“Let me start by saying that I'm a typical husband and waited until the last moment to get my wife her birthday cake. I called on Friday just a few hours before the shop closed without much faith in being able to get a cake. When I called Karen she asked what type of cake I was looking for. I told her a Strawberry Shortcake style/flavor cake. She said that she could do her version of it only because she had some cake left that day. I picked it up Saturday morning even though she wasn't actually open. We cut the cake today and let me say, it definitely didn't disappoint. It had so much flavor with the strawberry cake and then the cheesecake layer in the middle with sliced strawberries really made it. It was sweet but not too sweet. Anyone looking for a cake , I highly recommend this shop!“

“I'll start by saying I've only been to this bakery 3 times. It's located in a very inconvenient spot that we are rarely near. So when we do visit the bakery, it's like a special outing for us "per se". Each time, we have visited only to buy the gluten free options. Saturday we were there again and this time we finally tried the gluten free cinnamon rolls. This can't be the cinnamon rolls that everyone seems to go crazy for. There's just no way. We couldn't even eat them. I'm not being dramatic or exaggerating. We had to throw them away. We even tried to heat them up in the microwave first, and while that did make them soft again, it certainly didn't improve their flavor. These cinnamon rolls have no cinnamon flavor and they aren't sweet like a cinnamon roll should be. They tasted like dried out wheat biscuits. I'm seriously not sure why the cinnamon rolls seem to be so popular if this is how they are supposed to taste. We have been gluten free for nearly 10 years and these taste like one of those really old recipes before gluten free was so mainstream - very bland. I will never buy them again. I guess I felt the need to leave this review bc they weren't cheap. I wanted to warn others about the gluten free cinnamon rolls. While, we were both extremely disappointed in the cinnamon rolls, the gluten free salted caramel cupcake was delicious.“
