“We almost didn’t end up at Bolo because we had originally planned to try some of the more popular restaurants in the city, but everything was fully booked and we had a large group. I found Bolo on OpenTable at the last minute and I am so glad I did because it ended up being the best dinner we had during our trip.
The service was amazing. Our server, who was also a mom, was incredibly kind and attentive. She gave great menu suggestions, helped accommodate our toddler, and even helped make my graduation celebration feel special. And the food was absolutely incredible. I got a simple dish of rice and beans with steak and I cannot express how flavorful that dish was. The appetizers were also good. And also the drinks. Not a single thing was bad. The atmosphere was beautiful too. I’m honestly shocked this place wasn’t fully booked because it was such an amazing experience from start to finish. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Philly!“

“The waitress was wonderful…until I brought my slimy lobster to her attention. I ordered the paella which came with a split lobster and claw. The inside of the claw and tail was really mushy and slimy. The waitress didn’t attempt to fix the order. Also, an 18% gratuity is automatically added.
On another note, the empanadas (beef) were really tasty.“

“I chose to celebrate my birthday with brunch at Mamajuana based off of the social media posts I noticed on IG. Needless to say, it did not disappoint. My birthday brunch experience was amazing. The ambiance and energy were perfect. This is the exact vibe I was going for to celebrate my birthday. The service was great and I tried something different in terms of food which was also tasty. I highly recommend based off of my experience and would definitely return again. Shout out to Judy my hostess/server who was very attentive!“

“Hands-down, one of my new favorite restaurants! My boyfriend and I went to last night for New Year’s and the staff there was insanely amazing and kind and thoughtful and generous. My boyfriend had a medical emergency which resulted in us having to leave via ambulance and the staff there just handled it was so much grace. I can’t believe I’ve never been before but I will 100% be going back again and again and again! You guys are amazing and we are forever grateful!“

“La Esquina del Bronco is an absolute gem in the neighborhood to get some amazingly authentic Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 food! Everything is in the hot case so you get served quickly. It’s all so fresh and delicious. As others have mentioned I agree that the portion sizes are very large! If you’re not sure what to get you can ask the owner and they’ll recommend you something. It’s located right by the York Dauphin L station, just a block away. Prices are reasonable. You can eat in or get takeout. I recommend everyone to try!“

“I stopped by this little spot for a quick bite and ended up blown away! I ordered the grilled chicken wrap, veggie fritters, and a side of fries — everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The chicken was juicy and seasoned just right, easily some of the best I’ve had in the area. The fritters were crisp on the outside and soft inside — absolutely delicious! The staff was super friendly, quick with service, and the place was spotless. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. This has definitely become my new go-to food stop — highly recommend!“

“My family loved the food. We ordered four pupusas with beans and cheese, four more of those with cheese and loroco, guacamole, and maduros. The generous portions made it enough for two adults and two little kids, and we had leftovers too! My only complaint is that they only have their stuffed plantains available in the morning.“

“I love this place they have any Hispanic snacks you could think of they have gone a long way before it was just snack and then food like hot dogs and pupusas and ramen I haven’t tried the pupusas but I bet their so good I always get their hot Cheeto corn I love it service is good the place is very well decorated and the food is out in 10-20 minutes“

They have a pleasant jukebox and seating here. I generally recommend this spot to my companions since it is one of my #1 spot in Philly.“

“Food is always good, reasonably priced. Portion size on point and place consistently clean. Only had 1 time where I was thrown back that for salmon, it increased that platter cost to $18. Other than that, I will continue to order from this place. Street parking could be a hit or miss.“
