“The baked goods are house made and very good. They use Counter Culture coffee and I’m not a huge fan of fruity coffees. This bakery does ‘Amish style’ baked goods so I was really looking forward to trying them but also peeking inside of their culture a bit while in the store. Although the staff is friendly, no one seemed to explain the menu items, greet customers, and so forth. Even though the owners were there, they didn’t engage with customers or create the sense of community I thought they would have. The food is good, but the atmosphere is a little uncertain and uncomfortable, esp if you’re by yourself. I recommend this place to try, but it’s no where I would go twice.“

“Listen. I need everyone to understand something: I walked into The Peach Cobbler Factory as a normal human being with regular dopamine levels and a functioning sense of restraint. I walked OUT as a changed person—someone who now understands why people write poetry and why prophets went into the desert seeking visions.

That first bite? I heard angels. Not like metaphorical angels—I’m talking ACTUAL celestial beings harmonizing in the key of brown sugar. My taste buds didn’t just wake up; they threw a full-scale celebration complete with confetti cannons and a mariachi band.

The peach cobbler came to my table still warm, glistening under the lights like it had its own Instagram filter built in. I picked up my fork with the reverence of someone defusing a bomb, knowing my life was about to be divided into “Before Cobbler” and “After Cobbler” eras.

The crust? Buttery enough to make Paula Deen weep with pride. The peaches? So perfectly sweet and tender they must have been sung lullabies while growing. The cinnamon-sugar ratio? Scientifically perfect. I’m pretty sure NASA was involved.

I may have made sounds that I’m not proud of. The couple at the next table asked if I was okay. I was NOT okay—I was TRANSCENDENT. There’s a difference.

Do yourself a favor: go to The Peach Cobbler Factory. Bring stretchy pants. Bring your enemies so they can become friends over cobbler. Bring a signed waiver because this experience should probably be regulated by the FDA for being dangerously delicious.

I’m not saying this cobbler solved all my problems, but I’m also not NOT saying that.
10/10. Would sell my furniture for another slice.

“I've been coming to Flower's Bakery for years. The bread is fresh and much less expensive from the grocery. Today, I brought a loaf of Nature's Own SF bread , mini donuts, and a box of snack cakes ($1.50 each). It was less than $5, or about what I would spend for a bread loaf at the grocery. They often have holiday themed items that are hard to find. I saw fruit cake, pumpkin spice donuts, and popcorn balls, to name a few.“

As a vegetarian I typically only have a few things to choose from when it comes to eating out, but Salem Kitchen had sooo many options to choose from that I could take home and bake! The young woman helping me at the counter was an absolute GEM- I wish I had gotten her name (she wears glasses and has a Studio Ghibli tattoo like me!) I let her know I was a vegetarian and she showed me an entire section of their menu that was meat free! There are so many sides and desserts as well that looked absolutely delicious. “For an Italian place in North Carolina, it’s actually pretty good, especially the pastry section. The food is an adaptation, but it’s not bad at all. We had eggplant Parmesan, a focaccia, and an aragostela.
Nice service!
I recommend it if you are any to haw a TASTE of real Italy!

“Some of the best sweets in Winston, plus nice coffee and lots of vegan options. The whoopie pie was a bit sweet but really good with a texture almost like a brownie. The almond cake was syrupy and delicious. And the ginger cookie was the standout.“

“I always use INK for Cakes for all of my edible images. Although I haven’t personally purchased a printer yet, I recently learned from one of the gentlemen there that they have an amazing deal available, and I’m currently working toward taking advantage of it—including the printer, ink, and sugar sheets.
I have to say, my first experience with them was absolutely amazing. The staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet—very patient, attentive, and genuinely focused on customer service. At this time, I’m not in a rush to purchase my own printer because it’s so convenient to simply upload my image online and have it printed for me. I can either pick it up or have it mailed, and even for last-minute orders, I can walk in and they’ll print an image with no issues at all.
The service is consistently reliable, fast, and friendly. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for edible images.“

“If you're delivering sugar or anything heavy here it's probably best to come in through the front entrance and come through the employee parking to get to the dock.. you know how it is backing these autos up hill when heavy.. it's a little easier on your clutch if come through parking lot to setup your back for dock.. in and out less than 30 minutes.“
