“Great food, service, & beer selection! The fried pepperoni & cheese curds were delicious. My wife liked the firecracker shrimp Alfredo, but said it had some spice. The Greek platter was amazing as well. I got the combination to try both the lamb & chicken. The chicken tasted like souvlaki & was good, but I favored the lamb. I typically would order an old fashioned, but they did not have large blocks of ice. Given what Helene’s impact on western NC, I was happy to see this restaurant thriving & folks in good spirit. This place is a gem for the community, and I highly recommend.“

“I had breakfast; two eggs over-medium, bacon, Grits, toast, and coffee. The food was cooked to order, hot, and delicious at a good price. The staff were attentive and pleasant, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Check it out if you haven't already, and I will look forward to eating there again.“

“Tommys is one of those places owned by locals, visited by locals. Cooking by the owner. Great wait staff. Meat and three sides served in separate small bowls. Choose the 3 you want from the list of 12. Always a doggie bag. Rib eye and prime rib (usually) cooked just right and the size of the dinner plate. $22. Less than buying just the raw meat. And good! Always 1 or 2 meals of leftover. Eat with the locals in this little old fashion boothed place. Greek and italian. Good spanakopita. Great Baklava.“

“Our New Year's Eve dinner at the Glass Onion was fabulous, as expected. We're new to the area and this was our second dinner at the restaurant. We started with tuna tartare, Caesar salad and the yummy complimentary rolls. I had the delicious lobster ravioli entree and my husband had the rib eye steak. Both were wonderful. We agreed that we will be regulars at Glass Onion!“

“We stopped here for breakfast at apx 11 am this morning, 07/07/23. We sat at the counter due to all seats being taken, busy place. Service was great, food was excellent, staff were all friendly and helpful and the camaraderie among them was easy and comfortable . The two 'grillmasters 'Bob' and ? sorry I forgot to ask her name ..were amazing to watch. 8 plates up and no tickets, mind boggling. Breakfast was an enjoyable experience. we will make this a regular stop on travels. The Priddy of Danville KY Five ⭐ ⭐ ⭐⭐ ⭐“

“What a great place to celebrate our birthdays. Two from KY and two from Augusta GA to enjoy celebrating all four of us having birthdays. Stuart who waited on us was EXCELLENT. We asked him about the damage to Asheville and we could hear it in his voice how hurt he was because others suffered so much. He was very gracious that we chose Asheville to celebrate our birthdays. I had the best shrimp and grits ever and I'm 73. Every meal the fried oysters, salads, Reuben Sandwich there is no negative experience. I hesitated to order the banana pudding but was intrigued by the description. So glad I did, it was so different than what I've ever had but the BEST I've ever had. Thank you to everyone working that day on 1/22 that wished us Happy Birthdays and made this such a wonderful memory for all 4 of us. Very welcoming, great personalities but above all GREAT FOOD.“

“Fabulous food and service as always. Connor was a great server. Cocktails were delicious too. And presented in lovely thin glass. We really appreciated a straight bill no kitchen tip or credit card fee added. Makes one happy to tip very well. Keep up the great work Posana. One would never know this is a designated GF restaurant the food is just amazing.“

“This was hands down one of the best breakfast spots we tried during our weekend getaway to Asheville. My boyfriend and I both got a bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit which was out of this world!! Reminded us of authentic southern homemade cooking, something hard to come by with many chain or franchise restaurants. Highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try!“

“Stumbled upon this gem while visiting Asheville. Close to a wonderful independent bookstore so stopped in for lunch and nostalgia. My husband’s BLT and my chicken salad were excellent. So fun to sit at the lunch counter and see and listen. One of my favorite parts was watching a worker make a steaming, frothy hot chocolate with a machine that looked like it was from the 60s. After enjoying lunch at a great price, I was able to walk through the art gallery. The Soda Fountain is definitely a cool place to go!“

“Michael was our server and he was truly amazing!! The atmosphere was so cozy and romantic and the service was immaculate! My husband and I had never experienced a dining experience like this. The hostesses were so friendly and kind, all the waiting staff were accommodating, and Michael worked so hard to make sure we had the best possible experience. The food was unlike any we had tried before and was fresh. It came out quickly and tasted like it was very well prepared by highly trained chefs. We absolutely will be returning in the future and recommend it to all that can make it.“

“The Village Pub is an absolute gem in Asheville! Great atmosphere with plenty of pool tables, TVs for watching all the sports, and a solid menu of food and drinks that never disappoints. The place has that perfect mix of local charm and fun energy. Jessie makes the experience even better—always welcoming, attentive, and genuinely great at making everyone feel at home. “We were up in Mars Hill to have a lookie-loo, and sadly there were not many restaurants open - most seem to open at night. We drove past the Wagon Wheel, but I nixed the idea as I am a bit tired of country cooking. We were maybe 5 miles heading back to Asheville, and hubs was looking at the menu. Well we ended up doing a U-ie!
Place was busy! Lots of locals who all know one another it seems. It also seems that many of them eat there every day! We were NOT disappointed. Our server Caitlin was fantastic. I had the Philly cheesesteak with fries and it was yummy. Arnold Palmer was on point. Hubs went cuckoo! He had the meatloaf special. Meatloaf was good, but the mashed taters and gravy were delicious. Turnip greens were excellent as was the fried okra and fried yellow squash. We got some of their tortilla chicken soup to go - will be for dinner tomorrow.
All in all, it was an excellent meal. Came in around $24 for the two of us. Highly recommend.“

“The Carolina dog is the best hotdog in the world. A dance between the devil with the chilli and onions and the angle of the sweet coleslaw just hits different. And the dog has a snap to it i have never enjoyed before. Jade is a sweetheart and makes them dogs quick and delicious. Must visit.“

“We love our outings to Creekside - Georgia loves the chicken and fries and I had buffalo wings this time which I really enjoyed. I usually get the salad with smoked chicken and its my all time favorite. The staff are great and the atmosphere is cozy. So if you are looking for a great place to eat, with a good atmosphere and great eats - Creekside is my favorite place in East Asheville.“

“Had a great Turkey Pita and White Ale on the patio with friends. Excellent wooded vibes and great food selection!
I would recommend 1) Something to keep the tables from wobbling. 2) A menu with accurate pricing. My bill was different than the menu suggested.“

“What a great brewpub! We were in town for three days and got dinner here each night, so we sampled lots of the fare. Slight of brews, all well made to style. Cocktails using their own distilled spirits, very well balanced and crafted. Food ranging from poutine to soups, nachos to sandwiches, consistently excellent. And I simply have to mention the Tallow Fries — best fries you will ever have!
The service was consistently excellent. The noise level quite low even when crowded, which is not easy to achieve with a high ceiling. All in all a comfortable place with top notch food, beverages and service.“

“We were a party of 8...in the summer...around lunchtime...so it was crowded but we were seated quickly..had biscuits right away and our food came out quickly...portions were huge..(.I think the meatloaf slice was a pound of beef by itself.)..Staff were courteous and helpful with our wheelchair and walkers.food was reasonably priced... our only "negative" comment would be that some desserts ran out :( but everything else was great!“

“We recently stayed at the Village Hotel and walking to and dining at Cedric's is always a favorite. We wanted to watch an NFL game, so we switched our table reservation so we could dine at the bar. The bartenders made the evening so very enjoyable, the atmosphere could not have been more fun, and the food, as always, was delicious, as were the cocktails. Still remains one of our favorite spots. Well done, Cedric's!“
