“Never disappoints! Busy and loud but it’s a unique bar with really good food (unlike most bars that serve ok food). If you’re there late week evenings call for a reservation. Good selection of draft beers and full bar. A few apps but they’re good…chowder was very good. Three sizzling steak specials at our table.. fries or fried onions.. cooked to order and served sizzling on toast (hot plate!). One halibut ordered , equally cooked perfectly! Very reasonable prices. Great night!“

“Excellent food! They have a reputation for their pizza, but we ordered dinner entrees. We arrived early on a Saturday (4:50 pm). By 5:30, people were waiting for tables. It's a very popular place! I had veal parmigiano with penne, which was excellent. I can't remember what my friend had, but she said hers was excellent, too. The salads were crisp and fresh. My only issue is that the parking is on-street, though there does seem to be a fair number of spots. I suggest that you get there early; it will be worth it!Parking: You may end up several blocks down the street. Parking was free when we were there on a Saturday night in February. I didn't notice if there were meters for use during the week or in the summer.“

“I only had the beer so I cannot comment on the food, though...the reviews on that are fruitful and quite good.If you grew up in the Woodbridge-Metuchen-Edison area, you definitely hit up Hailey's on more than one occasion. D'Arcy's has the same vibe, just closer to the Jersey shore. "Football" scarves are in abundance, great crowd, great beer. What more could you ask for? The Irish are the best...or maybe I'm just a little biased. Slainte.“

“My daughter and I went to enjoy a dinner together - I moved from AP 4 yrs ago and this was an old night club. After a few missteps due to work being done upstairs we got a table inside (they bent over backwards to make it work for us!). Honestly, most of the "new" restaurants in AP cater to the tourists (why they never last) but this place, off the "beaten track" is amazing and I hope it lasts. We started with the deviled eggs which I will dream of from now on, and the tuna tartare. Split the (?) black bean burger with a side of the Brussels sprouts that were to die for!! Drinks were perfect and "fun" ( you can discover why). Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!!!!“

“Since moving to Neptune City, this has become our go-to hometown date night spot - and it never disappoints. Ever. They are taking great care to bring you a rotating menu of interesting flavors made from the highest quality ingredients. The cocktail menu always has something for everyone. The staff and ambiance is always 100% on point. Honestly, I would eat a burger here every night for the rest of time if I could afford it. Love this place.“

“We went there for dinner on Thursday night and were pleasantly surprised to find the 25 for 3 menu (3 course meals for $25). We ordered chicken wings, stuffed mushrooms, monkfish, steak and fries, brownie and rice pudding. The food was delicious and great for the value.“

“New ownership doing a stellar job. Really good menu. Never had a bad meal. Pace of is service is fine. Friendly people. Unlike many restaurants in our area, McCann's prices are not over inflated. Try the cajun steak bites. You won't be disappointed.“
“Really great upscale bar food plus! Maria was a fabulous server and recommended the zucchini blossoms which were awesome. We had a burger, fish tacos, tuna app, and chix empanadas which were all top notch. Good drinks and wine. Looking forward to a return visit. Tight quarters so make a reservation.“

They also have a delicious cheddar cheese that they pour over there hamburgers. The house salad with the house dressing is always a winner. Lettuce, egg, little shrimp, with the house dressing! I always loved the crab Melt aways! you cannot make a reservation, there is always a wait for dinner. get there at 11:30 for lunch, it fills up fast! Lunch specials come with a soup or a salad. “Delicious food and phenomenal service!! We came for a birthday dinner but the event space for weddings also looked beautiful. The staff were professional, warm and thoughtful. The food was excellent - highly recommend the meatball appetizer, calamari and chicken wings. I needed to feed my baby during our dinner visit and the staff was so incredibly accommodating, allowing me to use the bridal suite to feed my daughter. The absolute best experience I’ve had to date being out with my baby and needing to feed her. Will definitely be going back for a multitude of reasons: food, atmosphere and amazing staff!“

