“As an employee of the restaurant, I would like to inform you that the comments made by the concerned Mrs. S..... !!We are in 2024 and it is obvious that whatever happens around us we upload it to the internet making everything tragic!! This lady came and applied as a server and hosts.. she started working as a hostess for 2 weeks until one night the manager offered her to work in another position “since her application was for waitress and hostess”she refused without even trying!the same evening the Owner spoke to her in front of the manager and another employeeHe told her:I don't want to put you to work as a waitress since you don't want to but at least do the training just in case of emergency waitress calls out to know how to serve! She categorically refused.. The owner told her that he didn’t want to pay two employees for the same job,so they can alternately work as hosts and as waiters the other girl was ok with it…obviously she refused and she said it was fine as hosts!!The owner thanked her profusely and told her he wouldn't need her anymore!She cursed as she left from the restaurantA few hours later, her mother called “to note that the lady was 35 years old”, complaining that the owner and the manager treated her daughter badlyThe next day her husband came to collect the check shouting and cursing inside the restaurant forcing the owner to call the police!!!Posted bad reviews about the restaurant actually me and the rest of the restaurant staff just laughed when we saw it because we know that our customers have known the restaurant for many years and they are very happy that our rating is 100 and 99.5 and we as employees are very proud of it!!Αnd besides if I'm not wrong ,Hostess position is at the front of the restaurant, I get impressed that she knows in detail what was going on back in the kitchen?I would also like to say that she is insulting herself by saying she used the towels we used for the floor to wipe the tables!!!we as waitresses had no way of doing that!!I wanted to place correctly and fairly as an employee of the restaurant because these comments are an insult to the restaurant!!“

“We had the pleasure of dining here last night and it was fabulous! ALL of the staff is very friendly, engaging and on point. The food was fantastic-so full of flavor with a delicate balance of spice that complimented each dish. We are looking forward to going back and trying new things!“

“Hidden gem !!! Was looking for somewhere new and saw the high ratings. It is worth EVERY SINGLE high rating. 5 out of 5. Fresh Bolognese sauce which you cannot find around here. Wife had stuffed shells. Couple pizzas to take home to the kids. Got to know Romeo and Katrina - so nice. This place deserves to be known. PS - Try the meatballs.“

After driving by to pick up my son from school for two years, I decided that today was a great day to give it a go!We got an early dinner with a small pepperoni pizza, a small supreme w/o ham or sausage (it’s a cheaper version than building your own with everything else that comes on it), a large veggie pizza, garlic knots and the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls.Everything was fresh and delicious! Great char to the crust, great flavor, real bacon, spicy pepperonis, just overall great tasting food. Crust is a thinner crust that’s crunchy and chewy in all the right places. I’d only enjoy more cheese, but it’s a solid pizza.The garlic knots weren’t my fave, I like a little more yeasty doughiness, but the marinara is money!The egg rolls could use some onion and green pepper, but they were flavorful-a little over cooked, but good.I live off Union/Armstrong, and everything was still piping hot when it got home.This is our favorite pizza so far. “On Saturday my sister and I stopped here for lunch before heading home after a morning of shopping. The restaurant appeared clean and there were these beautiful Easter wreaths hung on the wall to the left of the entrance that were for sale they were very reasonably priced.The cheerful young lady who greeted me upon entering the restaurant also took my order. I ended up getting the 12” Supreme when my order was ready the young lady brung it to the table where I was sitting after I gathered myself and pizza I headed to the car when we got to my sister’s we ended up putting the pizza in the oven for just a few minutes to crisp the crust as it was a bit doughy for us. The pizza ? had a fairly good taste and we each enjoyed 3 slices a piece with 2 leftover slices which my sister had for lunch on Monday. I hate I didn’t get any photos for this review.Parking: Plenty of parking as this restaurant is located in an area with other restaurants and businesses.Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome as there’s a familiar family atmosphere about the restaurant.“

