“Man… this place is hands down probably the best dining experience I’ve ever had in charlotte. The atmosphere, service, plating, menu etc are all very very impressive. The MOST impressive was Tommy and his extensive knowledge in wines and sparkling wines.. he took our table on an incredible journey pairing delicious wines and trivia with the exquisite dishes that Will and the boys prepared. I personally had the bison bolognese with handmade pasta and he brought an insanely awesome Cab out to pair it with- Dude was cruising around casually in a t-shirt absolutely OWNING his craft. Not only was my pállete entertained but we also learned a shit-ton about the wine and its origins. For the first time in 10+ years I didn’t feel like I was caught up in a get-in/get-out high dollar dining scheme- rather, it was an amazing immersive experience. If I thought I could pay double just to experience last night over again I would make multiple reservations to do so. The current menu and staff as well as management is absolutely crushing and impressing. I don’t see how this place doesn’t have a solid 5 star rating. Keep it up please! I will be back very soon.“

“We had an awesome experience at Chex Grill & Wings after visiting Beat The Bomb for my daughter’s birthday celebration! I had a group of five 10-year-olds (plus a few others), and the staff was incredibly patient as the kids figured out what they wanted to order. They even let us sample the chicken wings before choosing—huge win! The wings were delicious—especially the Strawberry Hot flavor, which is now officially my favorite! While we were enjoying our food, a man came in and sat down nearby—we thought he was just another customer, but it turns out he was the owner! He was so kind and invited my daughter (the birthday girl) and her friend to take on the 60-second wing challenge for a chance to win $50. My daughter won, and when the owner asked if she wanted to give her $50 to her friend, she said yes—and then he surprised her by giving her $100! Such a kind and thoughtful gesture. To top it all off, the staff sang Happy Birthday to my daughter and brought her a slice of cake. 🥹❤️ The avocado side salad was also super fresh and tasty. The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly, and the service was fast. Highly recommend—this place made our celebration so special!“

We are very into the farm to table movement, big time Farmers market shoppers ourselves as well. The staff was very friendly, and more importantly, knowledgeable about the menu. Everything was excellent. They were very helpful in accommodating a honey allergy, even whipping up an alternative dressing for the salad we ordered. For the record, the kale salad we had was beyond exceptional. I am not exaggerating when I say that is was the best salad I have eaten in my 65 years! Recommended unconditionally. “My family of 5 has been coming here since 2022. The post-COVID era. We have never been disappointed once. This place deserves sooo much more credit for how low they have kept their prices. They easily best the speed, cost, and flavor of any place I know of in 2025 and is miles ahead of any fast food places. It is insane to me that we can all 5 get food for around $45. “First of all, what a cool, fun atmosphere. From the second you pull up, you can tell it's going to be a fun place to be! My father (77) and I (33) had lunch there today and we both enjoyed it. We were sitting near the volcano room and when it erupted, the lights over our table changed color. Like, how fun! Also, the playlist was so good! Kudos to whoever picks the music. The crab puppies are a MUST. So full of crab meat, the visit would have been worth it for those alone. I got the White Trash Burger, and usually when it comes to burgers, I'll eat half and then take the meat off and eat the bun alone (carb girly for life). This was so good, I finished it all. So juicy and flavorful! My dad got a hot dog (something 500, I can't remember) and he said it was great as well. Get the house chips, you won't regret it. They're thin and crispy, and the ranch just elevates them! We had multiple servers come make sure we were good throughout the meal, loved the teamwork! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming! “Wow!! Great casual atmosphere, amazing service (we sat at the bar and had Emily tending to us—great info about our options and checked in on us “just right!”), and the. most. DELICIOUS food!! My wedge salad may have been the best I’ve ever had-Emily shared that they make their blue cheese dressing-I raved about the quality and the generous quantity! She’d also recommended the soup of the day that was also quite tasty & as she’d thought, it paired well with my main course-the Cajun pasta with andouille and chicken. The pasta was a great amount of spicy, richly creamy, and the tomato’s warm juiciness was a delightful addition! I stopped myself partway through that dish so I could try the crème brûlée cheesecake—YUM!! Rich, and I’m sure the cream it was garnished with was from scratch—somehow both light and rich!! Definitely must go back to try the other fun menu items!! Oh, I did trade a few bites with my husband who also loved the pasta; it afforded me the chance to try their burger—perfectly cooked, juicy and TASTY under the melted white cheddar & bacon!!“

I’m a creature of habit so I always order the chicken filet sandwich fried with french fries and of course a separate order of the famous onion rings! These o-rings are the ONLY ones I eat!! “I didn’t want to say I don’t recommend… however I don’t think I will be going back. Very nice vibe, the stuff was accommodating. My problem comes in about my order. They had to remake it and it still wasn’t correct. I cannot understand how you mess up twice on a salad. I felt the energy change the second time around. Even though they were polite it felt forced. They read it back both times and failed both times. For 65 dollars for 3 salads it should’ve been done correctly. I’ve had better experiences for cheaper and I’m a foodie!“

“This food was amazing. You don't often travel and walk into a restaurant that feels as comfortable as this one with food I just as comforting. There is definitely a whole lot of soul here.

The breakfast selection was great with just the right amount of modern and country favorites mixed together for a selection to satisfy every palate.

The grits were cooked to perfection, the eggs were nice and hot, and the turkey sausage was flavorful. For a special treat rye bread was offered and I was all in.

The atmosphere is cozy but can accommodate any size group (up to capacity). It was the right amount of seat selection for those desiring sun (me) to those who wanted total isolation and I loved this!

Rhe seating was well thought out not tight and the noise level was not evasive and allowed good conversation.

Thw only thing greater than the prices was the greeting upon entering and an attentive host. This was a great experience, definitely a place to stop in.“