“We brought our family there who were visiting for the weekend, 10 adults and 2 babies. Sean answered our call when we asked if they could accommodate us all and he then greeted us when we got there. He was very welcoming and nice, Our service was great. I did not catch our waitresses name but she is a younger girl and was amazing. She was beyond friendly and attentive. We all got different foods. The special, butternut squash soup was a huge hit at our table. Everyone loved their dinner as well ( chicken franchise, lasagna, short ribs to name a few) and my leftovers were just as good the next day. We certainly plan to go back. Thank you to the staff there for a great family dinner.Kid-friendliness: Our waitress reviewed all of the kids menu options with us and both our waitress and Sean checked on the two little ones while we were dining.“

“Came here for a bingo event. The bingo event was a lot of fun. It was a great time. This place is deceiving from the outside. But it is cute on the inside. The food was good although the portions were small. It is reasonably priced as well. Nice small bar that gets pretty busy. The bottomless mimosas were also really good.“
“Boyle's is an enduring neighborhood bar that has been in business for decades. It's unassuming and sits in the middle of a quiet residential neighborhood. Don't let that deter you from visiting. The drinks are very good and the staff is consistently friendly and accommodating.“

“When I want that home-cooked Italian heartyness, I think of Rellas. Rellas is an absolutely SOLID Italian spot. The menu is small, but if you want classic italian dishes, it's just right. Food is always on point. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, especially in the bar area. Parking is never an issue. Rellas makes the decision easy.“

“Tonight was my first time dining here, definitely won’t be the last. Amazing food and atmosphere, topped off with incredible service. Nick was our server and he was the best! Never made us feel rushed, helped me narrow down my choices (because I wanted everything), and timed out our courses perfectly. The cherry cheesecake…. Omg… spiritual! ? I loved it so much I had to order a second piece to bring home. We ended the night chatting with Nick and he had nothing but great things to say about the owners and how great they are to work for which just added to it feeling like a special place. 10/10.“

“Awesome place, nothing else like it at the shore, or in New Jersey. I use to be a manager at this bar years ago before COVID. Had a blast working there. Scott is a phenomenal owner, and it was nice to hear from some folks who told me they stopped by and said Lola's is still doing smoked bourbons and gelato. Thanks Scott, hope all is well!“

“Barside service is great, dining room decent. Food is sometimes amazing, sometimes mediocre. Fried chicken tends to be on the dry side. The atmosphere is average, nothing crazy but nothing horrible either. All in all great place that could use a bit of fine tuning. Highly recommend their pulled brisket sub.Vegetarian options: Full vegan optionsKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Full accessability.Dietary restrictions: Kosher, also halal.“
“Friendliest bar in Monmouth County. Focus is on the genuine, rather than the pretty. If you care about the décor, go elsewhere. If you care about non-pretentious, friendly folks, and cheap drinks, and good, down-to-earth food, this place is tough to beat.“

“The food was amazing & the price was right. The only disappointment was we were presented with guacamole & chips. We thought that was the equivalent of bread & butter at other restaurants. Then the bill came & we were charged $12.95. I'm very disappointed we were charged for something we did not order.“

“Jean, our server was pleasant, high energy, fast, quick witted, most attentive and will become your best friend as soon as you meet her. Food and cocktails were outstanding !! Live music by Andy Russo was a pleasant surprise - playing all of our favorite Bruce songs with a special guest joining him playing Stevie Nicks Landslide! Mr C’s was one of the most pleasant dining experiences we’ve had since we’ve moved to Asbury park. This dining experience will not disappoint! We will be back in the near future and cannot wait to be back here in the summer and go up to the sunset deck!“

“They charge you on soda refills which was $3.50 a pop. It should be noted they charge for refills. I didn't see any notation on the menu. I may have missed it, but next time I'll order only one. It is BYOB place. I wonder if I can bring a soda??“

