“I have tried many Mexican restaurants and none compare to the flavor that THIS specific place produces. We haven't been to other places of its kind after discovering them. It's flavorful everytime! My husband gets the fried chimichangas with steak, kids and I get Texan fajitas and acp. Their huevos rancheros has the most exquisite sauce. There are 2 El Salsas: in Wendell and off Mitchell mill and forestville rd, the forestville location never misses! Very affordable. 10/10 recommend

“I stopped in for lunch after a long day working with school children, and it was just what I needed. I’ve visited this location several times, especially since there isn’t one in Raleigh right now. The staff are generally friendly, and that always makes a difference.

I tend to order the same thing each time—the veggie nachos—and I usually request double portions of veggies. Depending on who’s assisting me, that request can sometimes be met with hesitation, but other times it’s handled cheerfully and without issue.

On this particular visit, I chose to enjoy my meal outside, and it couldn’t have been a better decision. The weather was beautifully sunny, and the atmosphere made the entire experience feel calm and refreshing after such a long day.

If you order your food online and have a family emergency, you are not allowed to cancel the order or get a refund! I was told, "come pick up your food before you go to the hospital with your child. We don't like to waste food." Instead of them being empathetic, issuing a refund and giving the food that was prepared to staff member or server. DO NOT ORDER YOUR FOOD IN ADVANCE. Just be prepared!“

“The family that runs the taco truck and store next to it are just so wholesome. I was doing work in the area and ate there for dinner 3 nights in a row and it was delicious every time. The manager is always there, happy to be there, and in the trenches with his folks and it reflects in the just culture and atmosphere of the restaurant.

“We came for a quick lunch while my car was being serviced, and found this gem of a place with incredibly great food! We ordered lunch - steak quesadillas and a burrito and taco combo. My steak quesadilla was one of the best I ever had, and my husband’s burrito was absolutely delicious!!! The taco was awesome too. Also loved their salsa that came with the nachos.

The folks we met at the restaurant were really nice and very helpful with explaining different options on the menu. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. We’ve lived in this area for 24 years and never knew about this place, but we’ll definitely be coming back.“

“La Braza is definitely an authentic Mexican restaurant as the menu is in Spanish only and we were the only non-Spanish speaker there. We went for lunch and there were quite a lot of people. There is plenty of seating though so there was no wait.When you walk in, there's no menu on the wall but it seems like most people are regular customers there as they just walk straight up to the counter to order before seating themselves. Since it was our first time we didn't know if that's just how the restaurant operate so we just stood there a little lost. But after ringing up the customer in front of us, the lady behind the counter brought over menus and greeted us right away. The menu has great selection and things we have never seen other Mexican restaurants offer. The food was amazing and so reasonably priced! We were so stuffed and I even brought some of the food home. The staff was super nice and friendly (and yes, she does speak English)! We will definitely be returning here to try out more of their menu!“
