“What a delightful find. We have been meaning to try Kuma Sushi bar since we moved into town 4 months ago. We were blown away by the ambience, the wonderful staff and the quality of the food and sake menu. Definitely a repeat visit and added to our list of go to restaurants.“

“Lazy night so ordered takeout from Sumo first timers. Quick turnaround ready as promised upon arrival - there are a few tables inside but looks like it's mostly go biz. I wanted spicy (Chinese) and wife wanted hibachi (Japanese). She had the winning choice as her steak & shrimp was ample, tender and tasty. My Hunan Shrimp was underwhelming - not zippy at all and overload ratio of veg to shrimp seemed almost bland vegetarian. Fortunately the Gyozo steamed pork dumplings appetizer was delightfully sublime and we got a dozen for $7. The value was sound for the volume of the meals.....i just expected more from "Hunan" style in my dish. I'm sure we'll be back and I'll go Szechuan instead.“

“In my opinion, this place has the best sushi and hibachi in New Bern when it comes to quality, taste and price. The service is also always quick, friendly, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.

I grew up in the Havelock/Morehead City area, but after living in New Bern for the past two years, this place has become a favorite for both my husband and me. We’re getting ready to move back to Havelock, and this is definitely one of the places we’re going to miss the most! We’ll definitely be stopping by whenever we’re back in New Bern visiting.“

“Food was amazing we sat at the grill where they cook in front of you I will say I've been to other ones and the cooks put on such an amazing show but here they kind of just cooked and left but the food was great and it's very beautiful in there“

“Wife thought the Hibachi style shrimp & steak was very good, and loved the white sauce for dipping.....the perfect delicate fried soft-shell crabs as an appetizer. While my Chicken Pad Thai was tasty, it lacked any spicy edge whatsoever and had minimal peanuts and no veg at all. So many ways to assemble pad thai and this wasn't nearly zippy or complete enough for my taste. Not bad, just not my preference. this was our first but will not be our last visit.“
