“I am a big sticker for fried food not being greasy and this was the first time I have ever been to this restaurant. The chicken came out HOT which is extremely important and had just the right seasoning. When I didn't see greasy chicken or the paper inside greasy I tried one and before I knew it I had eaten five wings waiting for the rest of my food. And I bought 12 pieces to take home and share. Also try the bean pie OMG I literally ate the entire thing. I purchased the small one. I don't usually eat the crust but it was so delicious.“

Several dishes stood out, especially the scallop course, which was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. The duck dish was another highlight—rich, tender, and beautifully balanced. It’s also BYOB, and they offer some excellent non-alcoholic drink options that pair nicely with the meal.

Dessert was the perfect ending, with a bright lemon cake and a decadent chocolate dish that were both outstanding.

“My wife and I have been patrons and huge fans of Chez Catherine for nearly 30 years. Last Friday, we happily celebrated our 39th anniversary there with another very fine lunch. It's always a pleasure to be greeted like old friends by owner Stephane Bocket and seated at what we think is the best table in the tastefully decorated, elegant restaurant. We both chose the prix fixe menu. For starters, my wife had the always terrific moules and I a lovely mixed salad. We both chose beef bourguignons for our main course and asked Stephane to suggest wine from the by-the-glass list. His selections of a chablis for my wife and pinot noir for me worked perfectly with the outstanding bourguignons. We finished by sharing a delicious Baba au Rhum, prepared by Stephane at tableside. Dining at Chez Catherine is always a special event to us. Everything about it is first class. If you are unfamiliar with Chez Catherine, it has been one of New Jersey's Top 5 restaurants for nearly 40 years. “I took my dad here for lunch and had an incredible time! Jeerapan, the manager, was our host and server. He was gracious, kind, and make wonderful recommendations. We had chicken dumplings as appetizers, two tasty entrees, and a mango sticky rice dessert that was perfect for summer. The Thai iced teas are a must when ordering anything with spice.
