The Swiss Shoppe, located near the Blue Ridge Parkway, is a popular lunch spot known for its tasty offerings and friendly service. The restaurant has a general store next to it, selling various items such as cheese, beer, wine, soft drinks, snacks, and souvenirs. The menu features a Reuben sandwich that has been highly praised for its lean and tender corned beef, as well as a fire-roasted veggie sandwich on freshly made foccacia bread. The pimento cheese panini and potato salad have also received positive feedback. The restaurant is only open for lunch and closes for the season in November, reopening in the spring.
