“Our first trip to Gather couldn’t have gone better. The host, Steve was super accommodating in seating us. I appreciated the table farther away from the majority of the business as it was quieter and more intimate. Our waitress, Cathleen was extremely helpful and super friendly, even giving our oldest daughter individualized attention without being annoying like a lot of servers are when we are trying to enjoy a night out as a family. The brussel sprouts were fantastic. I don’t know if I’ll ever eat them without cranberries again; who would have known. They added such a pop of brightness to the dish. My wife had the pad Thai and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Wagyu flat iron with Chimichurri, and where so many restaurants fail, they succeeded in having a well-balanced sauce that wasn’t overly acidic and provided a welcomed heat to the dish. Loved the elote corn which was kept warm the entire meal having been served in its own skillet. We also ordered the Mac and cheese which was very good, and even the chicken strips we ordered for our daughter was a shelf above any other restaurant. My daughter loved the donut holes and the birthday cake they prepared, although simple, was surprisingly delicious. They even do the simple things well! By far, the best dessert was the Strawberry-Basil sorbet; such a fresh and delightful way to end the meal. One of the things that stuck out to me most was the attention we got from the manager, Tony. Most of the time you see managers walking around, it feels like they are just “doing their job,” but this guy was bringing food out to customers, checking in with tables, assisting in any way he could, and genuinely looked liked he loved being there. He checked on a few questions we had about the food and he also gave special attention to our daughter which definitely elevated her experience. The service, food, atmosphere and getting to see their Hydroponic garden make this a must visit! Will definitely be back.“

“Picture it. Omaha. 2004. A young couple enjoying a late-evening dinner, on a beautiful patio, at a restaurant in Dundee. She's enjoying the mac n cheese. He, the smoked chicken lasagna. Together, they enjoy three bottles of riesling, one chocolate dessert, and (because why not), a couple of cigars they purchased at a nearby shop. As you can guess, that "he", was ME. Twenty-one years later, I heard about "Ooh De Lally" opening in the same location. I perused the online menu, and was thrilled to see that they serve our favorite dishes from when it was the last place (Mark's Mac n Cheese, and the Smoked Chicken Lasagna). As you can imagine, it was a no-brainer to set up a surprise date night, with that same beautiful lady (now my wife of 19 years), on that same beautiful patio. Her Mark's Mac n Cheese, and my Smoked Chicken Lasagna were even more delicious then we remember. We each enjoyed the same house cocktail, "Tiki Me Away" (Planteray Pineapple Rum, Banana, Orgeat, Lime, Dark Rum Float & Firewater Bitters). For dessert, the love of my life enjoyed the Key Lime Tart, and I jammed on the whiskey bread pudding. Now here's where the restaurant hit the third part of the trifecta (food, atmosphere, & service). Our server, Kristin (aka, The Bob Ross of Sauce) took, what was already a wonderful evening, to a whole new level, with her charisma & personality. And it wasn't just Kristin, the entire staff took care of us and made us feel so welcome. This place is a gem. Patronize it often. Tell your friends about it. Put the word out on social media. Keep this place open. Read about it's mission, and you'll see it's good for the community, and it's good for humanity.“

“Can’t say enough good things about The Boiler Room! Such a beautiful, intimate environment with the friendliest servers and unbelievably talented staff. The presentation of each plate is like a piece of art. The chef and team’s food is some of the most mouthwatering, flavorful food you will ever eat!! Definitely a hidden gem in downtown Omaha. “Today was our first time here, it was absolutely incredible! The food was well above my expectations, every bite was delectable! The staff was so wonderful and Troy (our waiter) even took great care to speak toto my very young children and took the time to hear what they had to say. I will come back here every chance I get!“

This place is my go-to, my comfort zone, and honestly, my love language in prime rib form. Let’s talk about Brian, the cocktail wizard behind the bar. He crafts a Manhattan that will make you question every other one you have ever had. I am not exaggerating when I say it is one of the best I have ever sipped. Their walleye? Perfectly crisped on the outside, buttery and flaky on the inside. And if you are lucky enough to snag a table on Fried Chicken for 2 on Thursday, Off. The. Chains. Service is always warm, the vibe is cozy without being pretentious, and the food is consistently top-tier. Whether I am showing it off to out-of-towners or sneaking in for a solo bite, Finicky Franks never misses. Run—do not walk.“

