“This McDonalds is no diff than any other one. They all have good and bad moments. i just get so irritated by the condiment waste. i ask for 1 pack ketchup, 1 pack of salt and 4 packs of pepper. i rcv 5 ketchup(i only have a hashbrown that i need it for) and 5 packs of salt, who would use that much salt( maybe i should take it home and pour the packs in my salt shaker) and 6 packs of pepper(which is fine, pepper doesn't go to waste with me). that kind of waste bothers me.“

“I had my first issue with this location this morning. My friend surprised me with a Venti PSL & I was shocked to see it was only half full. So, she paid for a Venti & basically got a grande. People need to get what they pay for. Other than that, this Starbucks has always been great.“

“Editing this review UNFORTUNATELY. As time has passed, and the crew has changed, newer workers are making coffee in... interesting ways. I feel like I'm having the unfortunate typical Dunkin experience now of a 50/50 chance of getting a decent drink. I find that the coffee used for the iced coffee is frequently burnt, and the blended freeze coffees have a taste I can only assume is due to a powder that is sometimes added to frozen drinks (not completely sure, but all around, the best i can describe the flavor is Powder).

The people here are still incredibly nice, and the food itself is as good as always. But there is an inconsistency in the drink making that I think warrants a little more training. I hope that this doesn't stay the case with a Dutch Bros on the way, as it's going to be a touch competition given I've never had this experience with their coffee.“

“I cannot say enough good things about this business. This is my new regular spot! There is plenty of seating, with a variety of seating options. I adore the window nooks on a rainy day and the downstairs for when I may need to focus a bit more. This coffee shop has plenty of restrooms that make it especially nice for when it is busy. They provide board games and a chess board which I've used a number of times with a good selection of books as well. I must also express how welcoming it feels, Lot 63 being in Old Salem provides a true community feel that you can't quite get anywhere else in Winston. I've also realized just how freeing it is to be somewhere I feel comfortable leaving my things to pick up drinks or run to my car.

Their coffee is very consistently made. It is never too sweet. Their avocado toast is the only food I've tried and absolutely no complaints with that either. They have a wide range of hours open, which is hard to find these days.

As a former service worker it’s agonizing to watch them drowning in orders knowing it could have been prevented. You have a line put the door and 10 people waiting for drinks- only one person who is tasked with running drink register and making drinks. Do better for your employees. Barista was excellent. “When they say they make their donuts fresh, they really mean it. We got two classic glazed that must have come right out of the fryer, it was awesome. I also had some focaccia which was top tier. It was nice to grab a couple of iced coffees and then wander around the grounds and shops. This is one of our go-to’s for a small casual breakfast when hosting friends in town.“

“As of this current year, up until this morning, I was thrilled with this location. Being that I work in Clemmons, I used to frequent the Clemmons spot, but that location is absolutely awful. Nice baristas but the wait, and parking lot logistics are so very bad. I started to go out of my way, and used Cloverdale. For a long time, it was my favorite. Great baristas deliver yummy food & service. Then they started with a barista out in the drive through, which IMO, resulted in watery drinks and cold food. So, I started with Jonestown. Not as out of my way, but still backtracking. Anyway, great baristas and yummy food. I even got hit while waiting at the window, by the dude behind me. But even that, didn’t compare to today’s crappy visit. I don’t know where the regular crew were, and I understand that people have bad days, but when you work with the public directly, and you are the face people see before driving away, you really should be at your best and act happy with your job, or at the very least smile and be courteous. The guy seemed deflated and told me it was busy, though I have seen it way worse. I tried to make it better by smiling and attempting to chat, but he just stood there and didn’t engage. Then he handed me one bag, and said have a good day. I said I still needed another bag and a drink. He looked at me with a blank expression. I then looked into the bag, and didn’t see my sandwich. I notified him it was wrong and he didn’t seem concerned. I showed him the bag and he said, yea a bacon Gouda. I said yea but it’s sausage and cheddar, it’s wrong. Again, blank stare. Someone else came over, I repeat myself and that person looks in the bag and says oh they put sausage on it, and walks away. I say to original barista, they also put cheddar, it’s not the sandwich I ordered. He finally says oh yea we made the wrong one. Ugh. So he steps away and comes back with another bag (my bakery item). Hands it to me and says have a good day. I say, I am still waiting for the coffee and the correct sandwich. So he steps away again and hands me the correct sandwich, which looks like someone made it without and care - ciabatta is off the egg and bacon is dangling off the sandwich, fine whatever. I repeat about my coffee. He looks confused. I repeat my coffee order, he steps away, and then as he is handing it to me, he runs his hand all over the top of the lid, including the spout area 🤦🏻‍♀️ It started with ordering. I’ve ordered my coffee this way for years. A grande iced coffee - light ice - with caramel & cream, classic ok. But this time the barista didn’t understand and started asking me if I wanted caramel syrup or drizzle. I have no idea, no one has ever asked me?? Ugh. I’m not typically a complainer, I usually broadcast fabulous service and understand everyone has bad days. But, I don’t think I will return to this location, which doesn’t leave me with many other location options. Now I’m deflated and I’m heading into work. Will I let this crappy morning affect me? No, because I work with the public and that’s not how I roll.“

“Camino Bakery Brookstown location is one of my favorite spots in Winston-Salem. It doesn’t matter what brings me to town, I always start or end my trip at this bakery. They have the best specialty coffee and tea drinks, my favorite is the their earl grey latte, iced. But the true reason I never miss a chance to stop in is their ginger molasses cookie. It is by far the best thing I’ve ever tasted! The sweet staff always makes me feel welcome like I’m a friend when I’m there. It’s a must when you’re in town!“

The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I came in with an order I received from another Starbucks- just to toss it. When I asked if they wanted me to dump it before tossing it the associate offered to remake it. I told her I would just reorder since it wasn’t their mistake. Once I got up to the register to reorder, they took my order and cleared out the charge. This was incredibly sweet of them. Now I will rather go to this Starbucks vs the original one that messed up my order.
