“I just moved to Charlotte, and this is great sushi. I can be quite picky, I used to work for a sushi restaurant whose owner was a third generation sushi chef from Ōsaka. “Last night my husband and I went to the Mayfair Seafood restaurant in Monroe and it was worth the 45 minute drive, worth the money, and we had a great waitress named Amy! The fish was cooked perfectly. I had a baked sweet potato and it was cooked just right. We both had the flounder platters, and yes their prices have gone up a little bit, but it was well worth the money and our waitress was on top of things, she made sure we had tea when we needed it, extra napkins, and tartar sauce. Before this I guess it had been a little over a year since we had been there because the last time we were there our service wasn't that great and the fish was a little greasy but this time everything was just perfect. When the fish is cooked as great as it was last night, you guys have the best fish within a hundred miles of Monroe or maybe even further out than that so keep up the good work!“

I grew up going to hole in the wall Korean restaurants with my 할머니 and the Dduk Mandu Guk is the closest I get to being back there. However, there clearly was an issue in the kitchen, as over 30 min passed between our salad course and entrees. The server and manager came by twice to apologize. The food was terrific, onion rings, salads and steaks were great. However, my wife ordered her steak med-well, and even after a long delay came out rare. To their credit, the manager comped the entire meal. We'll need to give it another try.“
