The only thing we didn't like was the boardwalk pizza- zero flavor so that was a little disappointing. “daFilippo's is a hidden gem of a restaurant that has been my family's special occasion standard for many year's. The Northern Italian menu which changes to focus on only the freshest ingredients has a little Swiss influence and is presented with an artistic touch and personal care. Last evening I hosted sixteen business associates in the back room which has an iron gate for privacy. Filippo presented a five course meal which blew everyone away followed by him playing a few songs on the Piano. The Chicken or Cod dishes were pan seared to perfection. daFilippo's is a BYOB restaurant which I Love. My wife remarked how clean the restrooms are kept. Plenty of parking in the rear of the building. In closing, if you are looking for a family owned, unique restaurant where the owner chef touches every plate to ensure perfection then this is the place to make a reservation.“

“When we decided to make a reservation here I was concerned because the parking situation in Madison is difficult. IlGoccino has parking in the rear of the restaurant so it was fine. The staff were warm and welcoming and they honored our reservation on arrival. The food was excellent - the salmon cooked to perfection and the chicken was tender and delicious as well. “We've dined at il Forno numerous times and have loved every meal. Portions are large and delicious, and you are never rushed.

Last weekend, we had the il Forno pizza truck for our son's rehearsal dinner and it was outstanding! They served a variety of delicious pizzas and just kept them coming for 2 hours. Service was perfect, there were many compliments from guests, and no one left hungry!

You can usually tell if a place is great from the very first bite, and everything tasted incredibly fresh, creamy, and simply divine. I was amazed that everything we tried was exceptional. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli, perfect for the season! The owner was so friendly and, after overhearing how much we enjoyed the cheese with figs and prosciutto, he brought us an extra plate on the house. He also treated us to berries and cream, the ravioli special and even a glass of limoncello. It's been a long time, if ever, since I've experienced such excellent customer service. You can tell the chef is always consistent, he truly cares about his craft. It's one of the better NY/NJ style pizzas in the area without being too specialized.Their pasta and meat menu items are where they are best - looking at you Chicken Puicinella and Cavatelli with Broccoli.For appetizers, they have great wings which are crispy, the way I like them. “There are a lot of Italian restaurants in the Heights but Anthony doesn’t disappoint despite a small storefront. It is mostly takeout but there are couple tables out front if the weather is nice. My favorites are the chicken parm and porcini chicken. Both are outstanding dishes and the portions are pretty massive.“

Adrian took all of our orders including appetizers without writing anything down. The food was delivered to perfection. “Ordered an eggplant rollatini app and my companion had liguini with clams. Both dishes were delicious. The eggplant app was more than enough for lunch with warm bread and a glass of chianti. The linguini included a salad and there was enough to take home leftover. Both were classic dishes, executed beautifully, hitting all the right notes. the marinara was perfect! Service was friendly and attentive, great ambience in what was formerly a train station. Recommend!“
