“My wife and I go to longhorn in Monroe weekly either for a late lunch or early dinner. Service is typically very good. Lately management fails to make rounds to tables to inquire about quality of food and service. This specific visit on 1/26/2025 was put off by the horrible attitude of the hostess that seated us. I believe the hostess should always be warm and welcoming and she was as bad as walking in to the DMV. Management should not hire anyone that has such a bad attitude. Gave our entire party of five with a bad taste in our mouths before we had a single bite to eat. I still would recommend the dinner experience... hopefully the same hostess doesn't seat you and management checks on tables frequently if not at least once.”

“Celiac? Gluten sensitivity? This is your place. Living with Celiac or having a gluten intolerance is frustrating by itself. It becomes much more frustrating when you go to a restaurant and you tell the server your issue, and they look at you like you're an alien from another planet… or worse… get frustrated with you. I've lost count of how many places I've had to walk out of because I knew just from speaking to them that it wasn't safe for me to eat there. That doesn't happen here. Not only do they have plenty of gluten-free options (which are well labeled on the menu)... But the staff also seem to be well trained on how to handle the questions that we may have. I had a server specifically ask me one time after I ordered a gluten-free bun if I was Celiac…that has never happened before…anywhere. (I've been here enough now that they pretty much all know without me having to even say it anymore, but that's beside the point.) The staff and owners have always been extremely friendly whenever we are there. The atmosphere is great, the food is great, and it's just an overall great experience for us every time we go. It means a tremendous amount to be able to sit down at a table and not really worry about how I'm going to feel 30 minutes after I leave because someone in the kitchen or the server themselves doesn't understand how to handle my food after I tell them my issue. It SHOULD be this easy everywhere, but those of us that deal with it everyday know that it's not. If you're looking for a place that serves great food, with staff that understands what it means to be careful with cross-contamination and what you're served, this is your place. Communicate with them clearly, and you will not be disappointed.🤘”

“The service was good and friendly, and I loved the pork chops. They serve breakfast all day which is great. It's an older, diner-style place with dark woods and dark carpet. My only criticism is the choice of cool-toned LED bulbs in their chandeliers that, to me, felt florescently garish and lit the place oddly, making it somewhat hard to see. We were there at night, so there was no sunlight coming in the windows, which would have made a difference. Personal preference, but I think it would feel more inviting if the bulbs were warm toned. Still worth going for the food and service though.”

“Tacos el trompo make the best burritos in town. This is a go to for my family when we are shopping at the mall. The burritos are so big we slip them in half and share with my whole family. This is something I would order for dinner to feed my family. They have fast service and I like their salsa verde with my burrito. They also have delicious drinks.”

“I went last night for cocktails with my daughter in law before attending a local production downtown. . The Bourbon selection is off the charts. Then there’s yet more choice for use in cocktails.
Love the vibe and decor.
My only recommendation would be to replace the amount of large rectangle tables suitable for big groups, and have more comfy seating conducive to smaller groups.
(One table was full with a wedding party admittedly, but aside from that it was mostly groups of two or three.)
Just not sure it needs as many of those.
We sat at the bar which was fine, but we would have chosen a couch if available.
There was live entertainment which again was so good. Perfect match for the atmosphere. ( I can’t abide rock music in a cocktail bar).
If there were more couches and cozy armchairs to soften up the room it would be a full 5 stars for me.

“Love this place, during the pandemic they were one of the few restaurants open, they had their drive through up and running which developed quite the reputation. Just recently they re opened the dine in area. There is always a bit of wait in the drive through but it is definitely worth it! One of the best hibachi restaurants around. The teriyaki chicken and steak are both delicious! Highly recommend!”

“Been coming here since a young age. Their bread is always the best around the area. I have tried from other Odalys but never had issues with this location. It is cash only they don't accept card. The moca tres leches cake has always been my top go to cake from them. They also have flans and smaller portion cakes to purchase from if you don't want the full cake.”

Wife and I stopped in for lunch on a work trip. Honestly we had lost all hope in Golden Corrals, but something made me choose this one today. Wife and I were very surprised when we first came in contact with the cashier, and she actually had a pleasant attitude. Next, we grabbed our plates and headed to the buffet. The food had just been brought out. Normally an issue at these stores, the food sits there too long, so I figured it was just stroke of luck with them just bringing food out. So anyway, we got our first plates, and OH MY GOD, that first bite took us back to what Golden Corral was in the 90s!! This food was AMAZING!! Including the mashed potatoes that another comment said tasted bad. I counted at least 3 times they brought fresh food out of the back. We were there on a hour lunch. So yes, they kept food fresh! All the food was great! And our server….on point with everything. We didnt have one empty glass, and dirty plates didnt stay on the table long at all, she was also very friendly! I dont know whats with all the comments bashing this place, but our experience today was beyond what we hoped for. THIS is the way all Golden Corral stores need to be!”

This place is located in a regular strip mall and nothing remarkable about the inside. At first, I noticed that there wasn't anyone there at 6:00 pm, so was a little concerned. That being said, my order was just being packaged within the 15 mins they quoted. The young man was nice and confirmed my order. I took our meals (cheesesteaks, 1/2 lb cheeseburger and grilled chicken all with a side and drink.) We all liked our meals. I recommend trying this place for a not too fancy but good place to get a bite.”
