“Everest kitchen has stepped up their original game and brought back freshly made, authentic Indian food to Wendell. Any amount of minutes is definitely worth the wait for a table here, especially since the same friendly faces are now running the show. Being as busy as they are, they always take the time to make sure it's a comfortable wait, so have a drink at the bar! The phenomenal Samoa's come out hot and fresh and well complimented by the house made red dipping sauce. I thoroughly enjoy the heavier presence of basil and excellent balance of spices. The PANEER TIKKA MASALA or Chicken Tikka Masala are still the stars of the show in my book. Cheers!“

“The food here is excellent for a Chinese carryout. Spices in the wonton are perfect. The fried wontons are crispy. Filling is great. The entree delicious spices.

This man needs to get a proper website with his full menu up. So far nothing online shows all of what he has available.“

“Went there for the first time on 2/14/2025. Ordered take-out from the dinner menu. Had the combination Hunan Chicken, sesame chicken, lo mein, crab Rangoon, & hot & sour soup. The flavors were all great!!! There is only one set back I want to mention…. “The Lo Mein” is not my preferred dish & will not order it ever again. The noodles were spaghetti noodles & does not do any justice to the dish. I was told my order was will be ready in 30 mins (I know it’s an estimate) but I got there 30 mins later & waited an additional 30 + mins….

Parking: I couldn’t find the place cause their lights were off. The parking was hard to get in & out due to heavy traffic (went around 6pm).“

“The "older Asian woman" referred to deals with customers up front, works the kitchen, answers the phone, and also helps with take-out orders, and serves the tables, often at the same time. Don't come in the door expecting the staff to pander you. They have many other customers being served at once, not just you. People who deal directly with the public typically can judge your attitude within seconds - how they respond often depends upon how you treat them when you first open your mouth. This is one of our favorite restaurants, and after 10 years we keep coming back. That "older woman" is a person too. She is also a grandmother; if you ask she might even share a photo or two. It will at least be a bright spot in her day while having to deal with rude and disrespectful entitled customers looking to get something for nothing. Every time we eat in, we leave with take-out containers due to the quantity of food on our plates. After a decade, we have never yet returned anything to the kitchen or found fault with a take-out order. They probably do mess up an order here and there; as do most all restaurants. Deal with it in a polite and respectful manner rather than shouting and screaming; that is a reflection of you, not the restaurant staff. Fuji China preps hundreds of take-out orders a week, yet only a small percentage leave reviews. That's because those of us who are completely satisfied seldom do reviews. Emotional customers and self-styled influencers post the most negative reviews - just read a few of them, they are plainly not rational customers.“

“One piece of advice, don't get delivery. Pick up only and show up 5 minutes before your projected "order ready" time.
There are dishes that they do up right and then some that could use some R&D.
1. Sesame Chicken = great!
2. Egg Foo Yung = great!
3. Sweet & Sour chicken = as expected
4. Moo shu pork or chicken = the moo shu is good, but the pancakes are shit! I use tortillas from LA Bonita
5. Beef with garlic sauce = awesome!
6. Fried rice = don't waste your money
7. Dragon & Phoenix = good
8. Shrimp with cashew = great!
9. Wonton soup = don't even
10. Hot & sour soup = good
11. Shrimp & scallop in pepper sauce = very few scallops, and it would be sooooooo much better with sautéed shrimp. The breaded and fried shrimp in the dish are just mushy and gross.

Lastly...could we get an option to NOT put a bazillion packets of sauce in the bag?!?!“

“The OG of Chinese hole in the wall restaurants. Not a place where you’ll find orange-sauced chicken nuggets but an obvious neighborhood favorite judging from the continual to-go traffic. We enjoyed generous portions of chicken fried rice and shrimp fried rice. One star withheld for greasy egg rolls. The egg drop soup lacked flavor (to me) but the egg was very tender. The atmosphere was lacking but the prices make up for it; $16 each for our meals plus counter tip.“

“I love this place. The food is so good. I miss some of the food they no longer serve like the hamburger roll thing. I like their pink and orange square cakes. I usually get takeout. They are friendly. I like their rice, teriyaki chicken, beef, and egg rolls. It could be cleaner. My dad and I think we got covid twice from this place but who knows really. Make sure to wash your hands just in case. If you are watching your sodium, this place is not for you. I enjoy the Mandarin music.“

“Please update your menu prices on your web site. If you offer a item on the menu. You should have it. Otherwise remove it from the menu. If a customer spends a certain amount. A free soda should be offered, or something free. My suggestion, love the food.“

“The food here is more old time authentic, has a great grill taste, the people are kind and at least offer you a smile and a thank you. It's not a place for atmosphere or fancy to say the least, but the food is good considering most places around here are not authentic. For me they have the best chicken lo-mien around here.“

“I ordered online for pickup, the man at the counter was friendly, and I picked up my order with ease. The food was still hot when I got home, and it was delicious! I got sweet & sour chicken, and it was probably the best I've ever had. My partner said that the crab rangoons were ran-good! ?“

“Thank goodness I didn’t go based on the reviews because I am 100% satisfied with my meal! The flavor is equivalent to New York City Chinese food! Since I moved to North Carolina, I have not found a Chinese food place that was this good! Portion size was great and flavor is phenomenal!
I got lo mein with boneless spareribs and then an orange chicken with white rice & egg rolls. I’ll definitely be coming back.
