“I had the pleasure of trying their fall season roll and it was delicious. Tempura with a spicy sauce you don't even need soy sauce with it fresh ingredients and explosive flavor 10/10 roll. I also had the chicken hibachi which was your standard express hibachi dish, it was good but nothing that stood out to me. “My wife and I came here on a Saturday evening for a date night. We arrived and were put on the wait list. While we waited, we sat and took in the ambiance of the restaurant. This place reminded us of a traditional Japanese restaurant and the workers were also Japanese. The service was fine for how busy it was. The food came out quickly to our surprise. The tonkatsu ramen was okay, but the highlight is the seafood over rice. The fish tasted fresh and I really enjoyed the uni and tomago. I’ll definitely be coming back to try some katsu!“

“I quite like ru sans. The worst part about the place is trying to decide what to order, the menu is so long and all the rolls look good! Ordered out this time- the green dragon and new moon. I liked the green dragon best. My partner ordered a few simpler and rolls and all were fresh and delicious. She also was looking forward to the inari sushi but it was forgotten. “It’s a laid back environment. I did take out. I ask for Philadelphia hand rolled sushi which is usually an up charge but it’s the same price as the regular roll. I finally found the roll I’ve been looking for since I left my old area. I also got fried rice which is just plain fried rice with egg. The egg drop soup portion is double the size of soups I’ve ordered before and for the price I’m not complaining at all.“

“The sushi and sashimi from here is really good. My fiance really liked the Takoyaki and the hot tea was a good pairing with what we ordered. We got the sashimi sampler, a Boston roll, cucumber eel roll, Alaska roll, spicy crab roll and spicy tuna roll as well. The vibe of the restaurant was nice but also cozy with the rainy weather outside. Our waitress was also very nice and everything came out quickly. It was about average pricing for what we ordered and seemed to be very nice quality.“

“A Solid Spot with Room for Improvement

I discovered Konnichiwa Japanese Restaurant online while searching for ramen and decided to give it a try since it consistently popped up in my search. While the restaurant does have ramen on the menu, I was a bit disappointed to find there’s only one ramen dish available, as this was the main reason for my visit. With that said, I decided to explore other options on the menu.

The calamari was fantastic and cooked perfectly. Staying true to my tradition, I ordered a lychee martini, but unfortunately, it tasted mostly like sour mix and could use some improvement. On a brighter note, the house ginger salad was delicious, and the snapper bento box I ordered was flavorful and satisfying. To top off dinner I ordered Fried Ice Cream. The flavors were there but the outer coating could have been fried a little longer to achieve the crispy exterior I was expecting.

Throughout my visit, the restaurant was bustling with patrons, and I noticed a lot of people ordering sushi, which seems to be a standout here. The sushi menu is quite extensive, and I’d consider coming back to give it a try.

Overall, Konnichiwa is a decent spot with great options outside of ramen. If you’re a sushi lover or looking for a variety of Japanese dishes, it’s worth checking out. Just don’t go in expecting a robust ramen menu.“

“Went for the 4.7 rating. I wasn't that impressed, and neither was my sister. I ordered General Tso, which was nothing special that stood out. It was fresh and crispy at least, but the sauce tasted more like a honey sauce with no spicy kick at all. I like my crab rangoons, sweet, but these were way too sweet. Almost like candy. The crab rangoons could be a dessert. I threw away that sweet red dipping sauce after I tried one plain because I was not trying to get diabetes. The chicken wings were smaller than expected. They were also super salty. I needed a drink after the 3 of the 6 tiny wings. The shrimp was smaller than average. Not the tiny salad shrimp, but maybe one size bigger. My sisyer said the steak was a bit over-cooked. Extra sauce is $1. The drinks are cans. There are a few tables to sit and dine in. 1 shared bathroom for men and women, which was essentially well clean.“

“Went here for dinner with my husband, cool vibes and good sushi! Got the spicy tuna roll, the Southend Roll, a Kani Salad and the Super Rainbow Roll. It was really great fish to rice ratio for the rolls and the Southend Roll was very delicious! Tried one of their November special cocktails called the Campfire Mule- with Makers Mark, Lemon, and Maple Syrup topped with a toasted square marshmallow which was good! Nice place to grab good sushi!

Parking: There is a paid parking lot/paid parking spots across the street from Sushi Hana. There is also a sidewalk sign outside of the restaurant where they show you where you can park for free also!

“Dinner with the fam! Love going to Yama when in the mood for sushi. My go to is the rainbow roll and Salmon nigiri. Also had the yellow tail nigiri (second favorite). Tried one of the specials, Salmon belly, but I'm still not sure how I feel about it. We were told it was smoked, but it came out cooked. So a bit misleading. Definitely prefer my salm raw. Tried their Lychee martini, and that was delish!“
