“Some people's expectations are set too high, apparently. This place is a great example of a traditional mom & pop country cafe. Staff is always friendly when I come by in the evenings and it doesn't take long for me to get my food, even when they're on the phone taking orders and there are more people in the dining area. Overall this is a great place and I don't understand the bad reviews. If you're taking a drive down 501 from Roxboro to Durham or vice versa this is a great little place to stop for a quick bite.“

“What a great find in Roxboro. We were on the way back from the casino in Danville and stopped by for a nice lunch. Did a quick search and this place came up. Never been so we figured we give them a try. They have been open since 2013 and am embarrassed we never been. Wow did we mis out. I ordered the steak and my wife the chicken sandwich along with catfish bites. All were fantastic. And the service was super. The server was professional and quick with the food as it came out. We will definitely be back.“

“It was a pleasure to dine with friends at Golden Corral in Roxboro NC,we had best time,and our waitress was so very nice and kind to us,I didn't get her name,but she was ?!!! We need more people like that,she really does enjoy her job, and we could tell she enjoy her job.kept us in drinks,we didn't have to ask,she was there with refills before we even needed them, ?, great job!! “Arrived 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday morning. That was my fault for not checking the schedule, but they didn't mind a bit. Got 2 eggs scrambled bacon grits and toast. Cooked perfectly, and in less than 10 minutes. Waitress was extremely nice.“

“Recently I've made 1 lunch trip and 3 breakfast trips and I must say everything that I've got has been on point !!! I love the fact that they have the fresh Shredded Hash Browns and the meats were not too hard but that's a preference thing. They have a friendly staff to meet your needs and it's local right here at your back door !!! Good Job !!“

“A great little diner with very friendly service, reasonable prices and large portions. The standout for me is how personable the servers are. Quick, delicious comfort food. Everything we ordered was very tasty. Our coffees were constantly replenished and we were checked on frequently for any needs. We will definitely return and I highly recommend checking the place out.“

“Mya was our waitress and she was excellent! Service with a smile is a rare thing these days. The burger and cheesesteak we ordered were both excellent and a much higher quality than many other restaurants in the area! We also truly loved the ambience of the lanterns, it added to the whole feeling of being in a "fantasy" tavern. Really a cool vibe that can't be described, only seen-- it's Better in Person!“

“Nice tavern bar restaurant vibe in dt roxboro.I think they had outdoor seating and hangout spot in the back.We all had burgers and enjoyed it.They had a huge amount of bar space and plenty of seating. Decent amount of parking for being a downtown area, it was evening when we went no issues.“
