“Mickey D's are basically the same anywhere to go, right? Hmmm. Not really. No. The food we order at our MD's in Walkertown is sometimes, well, just bad. I had a filet-o-fish two days ago that I swear they must have reheated that square piece of fish at least 3 times. The corners were hard as a rock! My fries were a cold, soggy mess. We only live 5 minutes from the store so my takeout order should not have been that cold, that fast. My husband's burger was not made like it was ordered on the app. I ordered four of the strawberry/cream cheese pies. We got two. They had the top of the bag folded down and stapled shut! That was a new experience there and I hope it's not a sign of new times. We're going to the new Cookout for our next burger meals!“

“I was in Winston-Salem recently and stumbled upon this coffee shop and love it! It's got a great atmosphere and is backed by a good mission. The staff was very friendly and very helpful, the food was great, the wifi was fast, I even enjoyed their music selection! There are so many things that make this coffee shop unique and feel special. They have a pin board for customers to pin where they're from, they use playing cards for customer orders, they prioritize inclusivity in their hiring process. I will definitely be coming back here next time I'm in Winston-Salem.“

“My girlfriend and I recently visited Winston Salem for the Thanksgiving weekend. I love cats and have always wanted to visit a cat cafe. When we were researching things to do, we found Crooked Tail on TikTok and made a reservation. When we got there, the staff was super nice and helpful. We had such a great time. The cats are so very well cared for. We do have two honorable mentions- Princess (the epitome of a sassy orange cat) and Sharpie (the sweetest cuddliest black cat). I got an iced latte and it was SO delicious. One of the best iced lattes I’ve had in a while. The barista was so sweet. We will definitely visit when we are back in Winston Salem again!“

“DeBeen Espresso is an absolute gem! Adam was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I tried the Peppermint Mocha, and it was perfection! “This is a lovely place to grab a coffee, do some work etc, in a great location. However their Wi-Fi is often nonfunctional (given they seem to use the public Wi-Fi nearby and not their own) and there are often no pastries at all (due to delivery problems?). Dealing with those things would massively improve the experience.“

“You’ll walk through an alleyway that is decorated with a literary mural on both sides. You’ll find this little gem is snuggled into a nook with two entry ways. One door is to a coffee shop that had the tastiest coffee flight and exceptional customer service. The coffee shop is industrially furnished and decorated with beautiful pieces of art accompanied by relaxed lighting. The second door farther to the left is for the bookstore. This bookstore gives books a million vibes but someone took the time to list bookmarks for each section, explaining the types of books you’re looking at. They work with the community schools, as well. I’m not usually one for a “city” environment but this spot is a treasure!“

“Went here for a work get together. This is a cool little coffee and doughnut shop! The atmosphere inside is cozy and quaint. There is a decent amount of seating outside as well. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be going back!!

“We stopped in for the Talk bar incidentally as visitors from out of state. Our bartender Matt knocked it out of the park! He was so pleasant, social, and accommodating. He listened to our drink desires and created cocktails for us that were better than anything we could have ever dreamed of. We come from a town with a few swanky cocktail bars that “customize” drinks. They don’t hold a candle to the creations Matt has up his sleeve. PLEASE stop here and visit this man and this bar!“

Everyday it’s such a pleasure to wake up to their smiling faces. They all go above and beyond with their customer service even when slammed they always take the time to greet me and if extra time is allotted they get to know me more and more. THEY ALL ROCK!!“

“My husband & I are a bit picky about our coffee at home—we have it down to an art with a spreadsheet comparing various grind speeds/times, etc. We consistently come back to Krankies & have it auto shipped (I think going on 3 or 4 years now.) “I love this place for real— it is SUCH a shame they have such rowdy customers in the reviews.
I come in with my kids everyday and they always ask for cake pops to which the barista at the counter always greets me and says hi and even knows my kids names.
The Barista Bella is super kind and knows how to keep up a conversation!! She’s super kind and even fought off a rowdy customer for me once… she needs a raise!!
But seriously though, these crusty customers are freaking crazy— they’re complaining on google reviews about how they weren’t greeted when they came in and how Starbucks (a luxury expense) costs $7 for a Frappuccino (not even coffee atp.) some people have 0 brain cells and it shows.
I come here once a month for my business ventures with my husband and every time the drinks are consistent and delicious. I can’t fathom how perfect this place is.
Honestly? Every Starbucks in the high point area is just great!!

Vegetarian options: I love veggies. But if you’re strictly vegetarian you’re unfortunately limited!!
Either way, concepts of thoughts and prayers!

Dietary restrictions: If I had a diet(130 pounds going strong by the way!!)
this place would still be great as the baristas are knowledgeable and know their menu items to a TEA. (Get it? Tea?)

Parking: A lot of parking because they’re in the center of a lot of spaces and it’s great.

Kid-friendliness: The baristas here are super kind to my kids and even gave a free cake pop one time when my son dropped it.

Wheelchair accessibility: If I had a wheelchair I would never want to get up because this place is so nice“

“Located just off the elevators from the Publix parking garage, this Starbucks is convenient to grab a hot or cold beverage before heading in to Publix to shop. The barista here made great recommendations and she made the caffeine-pick-me-up just perfect!“

“I go to this establishment to get coffee and to play chess on my tablet, I'll be honest I have never eaten the food, I also go to this establishment to enjoy the eye candy, that's street talk for looking at the beautiful older females. The place is so clean I believe they can possibly past a USA. Marine Corps inspection since I am a old school ex marine from the early 70s. They need a larger restaurant for inquisitive minds while starting the morning off great and unwinding after the work or play day is coming to end. I just love their efforts to be nice and kind and professional to all guest, who knows made one day the may put on their menu those old school grease brown pepper bag of oat meal cookies that many upon many of boys and girls enjoyed in the early years of 1960s 50s 40s and beyond.
