I always go for my go-to favorites—jalapeño cream cheese rolls and tempura sweet potato—and somehow they never miss. Fresh, flavorful, perfectly made, and always packed with deliciousness. Every bite is that perfect combo of comfort and crave-worthy goodness 🤤

“I stopped by this sushi bar recently and had what might be the best sushi experience of my life. The two chefs, Ikadek and Ardi, were absolute masters behind the counter. Despite the language barrier (they speak very little English), their warmth, smiles, and passion for what they do came through loud and clear. They took such pride in every piece they prepared — the fish was incredibly fresh, the flavors perfectly balanced, and the presentation beautiful. It was some of the most delicious sushi I’ve ever had.
What really blew us away was their incredible generosity. They comped most of our order and kept treating us to extra pieces. It felt like we were guests in their home rather than customers at a restaurant. Their kindness turned a simple meal into a memorable experience.
If you love authentic, high-quality sushi made with heart, you have to come here and sit at the bar with Ikadek and Ardi. They’re the real deal. Thank you both — I’ll be back very soon!“

“Awesome food and service, over 15 visits, this time it was the sushi , tuna and scallops sashimi, very good and fresh , also had vegetable spring roll, also very good, before i had the Tangerine chicken , similar to Orange chicken , with pork fried rice which is the best in the area, also like Ocean Roll, Fresh and very good, I had the General Tao shrimp , shrimp was jumbo, sauce was good , prices are reasonable, awesome service every time we go, 5 stars for the best Sushi, and service in area, so glad they are back open, thank you !“

“Favorite place to get ramen was at Tea Plus and didn't know they had moved to this new location. For a year, I had tried ramen at multiple different places and none of them were as flavorful. As soon as I found out they had moved here, I came to try it again and it's just as good as I remember. Tiffany, the owner, was here and was just as welcoming and sweet as I remember. Tried the mango and milk pudding, and peach tea they have now, too. It was delicious.“

“It is without exaggeration that I say this is my favorite restaurant in the Charlotte area. You can tell the level of care and detail the food is consistently prepared with. Everything is always just right, from the house made salad dressing, to the breading on the pork, even down to the ramen being just the right thickness and consistency. “The only reservation I could get was at 4:30, so we did the early bird special and went up the stairs to Uchiba! I think they have done a great job getting new stores and restaurants in this new area of Plaza Midwood. We had high hopes for Uchiba and they really delivered on all categories. The space itself wasn’t huge and had almost as much space outside as in. The servers were great and very conscientious about allergies. The food was amazing. The dishes were well paced. We didn’t feel rushed or worried that they forgot us. Uchiba is a great addition to the Charlotte food scene.“

“We have been to Ming Fu Waxhaw several times and have enjoyed the food. The sushi is presented artfully and the fish is always fresh. The Chinese entrees are always excellent in both taste and presentation. The spice level of any dish can be customized and I always enjoy extra spicy. The service has always been excellent whether seated in the restaurant or at the sushi bar. The only negative is that the restaurant closes at 0830 pm which is early compared to other restaurants in the area.“

“Been coming here for years now and I have not once left disappointed. Our waiter might as well know us by name. A lot of people might order take out from here but I prefer to sit and enjoy as the food always comes out hot and delicious. I've tried a lot of different rolls but my favorite is the Super Crunchy Roll.“

Easy fast down “twistie” lane on side of building to get to ground floor. Lots of open space even during week days in upper floors. Spaces are not particularly spacious.“

The servers were nice enough but kind of awkward. Food was decent for fushion/American style Asian - a tad on the overly sweet and salty side. I liked the kalbi and sashimi was pretty fresh (though choices for types of fish were limited).“
