“I’ve stayed here while passing through for three trips now. This most recent trip was with the new owners. The bartender had been there from before & was nice as always. The new owners seemed friendly & kind. The locals were all polite & the travelers fun. If you’re down for a hostel experience, I recommend here. If you’re just looking for dinner or a pub, this is still a fun place to visit.”

Dinner was very nice. Molly offered spot-on suggestions and was perfectly attentive. We will be back and would rate this restraunt with the best in the area. Thanks for a very nice evening.”

“Best Coffee I’ve ever had. Lightyears ahead of that Starbucks junk. They also have the most delicious brownie sundaes and cinnamon rolls! We come here very often and even came for the 4th of July to celebrate! It’s only fitting that Big Mike’s would put on a BIG fireworks display! The staff is incredibly friendly and the interior of the shop is very cozy and clean. 10/10!”

Parking: Parking was a bit tricky since right beside the street. But, not bad.”

“As a local to Avery County, Smokey’s is the absolute best hands down! They have the best burgers I’ve ever had and the best service too! My husband and I eat here at least once a week and I’ve never went in and not seen smiling faces on all employees!! 100% recommend!!”

A great view of Beech Mountain if you want to eat on their porch. Famous Brick Ovens staff is super friendly making me want to come back again before I leave. Good People.”
