“Can't say "I love sushi bowl+" enough. Best place I've found in NC/Charlotte. Staff is always super friendly, ingredients are very fresh/tasty, and bowls are a fair price. I'm usually a bit weary of raw fish being landlocked here in Charlotte; if you share this concern, there is nothing to worry about at Sushi Bowl+! Fish (and everything else) is very fresh.I hope to enjoy bowls from here for years to come! :)Originally posted this to yelp reviews, but wanted to share on google as well, so everyone can see.“

“Picture this: you're having an awesome day with your girlfriend walking around a new city with the sun shining from above and you stroll into Oku and you're day goes from awesome to perfect. Well that was me yesterday. We had no expectations walking in, but got everything we didn't know we needed. O-ku's coziness is perfect for date night. The food was so yum and our server was lit. Idk if every table gets this, but she brought us this special salmon sashimi that was soooo buss. Personally I think it's cause we're a hot gay couple. Yea she was awesome. Anyway, I had the best day of my life and I'm glad to say O-ku was part of it.“

“First time at Konnichiwa, so we decided to try a few different menu items. Let's just say everything was great. Billy, our server, was spot on with his recommendations, on top of what we normally order when having sushi. Speaking of our server. Billy was awesome, attentive, and always friendly. The ambiance is nothing special. Which is fine by us, but for those expecting/ wanting scenic views, this is not the place. You come here for the food and service. We will be back.“

“I defiantly would like more flavor in the food and maybe shouldn’t have ordered tempura style veggies. I envisioned something else in mind and the batter on the veggies filled me very fast. I ended up giving up on the veggies and went for my sushi roll which was delicious. I love Sake and the bartender recommended a nice smooth one for us. I will go check out other locations in town.“

“Awesome experience at Konnichiwa tonight. Food quality was great we had calamari and tempura vegetables appetizers. My wife had the Mango Madness sushi roll which looked great and I had a shrimp hibachi bowl which was huge and full of shrimp and vegetables Yum!! The service was also great, our server was always there asking if we needed anything. I also checked out the restroom and I must say was very clean and smelled nice. Overall great experience and I must say the prices are very reasonable. We will be back!“

“The service here is great, both quick and friendly. The food is authentic and traditional. If you want Japanese food, this is where you get it. The food is reasonably priced, considering how good it tastes. I would definitely recommend as a family experience if you have older kids, as the small building would not accomodate for super loud noise.Dietary restrictions: If you are vegetarian or dairy free, their menu can accommodate for that naturally since a lot of their dishes do not have dairy. Also, since many dishes are rice-based, gluten intolerance may be accommodated for as well. If you have Celiac's though, I'd contact the restaurant since they do have wheat noodles in their ramen and I'm not sure if they have gluten free soy sauce.“

“It's really fun getting a bunch of apps here. It's really good food and a very sleek, chill atmosphere. I like that there's some couches to lounge on in front of a TV upstairs and the lighting is dim. I'm currently obsessed with Baku.“

“My friend and I visited this restaurant. Great atmosphere, the servers were friendly and helpful. I ordered the jinya bun and I enjoyed it even though I'm not a fan of pork. Also, I had the shrimp wonton ramen and something about the noodles didn't sit well with me.“

“The chicken katsu sandwiches are very good. The crispiness on the chicken and the soft bread are a winning combination. My only critique is they come with more mayo than I would like. Wish there was a way to ask for less on the online ordering.“

“As a Seattle native and recent transplant in CLT, Miku is my go-to spot for sushi. I’ve had the pleasure of dining a handful of times and it never disappoints. The staff is friendly and the ambience is inviting. The restaurant is very clean and organized. In my opinion, Miku’s overall quality & value easily beat out the competition - Red Sake. I’ve recently moved further away from Miku, but I will continue to make the drive for some great sushi!“

“I get takeaway. It is a small space and definitely made more for takeaway than for sitting inside. However, it is absolutely delicious. I get the poke bowls and hibachi and eat the poke bowl one night and hibachi the next. I have tried the existing poke bowls and they were all good. But now I make my own. The portions are good sized, the veggies and meats are fresh and I get a ton of the toppings. I love the hibachi as well and often get the chicken, but the chicken and steak is great!I eat here once every week to two weeks and have had consistent quality, portions, and service for the many months I have been doing so.They are fast and I usually grab some groceries from the Harris Teeter right there, grab dinner at Mama Poke Bowl and go!Vegetarian options: There are many offerings to add to a poke bowl or even make a salad bowl.Dietary restrictions: I don't eat wheat but am not gluten intolerant. I find all yhe veggies fresh and feel great after eating here.“

“Masa sushi is my go to place for Chinese food. The rice is always cooked to perfection, the ladies at the front are always courteous and my food is always on time. I gave them a 4 in atmosphere due to the small space. There aren’t many table but it’s okay for me because I only order takeout. Every dish that I’ve tried I loved except for the Lo mein noodles, to me they are too dry. The fried rice is superior to any fried rice I’ve had in the area. Lately, I’ve been getting the honey and sweet&sour chicken. The sauce comes on the side and the chicken pieces are small and crunchy. If you get a combo, it comes with a spring roll or egg roll. The spring roll is crispy with a peppery cabbage filling that pairs well with these sweet and savory dishes.“

“Go-to Asian food. It's quick, good, and relatively cheap. Not the best sushi I've ever had, but definitely worth the price. The entree portions are large as well. I've been numerous times for lunch and dinner and haven't found a better go-to in Charlotte!“

