The Northern Italian menu which changes to focus on only the freshest ingredients has a little Swiss influence and is presented with an artistic touch and personal care. Last evening I hosted sixteen business associates in the back room which has an iron gate for privacy. Filippo presented a five course meal which blew everyone away followed by him playing a few songs on the Piano. The Chicken or Cod dishes were pan seared to perfection. daFilippo's is a BYOB restaurant which I Love. My wife remarked how clean the restrooms are kept. Plenty of parking in the rear of the building. In closing, if you are looking for a family owned, unique restaurant where the owner chef touches every plate to ensure perfection then this is the place to make a reservation.“

“Moved to the neighbourhood a couple of weeks back and were looking for a nice place to eat... we found Girasole within walking distance and it exceeded our expectations. The staff were attentive yet not overebearing and the food was delicious. “When we decided to make a reservation here I was concerned because the parking situation in Madison is difficult. IlGoccino has parking in the rear of the restaurant so it was fine. The staff were warm and welcoming and they honored our reservation on arrival. The food was excellent - the salmon cooked to perfection and the chicken was tender and delicious as well. It's dimly lit inside which made reading the menu a bit challenging. However, everything we did order made up for it! I highly recommend the Frittura di Calamari for an appetizer. The following dishes we ordered were spectacular! Rigatoni alla Vodka, Penne alla Grotta, Gnocchi Alessandra, Norwegian Salmon (special), Penne al Forno, Spaghetti alla Carbonara and the Pollo alla Francese! It is a BYOB establishment, luckily there is a wine and spirits store next door. My family will definitely be returning to this beautiful gem in the heart of Somerville!“

“Luna Rossa is an exceptional restaurant which is run by a loyal and dedicated team under the direction of Adrian. Our first time visiting this establishment was with a party of 10. Adrian took all of our orders including appetizers without writing anything down. The food was delivered to perfection. I am astounded by the diversity of the menu, the ability to switch out sides, the quality and taste of the food. The chefs are talented and cook to delight every palate. “We were there for my daughters birthday this past Saturday. My wife and my daughter's boyfriend had the seared salmon which they loved. My daughter had the chicken parm, which she said was good. Her only "complaint" was that the sauce was a bit too sweet for her taste, but the portion was good and the chicken was cooked well. My son enjoyed his pepperoni pizza. He's not very adventerous. I had the Capellini Napoletani. It was very good. The capellini was cooked perfectly for my taste as was the shrimp, clams and calamari. Very tender. The sauce was great. This is our go-to for great food and is my wife's favorite. She is returning with coworkers for lunch on Tuesday. Service is top notch. Keep up the good work. We'll definately be returning.“

“my review is for the amazing pepperoni slice I just grabbed for lunch. it had a crispy, thin crust with no flop. the sauce was a nice balance of sweet and tangy. the cheese was not excessive, and the pepperoni wasn’t too greasy. I added pepper flakes and oregano because that’s how I like my pizza, but it would be perfectly delicious without it.“

Also, the fried calamari uses a very light batter, so it's not too heavy.We've ordered trays from them twice for parties and we weren't disappointed in the quantity provided and they were affordable.“

Dakota was not only friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, but also incredibly mindful of our time. He ensured our service was prompt and timed perfectly. Drinks, appetizers, entrees—everything came out perfectly timed and piping hot. His attention to detail and professionalism really made all the difference.
The food was phenomenal. The burger was out of this world! It was juicy and tasted so fresh I highly recommend. Also, the drinks were pristine.

“I’m visiting family in the area & after leaving the gym, I did a google search & this popped up. I read thru the reviews & decided to give it a try. I ordered “The Dom” & omggg, watching the gentleman make it, I was flabbergasted
seeing the mountain of meats & cheese. This is no ordinary subway type of sandwich. Before writing this review, I had to try it & it did not disappoint…AT ALL!!! (Macaroni salad was good too) The only downside would be I can’t share it w/my family member b/c her teeth are not good & although I liked the crispiness of the bread, I should have asked for a softer roll. I’m not complaining though, it was perfect for me! I’d say I’ll be back tomorrow to try something else but I’ll be eating this for the next couple days. 😁