“Head Chef/Owner Anthony Kueper has set the bar high for other Omaha restaurants. His food is flavorful and unique. Chef Anthony has clearly honed his craft and deserves all the praise that can be mustered. Prices are excellent considering the quality of food and service. The unimposing facade of the building doesn't prepare you for the quaint elegance inside. You will not be disappointed with your experience here, regardless of which menu item you select. You really can't go wrong letting Chef surprise you with his tasting menu, either.“

“Awesome Experience! At first I wasn’t impressed. My server seemed to be really off, she fumbled her words, had a hard time answering my questions, (maybe she was nervous) etc. I ordered a martini but she brought me something terrible in a rocks glass! We ordered, the salad bar was amazing!!! Fresh and had several choices. Our meal was another story, our waitress got our order wrong. I wanted chicken parmigiana and I got a sandwich?! She did get it corrected but I had to wait longer. At the end of our meal the manager trish came over to offer apologies. She also brought me the martini I originally asked for that she said she made herself. Awesome!! It was delicious!! She was friendly, chatted with us for a moment and deliver our bill. She didn’t even charge me for the drink! We noticed her guiding our server who was then having issues at another table. I would say we won’t be back but Trish really helped turned our opinion around! She’s definitely a manager who cares! We will give it another try and hopefully just get a more proficient server!“

“they were at the late night at the zoo and barely an hour into the event they started crossing off items on the menu due to not being prepared for the size of crowd. The guy at the window seemed like he could careless to be there. I also understand that its a larger event but having to wait 20+ mins for simple loaded fries is ridiculous. After 25 mins i ended up getting a refund. Im not usually one to leave bad reviews, but felt this one was needed.“

“A couple weeks ago we brought are kids in, it was me and my mom with my five kids and three nephews. We for sure thought it would be a circus. But the staff were so nice and helpful. They let each kid order, gave them their own coloring sheet and it just felt as if they went above and beyond for us. Every time we’ve ever gone for dinner it’s always a great experience but this time was just above all the rest!! Also the chicken bacon ranch taco was absolutely delicious!! “Do not sleep on Shevy’s in Elkhorn. I’ve meant to post about their prime rib dip sandwhich forever, but I always inhale it before snapping a pic. This time, I showed restraint (barely). Juicy, tender prime rib, gooey melted cheese, and grilled buttery bread that deserves a standing ovation. The au jus? Not too salty, just rich and dunk-worthy. Fries? Absolute top-tier. Crispy outside, soft inside. Tied with Addy’s for best in town. My fiancée got the Philly and we both agreed: it’s one of, if not the best we’ve tried around town. Full strands of grilled peppers and onions, not the sad chopped bits you get elsewhere. And as always, Shevy’s has that friendly, down-home service. Go get you some.. and try to take a photo before you’re completely lost in the sauce. “Food: not as flavorful as I had hoped. I wish the waffles were crispier. The hot honey chicken tasted like it was just plain breaded chicken with hot honey on top. Goat cheese grits were good. Mac & Cheese waffles was just a waffle with Mac on it which also lacked flavor. Service: the restaurant was about half full and it took an hour to get 5 meals. I had to ask for the server at least twice as she was not checking on us and no where to be seen. Ambiance: Very cute interior. I loved the southern charm. I had high hopes.“

“First of all, I was a little irritated because the server wouldn’t give us her name, but when she explained why, I understood completely and so we called her Gina, with her permission. And Gina was stellar! She was attentive without being intrusive, made sure we had what we needed, had a great sense of humor, and made the experience really fun. She even managed to score us bread and olive oil even though the kitchen was closed! And she knew her wine. It was an all around positive experience and I look forward to going back regularly. “Sapp Bros truck stop near I-80 and 144th street in Omaha, Ne at the Coffee Kettle Cafe with my server Kelly.

I had an enjoyable meal of a Home style cafe feel, and warm friendly service. I am loving the new ways that Sapp Bros is having restaurants nowadays!! Check out the fresh made food. I had chicken strips with Real mashed potatos, small side salad, and a slice of lemon meringue pie with sweet tea to drink.

Though next time i will be having the hand-breaded chicken friend steak with real mashed potatoes...😋 Yum!

“I've been in probably way too many times over the past month or so in an attempt to try everything on the menu. Besides one dish that I won't order out of personal preference, everything has been amazing. Definitely need to swing by for happy hour to try a few things not on the regular menu.“

“The dinner at Zinc was outstanding. The food was extraordinary and the service was impeccable. The only disappointment of the evening was the difficulty in finding a parking space. We were directed to park at 12th Street but were unable to find the recommended parking area. We ended up parking at a parking meter and walking several blocks making us somewhat late for our evening appointment. But, despite the parking problem, the event was wonderful.“
