“It was definitely nice to come back to the Chalet. It had been several years since our last visit. Always beautiful scenery, and air up in mountains well let's just say I feel at home. Our evening began with appetizer (Salmon dip with Pickle veggies and crackers). Oops, can't forget the bread Knotts with whipped butter that our waitress( Tori) brought with our water as we looked over the menu. The flow from our waitress and the kitchen was timed without flaw. We never really had to ask for anything since our waitress was completely on her game.
The day was my 62nd birthday and I can't think of anywhere else I would of rather enjoyed my evening with family.
My main course was Grilled shrimp with a side salad and ancient grains and greens”

“Y’all, this place has the best prime rib in town. It’s a fair price with a good portion. Cooked and seasoned to perfect perfection. The little Switzerland Cafe has found their niche. The service has gotten so much better. I also love that they support our local musicians and artist. It’s just a great place to be. Give it a try if you haven’t. Oh don’t forget the tomato basil soup it is also perfection. You all can thank me later :)”

“Beautiful setting, a cross of NC mountains and Tuscany. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of snacks and charcuterie available for purchase. The grounds are stunning to roam with family and pets”

“Food was amazing and the staff were friendly. But it was definitely a staff family hangout spot. People were just hanging out, being loud, had a baby in their arms while serving and such. That was frustrating but the food was incredible. If they would clean the junk from the back of restaurant and put arcade games this would be a great spot. I’d recommend take out and not sitting in to eat.”

“We always look for diners, where the locals go. I ordered the special appetizer, fried green tomatoes, they were really good! I had the grilled chicken sandwich which was pretty basic, but very good. I added tots, nothing special. Great atmosphere. The wait staff were really nice. That's always a plus.”

“we ordered food from Pepperoni's today, the second time this week,I wanted pasta so I got the spaghetti,as always our food got here fast,and was still nice and hot, the sauce was delicious but the meatballs on the spaghetti were awesome,tasted like actual homemade meatballs im thinking that they are my go to for a pasta fix from now on!!”

Nice birdhouse with burro at cahier station... :) We do enjoy your restaurant and as you know have for many years. We missed you today 4/24/22...You were closed for remodeling? We were FORCED to try the new place near WALMART...Oh NOooooooo....it was no taste, cold food, slow service, dirty bathrooms and BLAND...very disappointing. Hope you are back open and cooking soon. Hello to all!! If you want authentic, great Mexican food served hot, fast and fresh in a clean friendly establishment...Our Only Choice is EL RANCHERO! WE KNOW GREAT MEXICAN FOOD.