“Fast food sushi without the fast food taste. Great place in uptown to grab a few rolls to go or miso on a cold rainy day. Order ahead and it will likely be ready when you walk in. Folks working there are friendly and do a great job giving you a quick healthy meal when you're eating on the run.“

“Food here is amazing, the appetizers were by far the best part of the meal. Not to downplay the rest of the menu, the apps are just that good! Service wasn't the best, but we were in a large group so understandable that things would slip through the cracks. Overall a great experience!Parking: Parking is a garage located behind the restaurant, if restaurant is on your right side, you will take a right onto side street and another right into garage. 90 minutes free parking, be sure to register your vehicle via the QR code.“

“The service is good! But the food was eh. Chicken was over cooked and chewy. Shrimp was slightly burnt and had a burnt flavor. Fried rice was flavorless. Carrots seemed to be over done and didn’t match the dish. Brocolli was done good though. The calamari was okay, but was also slightly overcooked. We only got the hibachi dishes and calamari, did not try the sushi so that may have been a better choice.“

“Loved the decor and ambiance of this place to begin--sexy, modern, dim. Our hostess/waitress/bartender (LOL) was sweet and attentive. The food was outstanding. We shared some apps first. The standouts were the pork gyoza, which was both tender with a perfect pan sear on one side, and the shrimp shumai which came swimming in a sauce so flavorful that we dipped everything else in it! The spring rolls were decent, if a tad doughy for my taste. Do yourself a favor and order the double fried wings in Kudoku sauce. We seriously had to stop ourselves from getting another order because we knew the entree was coming. We shared the Korean short rib entree. I thought the pieces of meat would have been be a little thicker, but it was very tasty. The Brussels sprouts that came with it were phenomenal! I'd eat those as a main course. *giggles* I'll be back! Wonderful addition to the Plaza Midwood food scene.“

“We really enjoyed our meals here. The staff was welcoming. There was a thirty minute wait for a hibachi table, but we sat at the sushi bar and loved everything we tried! The only negative about the experience is it gets so smoky in there from the hibachi grills and then you leave smelling like it.“

“Everything here tasted amazing! Very nice and attentive server. I ordered miso soup, salad with ginger dressing and 3 California rolls and all of it was delicious ?! My husband had the Mongolian beef and he loved it . Said it had the right amount of spice to it. We also got fried gyoza and they were so tasty as well. I rate this place 10/10.“

“Such a hard place to review because ultimately, you're going for this conveyor belt operation. And that was cool. But most of the sushi on the conveyor is basic stuff you get at the grocery store. This was our first time and we brought family that was visiting thinking it'd be something cool and different but the place in general felt old and lacked an update. The food was good but none of it was special. It is clear that this is a good lunch spot but is NOT a dinner place. Really my expectation was inflated by these social media pages blowing this place up and then walking into an old looking place with no alcohol and a cool conveyor belt. The price was spot on though! I wish we could give half stars cause this is a 3.5 but my lack of research shouldn't give a low 3 star rating! Nothing wrong with the place but also nothing special either.Kid-friendliness: My kids loved the conveyor belt“

“If Janice is working- come by and chat with her! She's worth the visit! This is an average sushi pace at the airport. I was glad to have the option since I'm not a huge fan of greasy breakfast and no one was quite serving lunch at 8 am. Food (3/5): I sat down and ordered since I hate cold "grocery store sushi" They had a good selection of rolls. The southern charm was ok, the crab was real, not kani crab, which I actually prefer in my sushi. They made it in about 6 minutes, fresh, which I appreciated. Service (5/5): The real star of the show was Janice, a kind, talkative server. She single-handedly convinced several people to come and sit down at the sushi bar as was just overall super friendly and pleasant. I'm always so happy and impressed to see someone so happy at their job and bringing that joy to others. Thank you, Janice, for bringing a bit of kindness and light to my day! Ambiance (4/5): it's located in the busy concourse atrium area. Lots of light, which is nice but loud. At 9am, a piano player came to play pop favorites (like Coldplay) on piano, which was really fun, so they gained an extra star!“

“I've only ever ordered the teriyaki chicken entree with the exception of 1 tuna roll. The teriyaki chicken is delicious and is served with fried rice and hibachi vegies on the side. They give you they're brands yum yum sauce and a brown ginger sauce on the side, and both are quite tasty. My only complaint is that it's a little pricey for what you get, and I've had a few cashiers who seemed unhappy and didn't smile whatsoever. Otherwise, it is a great option instead of going out to an even more expensive Japanese steakhouse. Also, the teriyaki dishes are better than the hibachi variants for sure.“

“My hubby took me on a surprise low key birthday dinner and I mentioned I'd never tried this restaurant, so we came. We were greeted by our waitress, Ivy, and she was truly amazing. She gave us suggestions and she was right, the spider roll was great and it was my first time eating soft crab. She also suggested hibachi, so we ordered chicken and shrimp and it was very good. The ambiance was low key and chill. We were able to take leftovers home, but I definitely recommend this spot, especially for date night!“

“Have been going here since I was a little girl. The food has always been delicious. Prices barely went up during covid. Cheap hibachi and great quality for the price! Moved away for a few years but am now moving back to the area. I was praying that the place was still a hit and oh yes it was! Just as I remembered it, wonderful! We will definitely be stopping by here all of the time for a quick dinner! I have the hibachi steak with mushrooms pictured and my boyfriend had the hibachi steak with broccoli. I recommend the steak as the chicken is a little bland at times. Also the owners are very kind.“
