“My sweetie and I visited this establishment Saturday 6/13/26. I must say the staff was very friendly and helpful. I want too especially give a hat's off to 2 ladies in this establishment, GM Chelsea and our waitress Emma, they were great. They saw to all our needs. And I must say the food was outstanding. We truly enjoyed our visit here. I will most defiantly recommend the Smoke Pit to my driver friends. See you soon. Thanks again ladies!!!”

“Celiac? Gluten sensitivity? This is your place. Living with Celiac or having a gluten intolerance is frustrating by itself. It becomes much more frustrating when you go to a restaurant and you tell the server your issue, and they look at you like you're an alien from another planet… or worse… get frustrated with you. I've lost count of how many places I've had to walk out of because I knew just from speaking to them that it wasn't safe for me to eat there. That doesn't happen here. Not only do they have plenty of gluten-free options (which are well labeled on the menu)... But the staff also seem to be well trained on how to handle the questions that we may have. I had a server specifically ask me one time after I ordered a gluten-free bun if I was Celiac…that has never happened before…anywhere. (I've been here enough now that they pretty much all know without me having to even say it anymore, but that's beside the point.) The staff and owners have always been extremely friendly whenever we are there. The atmosphere is great, the food is great, and it's just an overall great experience for us every time we go. It means a tremendous amount to be able to sit down at a table and not really worry about how I'm going to feel 30 minutes after I leave because someone in the kitchen or the server themselves doesn't understand how to handle my food after I tell them my issue. It SHOULD be this easy everywhere, but those of us that deal with it everyday know that it's not. If you're looking for a place that serves great food, with staff that understands what it means to be careful with cross-contamination and what you're served, this is your place. Communicate with them clearly, and you will not be disappointed.🤘”

“My rating is for my food/experience in the last year. I enjoyed JinJin from 2008 when I first moved here until maybe 8-10 yrs ago. Something changed.. I'm not sure what, but all of a sudden food was consistently bad until I finally stopped going altogether... until maybe a year ago. I saw a few recent good reviews, so thought I would give it another go. I'm glad I did.. every time I go, my food is delicious. It always tastes freshly made, flavorful and hot, the portion sizes are generous. My order is always correct. I usually have the same guy ring me up when I go in to pick up order.. he is consistently efficient, courteous and always asks what condiments I would like, then is sure to include more than plenty in the bag. The atmosphere isn't great for eating in, but they no longer offer that option anyway, so it's fine for take out, imo. I never have issues with ordering over the phone, but I do recall the lady another reviewer mentioned who used to hang up a lot... and maybe still does, I just never seem to get her on the phone anymore. Anyway, I eventually started to find her hang ups amusing, and, in my case, my order was always accurate, so her hang ups never really bothered me.”

“So, I left this same review on Google, but I feel it needs to be seen in more places! Golden Corral in Monroe, NC, thank you for giving us that taste that most Golden Corrals have lost! Wife and I stopped in for lunch on a work trip. Honestly we had lost all hope in Golden Corrals, but something made me choose this one today. Wife and I were very surprised when we first came in contact with the cashier, and she actually had a pleasant attitude. Next, we grabbed our plates and headed to the buffet. The food had just been brought out. Normally an issue at these stores, the food sits there too long, so I figured it was just stroke of luck with them just bringing food out. So anyway, we got our first plates, and OH MY GOD, that first bite took us back to what Golden Corral was in the 90s!! This food was AMAZING!! Including the mashed potatoes that another comment said tasted bad. I counted at least 3 times they brought fresh food out of the back. We were there on a hour lunch. So yes, they kept food fresh! All the food was great! And our server….on point with everything. We didnt have one empty glass, and dirty plates didnt stay on the table long at all, she was also very friendly! I dont know whats with all the comments bashing this place, but our experience today was beyond what we hoped for. THIS is the way all Golden Corral stores need to be!”