“Food is always amazing here, but what set this above and beyond as one of the best dining experiences we have had lately was our server, David C. He went absolutely above and beyond to make sure every need was met before we could even think of it. Would 100% go back again just to sit in his section, he is truly the best. “I'm going to give this review 5 stars overall because I refuse to let one person ruin something for me. The food was excellent! We had the spaghetti roll, kids' spaghetti with meatballs and the Pappardelle Del Contadino. We called in the order a little before 8pm on Saturday night and were told it would be about 35-40 minutes. The young girl on the phone was great. Upon walking up to the restaurant, we saw that the sign on the door was flipped to closed, but no big deal we had placed a Togo, and it was about 30 minutes until their actual closing time at 9. As we went to grab the door, some guy on the patio that was drinking, smoking cigarettes and talking on the phone yelled "They're closed" I politely paused for a second and replied yes, I know. I'm picking up my Togo. He looked shocked. I'm not sure if this was a bartender/server/manager or cook but it was clearly an employee. There were multiple Togo's that still needed to be picked up inside. Why steer away customers? This was our first visit and won't be the last...but as a service industry person, for a moment it made me feel as if my business wasn't valued. I always believe that as a business if it says you close at 9, it is important to consistently close at 9 so that your customers know your hours...and to serve until the end. Again, the food was outstanding, so I hope this was a one-time occurrence.“

“I love places like this. Jesus is great. Very friendly. Being a Hispanic I love to hear the language and I love to speak it so I do so at every opportunity. The food is very good. Had the chicken onion Stromboli. 10 out of 10. I recommend if you’re in the area. I’ll definitely be back.“

“This is one of my favorite places to eat. They have the best chicken piccata. I cannot find a better one elsewhere, and believe me, I’ve tried. Their salads are cold and crisp. The bleu cheese dressing is to die for. The service is always fast and friendly. The interior is clean but dated. If you’re in Gastonia, give them a try!Kid-friendliness: They have kid friendly items on the menu.“

“Villa Roma is a staple for our family. I had the baked spaghetti (watch out because the melted cheese can splash sauce on your shirt) and it was yummy. We enjoy all the food and the small salad bar that has a nice variety of ingredients. The service is always good as is the food. We enjoy the Italian flavored hominess and keep coming back.“

“I’m from Buffalo, ny and I have been searching for a real authentic Italian restaurant for soooo long since moving south. A lot of places just don’t get it right. Portofinos does!! The decorations, atmosphere, menu, staff and even the cloth napkins and dressings and seasonings on the table. Felt like i was back in NY at one of their many excellent Italian restaurants. Cozy and comfy atmosphere with kind staff. The white pizza is PHENOMENAL. I also got a cannoli and it was so delicious my eyes rolled back into my head. This place is the real deal. “This is our second visit. We were hesitant to come back to this location due to the first visit being awful, but we chalked it up to being a newly opened location. Glad we came back food was great service was ok and the dishes/silverware was clean. We will be back.“

“This resturant is suprising good! It's just not what you'd expect in a good way. Outward appearance is a Greek resturant but it's not. Look at the menu and it's covers home town southern classics, Greek, and a wide array of burgers and sandwiches. Now I'm thinking it's too big of a menu to be good. Nope I was wrong again. Majority of what I've order I confirmed was made from scratch in house. Even the chicken both times I ordered that came out perfectly cooked not dry in the slightest. I've ate in and carried out both were fantastic. It's just funny to me how every time I've ate here I'm not expecting anything special just a decent meal and when the food comes out without fail I'm talking about how I'm suprised how good it truely is!Vegetarian options: My girlfriend is a vegetarian and we never have an issue finding a good choice for her here“

“When deciding on a place to eat I always check Google reviews. This one didn’t have the greatest, but we were with a large group, so didn’t want to make a big deal out of it. The second red flag for a restaurant is the sanitation rating which they are required to display. Their’s was a 96, not bad, but we’ve seen much better. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food came out quickly. The pizza was pretty good. We loved the crust and the toppings were generous. Many in our party said they’d return. The calzones had way too much ricotta in them for us to fully enjoy. One had to scrape a lot of the cheese out and another left a large portion of theirs uneaten. Overall, I’d be willing to give this place another try. It exceeded my expectations walking in, so that counts for something, and everyone left happy!“

“Our waitress(Janice from Patterson NJ) was delightful. Service was a lil slow, but she was alone doing the job of 3-4people, with no assistance, even though there were a few people there that could easily have given her a hand. Food was excellent too.“
