“We've been enjoying the food at Michaels for over a year. Love the hot dogs, Reuben Sandwich and nachos. Need to diversity and try some of their other entrees though. Not only is the food great but so is the service. Tonya who runs the bar and the food service is wonderful. I enjoy going there to talk to her. Always in great spirits and has a smile on her face. Her husband is the Chef also. Always a fun dining experience.“

“The food was excellent. The tuna was perfectly seared with zero fishy taste, the vegetable based on the tuna was a little undercooked. The service was top notch, friendly and attentive. “Took a day trip to Aurora Fossil Museum and headed over to New Born. My family and I ate at Morgan’s and I would recommend it to anyone! They have delicious bread, but it came with honey on it. Our server asked us if our littlest was too young for honey and then brought him his own piece without honey. Waitress was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious. Everyone on the staff was nice. The bathrooms were nice, they even have a doggy menu!“

“Good food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. My husband and I went on Thursday night for dinner as we have many times in the past. My only complaint was everything was overly salted. We removed the breading from the calamari, his tuna didn't have much flavor only salty. My crabcakes were as good as always! Maybe they should cut back off on the salt, you can always add more at the table.“

“Was in town for work and just discovered this gem. If you are in town, you have to eat here. The ribeye was delicious! The service is absolutely phenomenal. Everyone is so pleasant and the manager, Randy, personally engages with everyone in a friendly and genuine way. It takes the dining experience up an extra notch. Highly recommend this locally owned restaurant!“

The food was good and the service was even better. Poppies has become our favorite local bar and restaurant. “Excellent spinach and cheese dip. Shrimp and chicken grilled with garlic mashed potatoes was excellent. Unfortunately the coffee was barely warm even though the waiter said it was freshly brewed, and even after offering to microwave it my wife’s and my coffee were barely hot. A sad story indeed.“

“Our waitress was very friendly. Food was fast and portions were generous. I got the broiled platter with salad bar. The salad bar is small but well stocked and fresh. The broiled seafood was cooked through without being overdone. Decor is rustic and no frills but feels "homey". I will be back.“

Best parts though were the “kids corner” where they have crayons and coloring books for kids, and in the women’s restroom they have complimentary menstrual items for customers. I was impressed by the thoughtfulness as well as the accommodations that show they went above and beyond. Thanks for being so welcoming !“

“Okay experience. Our party of 5 went on a Sunday morning, typically one of their busier times. We were able to be seated promptly. Drink order was taken quickly but it did take some time for them to come out. Food was meh, especially for the prices. Waitress was very nice and doing the best she could!“

“I read the reviews before we went. I must say they were not favorable. A pal asked me to come do open mic comedy so I went with low expectations. I can not complain about a single thing. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was served in a timely manor. The floor was not sticky. I will definitely be going there every Sunday for stand-up open mic at 8pm.“
