“I had an okay experience here. I had ordered fries with my burger and I had said truffle salt, but the fries weren't up to my expectations, so they may have been saltless to some degree. The Sprite I drank also tasted very watered down.

That said, the burger I had was great! The atmosphere of this restaurant is pretty cool too, and they had some very interesting seating options, and it almost seems like the restaurant has three distinct parts to it. A fine dining area up front, a casual but still highly decorative and upscale section that I ate in, and even a downstairs section for large events.“

“I thought it was a rather unimpressive looking restaurant in the awesome Carolina hotel but I assumed that they would be renovating it when the lobby is done. We were there for an early dinner and my husband wanted a strip steak but it was not on the Ryder Cup lounge menu. And, the main dining room did not open until 6:00. Despite that, the server went to the dining room and was able to get the strip steak for my husband. I decided to just have the Caesar salad and a few bites of his meal. The wine was good, the Caesar salad was great, and the steak was a perfectly cooked medium and was very tender. The potatoes were also very good. The really went out of their way to accommodate us and we very much appreciated it.“

Matt, the event manager, did an excellent job working with us to create a menu in our price point and had amazing communication throughout the planning process. “A great place to stay. The recently renovated rooms are comfortable, quiet, and well-appointed. The in-room Nespresso and welcome basket of local goods were great touches. Breakfast in the Carolina Dining Room and dinner downstairs at Villaggio are wonderful ways to start and end the day. My only complaint - Magnolia room keys don’t work at the resort fitness center, so you can’t access that amenity until they can get that fixed.“

“My family is originally from Vass but currently live in Columbia SC. When I drive up to see my mother we ALWAYS go to railhouse. We love the value of the food, and the quality.. I love the subs, pizza, wings ( get the Jamaican jerk or Sweet Thai Chili) for a meal and the Cheese curds are as good as what we get in the Upper Penusula of Michigan or Wisconsin (and we all know Michigan and Wisconsin know cheese curds.) I do think he main reason we keep coming back is really bc of Noelle. Noelle is the best waitress/bartender within 500+ miles ( and ive been to 43 of the 50 states so i have eaten out a lot all over. ) She remembers us everytime we come in ( even if its been months) she greets us with a HUGE smile, jokes with us and just makes sure we feel so welcome. Railhouse is lucky to have such an amazing person working for them. If I could give MORE than 5 stars I would bc she deserves it.“

Food is supremely gourmet, wonderfully high quality, beautiful, and plays with the taste buds in ways you may have never experienced or expected. “Sitting on their porch and enjoying a drink while watching the Pinehurst carriage go by was a delightful way to start our evening. We had a reservation for a party of 8. The restaurant was not extremely busy while we were there and there were 2 servers. Our server seemed to be having an “off night” and was slow to take our orders and the food was very slow to get to the table, but most of us were pleased with our food. Their prime rib was delicious. Their famous pork chop was dry tasting. The wedge salad was cold and crisp, with a nice blue cheese dressing. (You could get a half or full size salad.) The sole filet stuffed with crabcake was quite good, also. This restaurant is more about the ambience than the food, but food was very good we thought. We'll be returning.“
