and definitely coming back. Only wish we had visited sooner!“

“🚨 🚨 ‼️ ‼️ Long Post Alert so just a heads up if you want a read ahead of your stay or if you’re a local and just want to know what the inlanders feel about this local gem on the shores of the Outer Banks. My wife and I spent our honeymoon last week in KH and all we can say about this place is, our bank probably thinks we moved in there. But for Good reason. From the time you walk in the door and are greeted by the hosts, to taking a peak in the gift shop. There is everything for everyone in this convenient beachside bar and restaurant. We made our way to the back side of the bar and were immediately greeted by Ryan who explained what the daily specials were and offered us a cocktail, all the while with a smile on his face. We chose the 1/2 lb shrimp, and as much shrimp as we ate at some other locations (over 20) this right here…hands down best on the coast. The ambiance is inviting and rewarding with just the step up from your seat and you have a beautiful view of the famous dunes and the Atlantic. The conscience of this place is unmatched. Once your belly’s are good and full, you’re just a few steps away from your toes in the sand and what better way to walk of some great food than with your toes in the water. We also dabbled in other specials of the day, unique beachside cocktails and I promise you, some of the BEST conversations with locals and bartenders alike. Not to mention the upstairs open air bar and seating where we met Jacob. One of the other bartenders who told us his in time the day prior. As we were planning our evening the next morning we said “wait Jacob’s upstairs tomorrow. it’s a pretty evening tonight, let’s go to the top Bar.” Needless to say, away we went. Consistency. Consistency. Consistency. Everywhere you look. Every food item you see. Every conversation you have. Everything about it is what makes this place so very special and truly only 1/1 in my opinion! To the Management, Staff and Owners of this wonderful restaurant…please keep up what you’re doing. It works and it’s made the most positive of impressions on me and my Wife.
