“Came in, no wait. Everybody seemed nice. The owner is very efficient and wants to provide a good experience. I sat in my car and took the first bite of the sweet potato brownie w/ pecan and it was like a hug. Ohhhhh...,.. It was warm, sweet and tasted beautiful. It was what I needed at that moment. That thing was so good.“

“ADORABLE sweets shop. My family drives from Winston to go periodically because the ice cream and sweets are amazing. Tons of ice cream flavors, unique pastries, and of course cupcakes. Family friendly and super friendly service.

“First time at this location. I saw about four young men and women working at the time I stopped by. A young man offered to help me as their wifi had gone out and he needed to use the hotspot on his phone to get my order in. I appreciated his help.

The store delivered delicious cookies in a timely manner. My only critical point is that the store could’ve been cleaner. Especially given all the staff there. The counter had crumbles all over it and the glass doors were dirty with lots of smudges.

Still, a good visit overall. I would return.“

“The baked goods are house made and very good. They use Counter Culture coffee and I’m not a huge fan of fruity coffees. This bakery does ‘Amish style’ baked goods so I was really looking forward to trying them but also peeking inside of their culture a bit while in the store. Although the staff is friendly, no one seemed to explain the menu items, greet customers, and so forth. Even though the owners were there, they didn’t engage with customers or create the sense of community I thought they would have. The food is good, but the atmosphere is a little uncertain and uncomfortable, esp if you’re by yourself. I recommend this place to try, but it’s no where I would go twice.“

“We first found Dioli's a year or two ago when visiting my son's family in Winston-Salem. It's one of our favorite go-to places in WS. The sandwiches are fresh made with excellent bread and top quality, home made ingredients. Everything we've tried is outstanding, Italian sandwiches, shrimp salad, rotisserie turkey, etc. and the side salads (pasta, tortellini) are loaded with flavor. The desserts are spectacular. Can't wait to go back“

“Everything was well organized and labeled, plus they had a nice variety of breads and baked goods. They also had reasonably priced Ezekiel bread and keto bread. The lady who served us was a little grumpy, but it was the end of the day so maybe she was tired.

Vegetarian options: Most breads were probably vegetarian but only a few were vegan.

As a vegetarian I typically only have a few things to choose from when it comes to eating out, but Salem Kitchen had sooo many options to choose from that I could take home and bake! The young woman helping me at the counter was an absolute GEM- I wish I had gotten her name (she wears glasses and has a Studio Ghibli tattoo like me!) I let her know I was a vegetarian and she showed me an entire section of their menu that was meat free! There are so many sides and desserts as well that looked absolutely delicious. “I go to this establishment to get coffee and to play chess on my tablet, I'll be honest I have never eaten the food, I also go to this establishment to enjoy the eye candy, that's street talk for looking at the beautiful older females. The place is so clean I believe they can possibly past a USA. Marine Corps inspection since I am a old school ex marine from the early 70s. They need a larger restaurant for inquisitive minds while starting the morning off great and unwinding after the work or play day is coming to end. I just love their efforts to be nice and kind and professional to all guest, who knows made one day the may put on their menu those old school grease brown pepper bag of oat meal cookies that many upon many of boys and girls enjoyed in the early years of 1960s 50s 40s and beyond. “Burn away image worked flawlessly. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in a edible cake topper or a burn away image. You can't beat the price and both the images were clear and looked great. I would post the video but it only allows pictures here so I attached a few images of the cake.“

“We were there this past weekend for my cousins wedding reception and it couldn't have been any better. The coffee was delicious. The staff was so friendly. And the space definitely passed the vibe check. Can't recommend the mocha enough. :)“

“We went in today to grab some cake squares at the Dewey’s on Reynolda Rd. Hunter was working and he was so incredible! He got us everything we needed and more, and was so kind while doing it! “Went here for a work get together. This is a cool little coffee and doughnut shop! The atmosphere inside is cozy and quaint. There is a decent amount of seating outside as well. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be going back!!

“Great little bakery and coffee shop here at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. It's located on the ground floor across from Chic Fil A and right down from Subway and mail services.The staff is friendly. They have great vegan and gluten free options, although I don't have any restrictions personally. I've had their quiche a few different times and really enjoyed it.I normally get the regular drip but this time got the dirty chai latte hot with 2 shots of espresso. Very delicious and the espresso helped with the afternoon energy slump.They have a handful of yummy treats to choose from. My favorite (an actually the one I've eaten almost exclusively) is the ginger molasses cookie. SO good! Also popular, so it's hit or miss with availability.There is a smallish lounge area with about 8 or 10 tables (guessing by memory). They recently added the privacy glass/covering so that all the passerby's won't be in ya' bidness. lol“

“Best homemade Hummingbird cake I have ever ate. You can tell it is has everything fresh in it. The fruit to the fresh pecans and spices oh and that homemade cream cheese buttercream icing is out of this world good. This is my place for good homemade fresh cakes from now on. Oh and the price is so good. 40.00 for a three layer. Everyone else charges around 60 to 70 dollars. The best customer service. If you come in they are right there to serve you and so friendly. The most friendly place I have been too.“

“These cupcakes are so good. Moist rich and flavorful. I ordered the strawberry shortcake, wedding cake, birthday cake, and yellow with chocolate frosting. They all were good. “Ordered via GrubHub to get my cake fix during our stay-at-home order. We had the golden chocolate, strawberry layer, and pineapple coconut. Gah it was all so delicious. I didn’t expect much of the strawberry layer, but it might have been my favorite. Such great flavor.“

“If you're delivering sugar or anything heavy here it's probably best to come in through the front entrance and come through the employee parking to get to the dock.. you know how it is backing these autos up hill when heavy.. it's a little easier on your clutch if come through parking lot to setup your back for dock.. in and out less than 30 minutes.“

“It's been a while since visiting Old Salem and Winkler Bakery. It was a beautiful day to walk around Old Salem and visit some of the businesses. Winkler Bakery has a nice selection of merchandise! The staff were friendly and helpful! Looking forward to coming back.
