9 Best Coffee Shops in New Bern

“My first visit did NOT disappoint! If you're not drinking coffee here, are you even really drinking coffee? I love coffee and I have tasted it from many places in town and this is by far the BEST in New Bern!!!! The owner, Liz, is the sweetest, and her staff is amazing as well! The atmosphere is so cozy and they have special things going on each day of the week. I will be back for sure!!! 🥰“

“Great coffee!! I got the brunette frozen chiller (a hazelnut and caramel frappe basically) and it was really good! Nice strong coffee flavor! I did add chocolate syrup and whipped cream. (See picture.)

Price was good as my size medium (maybe 20 oz) was only $5.

Only bad thing was, there was a good bit of a line at the drive thru. The service definitely could have been faster, but it wasn't unbearable and I'd say it was still worth it. One little tip, from a barista to another coffee shop, maybe stop asking for phone numbers before the order is taken, if you can... I feel like it kind of rubs customers the wrong way. But that could just be me!
Communication between workers could stand to improve as well, but I am still giving 5 stars because the coffees are so freaking good!!! 😂“

“Popped in today and had the most delicious coffee and pastry tart. This is on a whole other level. Think about the wonderful desserts and coffees of France and Italy you have had in trips abroad all available in New Bern! Very Welcoming owners and delightful ambiance. Highly recommend.“

“WE stop at a Starbucks at least once a day, every day of the year. This one stands out because the barrista behind the window was so friendly. Kind of unusual now-a-days. Coffee order was exact, price is what it is, but the service made this stop memorable. Hope to be back this way again to stop in again.“

“You can tell that this place really cares about what they put out- beer was excellent, unique and the food just the same. The local art for sale is a plus, and the super friendly staff an absolute bonus. As an out of towner from the northeast (with many Pamlico and Carteret County roots) it was nice to find a brewery not overly commercialized and overrun with people. 99 felt personable and fresh- don’t loose that charm! “Nicest humans ever. We went in around 11am on a Wednesday and the lovely people who helped us gave my tween and 4 year old the sweetest experience of talking through all the treats.
