“As a former head chef I can appreciate how they do business. Very good atmosphere and more importantly, 5 star service. Had an issue with a pizza that I ordered and they not only remade both for me, they also gave me a gift card for the inconvenience. As someone who worked for four and five star hotels, this is where most other places miss the mark.“

“The Bistro is one of our favorite spots to eat. The food, service and atmosphere are fantastic. The wines are great and there is a full bar if wine isn't your thing. They change up the menu periodically which is fun. If you are there at lunch, I highly recommend the Chicken Salad Wrap which has wine soaked cranberries among other tasty ingredients. The crispy buffalo cauliflower appetizer is also amazing as are the new salted caramel wings (I was skeptical but WOW!).We also highly recommend the events there (and the Derry location). We have seen some great bands and been to some fabulous special meals (Valentine's Sinatra in Love and Easter brunch). All around an amazing place.“
“We attended a wedding and the food and rooms were great! The ac was not great but tolerable. The young man at check in was pleasant (unsure name). Paige and her staff were the best.We initally went ot the wrong building and Faith was very cheerful. Kenny was very helpful in helping us bring some luggage to our room and gave us some water. When we checked out Karen was very pleasant. I hope to stay here again and these people made us feel very warm and welcome.“

“A nice surprise in the cute town of Milford, right downtown on the oval. We have eaten here twice now, with friends, and had a good experience both times. When you walk in it looks like just a joint for the locals to drink beer and watch sports, which it is, but so much more. The building is old, and odd, with two kitchens. One for the pizzas and calzones, one for everything else. Some days of the week (like the first time we visited) only the ‘za & ‘zone kitchen is open, so the menu is quite limited then. This just provides an excuse to try the pizza, which is excellent! Nice thin crust with some char, and just the right amount of fresh, flavorful toppings. On the second visit one of our party got a pizza (still excellent), and the rest of us dove into the main menu, full of fairly traditional, and uniformly well-executed Italian options.Everyone was happy with their choices. And then there is the beer! This place must have a big brewery hiding in back, because the list of their own house-made styles covers both sides of a page. We are fans of darker ales, like brown ales, porters, and stouts, and we found the choices on that end of the scale very satisfying. But don’t fret, if you’re one of those IPA loving people (ya weirdos) there are plenty of choices for you too. Even some sours for that crowd. If you like beer with flavor, you should have no trouble finding something to enjoy.Desserts are good, but mostly standard. Tiramisu, chocolate lava cake, and the like. Yawn. Go for the dessert special, if there is one, it’s sure to be something unique and yummy.Service is good. The staff is friendly and efficient and knows the menu. No complaints at all.The atmosphere is kind of local sports bar-ish, with a few TVs in the bar area and a huge projection screen in the main dining room. The second night we visited the screen disappeared midway through our meal and a band began setting up on the little stage in the corner. It was a cold night and we had to put our coats on to finish eating because the band made about 35 trips in and out getting their equipment. This is one of those places that I wouldn’t go for the atmosphere (I don’t give a hoot about sports), but I will continue to return for the food. The Pasta Loft is a bit is a sleeper. Based on the impression you get when you first walk in, the quality of the food and beer will surprise you. Milford is lucky to have an unpretentious, quality watering hole like the Pasta Loft.“