“Definitely the place to be during the holiday of Christmas. Spectacularly decorated to celebrate the season. This is a great location for evening drinks and conversation in the bar area on a Friday night. The vibe is young professionals who aren’t loud and obnoxious like at Shipwreck Grill where it feels like the locals are marooned and need to be heard to be saved from their daily lives. The decor is simple elegance. Not extravagantly modern like Jean George or Nicholas in its former self.I haven’t tried the food for dinner. This was just a trip to have late night drinks and I was not disappointed. I sampled the calamari because if a restaurant can cook calamari perfectly then more than likely, the rest of the menu will not be a disappointment. The calamari was tender and crispy with shishito peppers. Not the same quantity given at La Modina but sufficient for the price.I had the Bone Chili-er cocktail served shaken in a martini glass. I like my drinks not watered down with ice to taste the full flavor. This drink reminded me of the perfect margarita with a hint of heat. A definite favorite whenever I’m in the mood for tequila. The dining menu look promising so I will be back to sample.Back again on another Friday night at 5pm. Reservations were not to be had for main dining room but there were a few high top table seating available next to the bar.I had a Grey Goose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. I can attest that these olives do not taste like any jarred or ones you would find at shop rite. I may be wrong but the blue cheese was fresh and tasted as if a staff person hand piped the blue cheese. It’s amazing and there’s a difference. It’s the details that matters. My wife had a gin and tonic and the rocks glass was about twice the size that you would typically see elsewhere and for the same price. Wow.The app of pita with whipped feta, honey and mint was amazing. Normally it comes with pistachios but my wife was allergic. Simple but yet so wonderful. I plan on replicating this dish at home. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.My wife and daughter had the seafood tower and it was enough for 3. No regrets. The lump crab was amazingly fresh and vibrant. So much better than the canned version. The king crab legs were surprisingly large for their size than what you would see at Costo. The shrimp were extra jumbo if that even exists because they were huge. The west coast oysters were robust and so much better than the east coast version.I had the Halibut with Parmesan Basil Risotto. Perfection at its finest. The halibut was flaky and tender. You won’t find a better preparation unless you are at Le Bernardin. It’s that good. The risotto was a perfect complement for a dish of $42 which was well worth the asking price. Our server, Steve was amazingly knowledgeable from the diff types of gin and their flavors to the selection of oysters.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and this place has become a favorite spot for drinks or dinner. You won’t be disappointed.“

“This was an absolute hidden gem! We were trying to find something midway for our friends meeting us and decided to try it. What a pleasant surprise! Our waiter was super nice and provided great service. They even accommodated a special request of clams on the half shell, and they were great. Shrimp scampi over linguine was tasty and lobster ravioli was delicious and even came with half a lobster tail. Desserts were great too. Definitely will be back. Ambiance was a little dated, but it was clean including the bathrooms.“

“I am updating my latest review. We have since been to The Windward twice and both times have been markedly improved since over the summertime. Both times we were seated within a reasonable time. Waitress came to the table within a few minutes and was both attentive and treated us like family instead of aged customers.Drinks ordered and served immediately. Dinner ordered and served quickly. We both ordered hot open sandwiches which were served within 10-15 minutes. They were very tasty and we enjoyed every bite.“

“Great atmosphere and intimate venue for local and more well known artists, drinks are poured heavy while being reasonably priced and you'll find the crowd your looking for with the music you want. Saltys Beach Bar is really picking up the slack from the closure of the House of Independence and I couldn't be more happy about it. Rock “

“On an ordinary day, we go here for beers and a burger with cottage fries and always have the best time. I have to mention this weekend specifically though because we had our wedding after party here. The owner, Kevin, is truly one of the nicest people and always provides service with a genuine smile. He is courteous and made all of our family and friends feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our evening. Even in the busiest moments, Kevin and staff managed to be accommodating and attentive. Cannot say enough enough about this place, the family and the staff. Wonderful!“

“Great variety of good food. Nice atmosphere. Seated very timely on an extremely busy night, live music - packed.... music is always way too loud! When will band members ever figure that out! We are all not that hearing impaired..... you can't even have conversations, very happy to be seated outside.“
