“First time at this brewery after 5 months living in the area. There are a lot of great breweries in WNC and this one is among them. The taproom is really spacious and the outside area is even better since it’s out of town. The concert area outside looks really cool and they even have a stage inside too. The beers were quite good as well. I’m looking forward to another trip out to try some more beers!“

“We just left Eda Rhyne Distilling Company and I couldn’t resist writing a review right away. This was actually the third stop of the day after a big lunch at Red Ginger, and even though I wasn’t planning on drinking much, the diverse selection here completely pulled me in.

Iris was the highlight of our visit. She not only served us but also made us feel at home and gave us such a rich history of the distillery. The owners have a foraging background, and all of the herbs used come straight from North Carolina. Even the water here is top-notch. She shared that they had just recently reopened after Tropical Storm Helene last year, which made the experience feel even more special.

I started with a flight plus whiskey and tried the Bitter Tooth (sweet and smooth), the Appalachian Fernet, and the Rustic Nocino. The whiskey rye was impressively smooth. I loved the flight so much that I had to order an Amaro Sour, which turned out to be an absolute delight.

What’s really nice too is that this place is kid-friendly, so it feels very welcoming. Honestly, this is a spot everyone should check out while in Asheville. Stop in, take your time, and don’t leave without grabbing a bottle to bring home.“

“We stopped by 12 Bones with our two frenchies after hiking outside of Hendersonville on our way to our Airbnb in Fletcher. We loved that they were so dog friendly in the taproom, even providing us with a bowl of water for them. The beer selection was great, & the food was awesome too! My husband had the Hogzilla with baked beans & I had the BLT with corn pudding. Everything was absolutely delicious! One of our primary goals on vacation is always to eat unique foods, & these certainly helped us fulfill that. Everyone was so sweet to our dogs & service was great. Thanks for helping make my husband's birthday weekend great!“

My favorite was the shoots and blossoms salad… people are still telling me how amazing the food was and was the best food they had had at a catered event. Black Bear has a diverse menu to offer and it was very upscale. Don’t skip out on Black Bear BBQ for your catered event!“
