“Went with a friend to Hook and Reel and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious and VERY affordable. I had such a great time I returned the following day. I have to say what made the visit great for me was the staff and service. Our servers Richard and Taylor made us feel at home. The manager Sarah came out to greet us on our second visit. She was very sweet and down to earth. I highly recommend giving Hook and Reel a visit. ??“

“Really interesting cuisine and experience. Cute and small joint serving Cajun Korean food with a lot of variety and inventiveness. The jambalaya was great with a lot of flavor and kick. The softshell crab sandwich I had was phenomenal -- just the right texture of fried crab and toppings with some pickled vegetables. Service was really kind and efficient.“

“I really enjoyed my evening out at this joint. The food was on point; well seasoned and expertly prepared. The staff exuded warmth and were very attentive. And a nice vibe and feel to the place. The only minor issue was (a) the seating is a bit tight and (b) it was a bit noisy. I would have given 4 1/2 stars instead of 4 but that's not an available option. I unreservedly recommend! And if you fail to try their grilled oysters...well, that will be your eternal loss LOL.“

“First time there yesterday..the place is beautiful. The food was OK. Our waiter Jonathan C was awesome!! The blue crab doesn’t need the powdered sugar on top. The alligator bites batter was too salty and the cornbread was on the dry side….half a loaf is only 2 small slices for $8…not cool. And last but not least, the bread pudding should have been warm and the caramel sauce taste burnt. I will still give it a 8 out of 10 rating.“

“Honestly, I used to think this place was the bomb. But for those who have never tried Umi Hotpot Sushi and Seafood Buffet, you should. There are different locations of Umi and for about $40 per person there are a variety of seafood options along with other kinds of food. There was a brand new opening of Umi on Staten Island a few weeks ago. Its address is 1001 Goethals Road N. There are fresh oysters, clams, drunken crawfish and regular crawfish, stone crabs, snow crab legs, sushi, lobsters, clams, variety of small dishes, and so much more. It's just not worth the $80 anymore for the crabhouse. A lot of the seafood at the crabhouse is cooked in very heavy sauces and there's just not enough variety of food. $80 is not cheap, when it used to be $55 after the pandemic lockdown. I used to go to the Manhattan location. There's also another Umi location in Sheepshead Bay. I've never been to that one before, but the one on Staten Island is bound to have the freshest food options since it just opened not long ago“

“Celebrated my son's 35th birthday here. The owner was wonderful, very friendly and made the bday celebration more special. We enjoyed the seafood boils, calamari, hush puppies, and fish and chips. Special sauce was delicious and if you like spicy don't worry that extra spicy is too hot. Highly recommend!“

“Aqua Boil is a hidden gem. I got the Crab Boil and the seasonings were tantalizing and food cook to perfection. The service was excellent. They were very attentive and the vibes were positive and upbeat. Definitely going back for a second visit.“

“Absolutely delicious and authentic Chinese food. I was invited to this restaurant by my Chinese boss and he ordered most of the food. I was blown away by just about everything we ordered as I have never heard of most of these dishes. They were all amazing, with the exception of stinky tofu. If you’ve never had it before, you probably shouldn’t risk it as it’s a definite acquired taste. I will be back here to explore more dishes“

“We got there around 945 right before the kitchen closed, we ordered fast and got the lobster, soft shell crab basket , king crab, Mac n cheese and garlic bread, Cajun fries , mussels, ordered all rhe seafood with the boil sauce which is a mix of all of them definitely go with that and don’t need to order extra sauce, came with potatoes and corn, the drinks were that great but the service was fast, it was super busy, classic seafood/cajun vibe“

“Stopped in 1803 for lunch while I was downtown. The staff was friendly and super helpful.I ordered the Catfish Sandwich that came with friends. The Catfish was flavorful with their house chili sauce. I wish the bread wasn’t so thick for the amount of meat.Interested in trying some of the other options on the menu, but overall had a good experience.“

“Finally a great fish market in our area, where you can get sushi grade fish, local catch and great shellfish. love the fish monger and coming from one of the biggest fishing ports in italy I know that’s a tough job and it takes a lot of work and dedication to offer a decent variety of fresh fish.My fluke was extremely fresh and perfect for a carpaccio/sashimi, mussels were also great and so it was the fillet of monkfish.Keep up the good work!!!thanks!!!“

