There seems to be this stigma now days that coffee shops and bakeries cannot support one another but that isn’t the case! The owner Katie is such a sweet woman, and works so hard to provide the best of the best! We highly recommend Blue Vnilla time & time again! From their yummy coffee to their mouth watering pastries, breads & macarons! Don’t miss out on this wonderful hidden gem! It’s worth the drive if you aren’t local! 🖤🙌🏻☕️“

“I stumbled across this place on a trip for work a month ago and HAD to make a day trip today! It’s the cutest location tucked away (moving soon in same building to have seating capacity and expansion! The people are the nicest! I called explaining that the cookies I bought had been so wonderful that I had to return for more, which was no problem because by the time I got there, he had me a fresh dozen that he just baked and were taking them from the oven! I had gotten the cookies for coworkers and tried a bite myself!
I drove an hour and a half today back here!
Let me tell you, the BEST chocolate chip cookies I ever had tasted! I’m not even a sweet’s person but these cookies taste amazing! My coworker told me that he literally was licking his cookie because it was so delicious! We also picked up some gluten free lemon blueberry scones for our pastor’s wife! I’ll be returning again once they open with seating to try out the amazing breakfast sandwiches that I’ve read about! Mmmmm Worth the trip!

“Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because of Alana. I came here the other day and one of the gentleman working was rude with a smart mouth. I ordered via the app and went inside to pick up the cookies. Was told they were out and I simply asked why did it let me order on the app. Instead of being nice, he just kept saying smart stuff so I asked for a refund bc he told me it would be a hour until they made more. In order to get a refund he had to call the store manager so I stepped off to the side while he called. Came back and said the manager would call me when it’s done so I asked should I wait then. In a snarky tone He was like if you want but it will be 30 minutes bc he is running a business. With that and all the other smart stuff he was saying, I went off bc you’re not about to keep speaking to me any type of way when I’ve been nothing but nice. He finally went to the back and got someone with sense to come speak to me. Alana was very apologetic and got me right. The gentleman should have been apologizing as well. He needs more training on customer service and I can only imagine how many other people he’s smart with. That was my first time coming to this location as I just moved to the area and I won’t be back.“

“We had an amazing experience at the downtown Greensboro location! It was our first time in, my friends had taken me out to kick off my birthday week. We all ordered crunch cheesecakes off the suggested menu, but they happened to be out of the apple pie flavor I ordered. The owner, Tanya, came out and gave me her number to call and let her know the next time I was coming and she would fix me a free one since they were out! I have never had someone offer to do this and it was the kindest gesture. My friends and I ended up sitting and talking long enough that the apples were finished cooking and Tanya made me a fresh one to take home! It was a wonderful surprise and so greatly appreciated! I would recommend this amazing shop to anyone and everyone! The atmosphere is so welcoming, it feels like you dropped by a family member’s house for a treat. Please go visit them immediately!“

“Second Rise Baking bread is amazingly addictive. I think I should have ordered more because I didn't know my 11 years old son was going to enjoy as much as he did. Now I know. I love sourdough bread and is really the only bread I eat. So glad I found her“

“Excellent bakery with reasonable prices. No problem there. Beautiful space to spend time. But after several visits coming in for cupcakes, dessert and coffee I won’t drive the extra miles. And I certainly don’t want to spend any time in their lovely space with a cold feeling coming from manager and staff. I just feel very unwelcome when I walk through their doors. And I just don’t want to feel that way. It’s sad because the baked goods are sooo good but very little joy. I wish them much luck in their new location.“

“This bakery is so yummy! I love the Brown Stone Front cake and hot chocolate. The pound cake is just ok. But the brown stone cake is 10/10. I prefer the cake slices to the cupcakes. There’s a lot of icing but it tastes good by itself later as a second dessert 🤪 Might be the best bakery in Greensboro. Also pro tip!! They said they always have everything. So if you don’t see your favorite treat in the display case, you can ask for it from the back.“

“My daughter and I enjoyed our donuts. We picked them up, to go, on a Sunday morning. We were the only people in there, at the time we went, but it was clear that other patrons had already been in there to snatch up their favorite donut. I had a lemon filled, per usual custom, and my daughter went with an apple fritter. Both were great. Hers would've been even better, had she listened to me, taken it home, microwaved it for 10-15 seconds, before eating it, but she's a teen and already knows the ways of this world completely.
But, service was great, and the treats were great. I hope this place sticks around for a very long time!“

“After spending the night in the shadiest hotel I’ve ever stayed, I was looking for a comfortable spot to just chill with my son for a bit with a nice cup of coffee. Tate Street Coffee House did not disappoint! The vibe is chill, and welcoming, and the coffee is amazing. Admitted I am a little boring with my coffee, just a good old cup of black with cream and sugar, but now I wish they were much closer to St. Louis!“
