“I absolutely love Joe Phifers! I usually frequent this establishment at least twice a week because my dad enjoys their fried chicken sandwiches and barbecue sandwiches. “Walking in, you can feel the friendliness of the place. It is a small, very clean "hole-in-the-wall" type place. They serve both Carolina (vinegar based) and Lexington (vinegar with tomato). I'm not a fan of vinegar based sauces, but my husband liked it. The part of the bbq without sauce was delicious, and I wish I had gotten it without sauce. I got the plate that included coleslaw, baked beans, and yummy hush puppies. My husband enjoyed his salad that was topped with lots of chopped bbqThe staff wanted to make sure we enjoyed our meal. They were engaging, among where we were coming from and where we were headed... wishing us safe travels. We would definitely come back.Do note : they are a cash only establishment, so go prepared to pay cash.“