“A lovely dinner Hubby and my Son , Ryan and his beautiful wife Emily at his new Restaurant “Canary Club” the food was amazing , wonderful service it felt like the chef was giving us our own personal tasting ! Every dish was delicious and always with great presentation. Such a cozy and eclectic spot with a New Orleans flair ! “Had a super great time. My Waitress Abby was absolutely fantastic ?. Tentive, always checking on our table. The atmosphere was wonderful, I love freestyle music, walked in to Judy Torres song , The food was spectacular. I have to mention we didn't realize we when paid cash gave Abby an Extra 100 dollars and she came back and brought to us told us of the extra money. That meant so much to us. Abby Rocks. “As we were greeted as soon as we came in by a very lovely lady at the front counter, we were immediately seated with the waiter, coming out very promptly and taking care of every knee. As soon as something was finished it was removed as soon as you needed something they were right there some of the best service I’ve ever had in my life. It’s hard to find and the food is absolutely amazing. Is one of the best nights I’ve had out at dinner and well over a year year.“

“My fav Cajun Seafood spot !!I’ve been here many times and never once has it disappointed me. The seafood is fresh, large portions and very delicious! Absolutely love the decor and the staff is friendly. Plenty of room to gather with friends and family and also watch a sports event on the large screen.“

“pricy, friendly staff, fast take out, had #14 TIGER ROLL, very good, excellent fresh fish but NO CRUNCH on top as advertised which is what makes this particular roll taste better. “I love this spot so so so so so much! We order nearly every weekend for takeout delivered to us. I love their Oolong milk tea, Strawberry slush and Passion Fruit Tea. Their lychee slush is not too sweet, just right for those who prefers lighter tastes. Their seafood boil is flavorful and fresh! I love the Garlic Butter sauce, but would love to try their other sauce too. Their fried lobster ball is literally a ball of lobster meat!!! So delicious! Almost every weekend, I would always order drinks from them. I have tried Oolong milk tea from many places, but only this one will always be my favorite because it always tastes perfect.Sometimes, their website would have some kind of update and we wouldn't be able to order through online to get the drinks delivered. But whenever we call to ask if they deliver to our address, the staff would tell us that they can deliver. The problem on their website will always be quickly fixed so that we can enjoy their wonderful service again!This is one of the best locations. I highly recommend this place!“

“I was so excited to eat here - certainly my favorite movie and so it brought up some cool emotions about the film. We were seated quickly - even though it was such a busy time. Did not have to wait long before orders were taken. Exceeded expectations - being in the city and such a touristy area, I thought it might be a problem. Food was great and I'd gladly go again.“

“Had the catfish poboy at uptown night Market! They told me 15 minutes was done in 15 minutes. It was a large fried catfish filet and it was perfectly crispy. I think the tartar sauce may have needed a little more salt but overall great experience. Reminded me of Louisiana“

“Amazing food i love Haitian food , there soup jumou every Sunday and saturday morning is the best, it taste just like mammi would make it at home, it's spicy yet not over doing it,savory so you can taste the time it took to cook it ,plenty of fresh beef, squash , dumplings and macaroni to go oh lala over.They make it only on Sundays and Saturday. There customer service makes me proud to be Haitian ,the ladies there are not rude bizzy but not rude. It's a bar setting so limited to no seat's. Call ahead if you want or come inside and order usually 10 to 15 minutes wait time not long at all. The price are average good price 10 ,15 to 20 daller plates, depends what type of meat you order fish, goat and oxtail large plates are usually 20 dallers.“

“Overall this is a good spot to come after work or the weekend. Have gone here several times and each time was different experiences. Food is always good maybe a tad salty and drinks are always on point. Service is on the slower side but it seems to be food is made fresh. Only thing I don’t like is someone suggesting we give a tip and literally standing around and watching/waiting for it. (Don’t want to get into details on this post) Also don’t agree with staff coming up saying “I said hello but y’all wasn’t paying attention.” Otherwise, I love the music selection, karaoke night and pool table. Family is regulars so I’ll be back.“
