“We stumbled across this place yesterday, we dipped in from the cold for a break and had a pleasant surprise, the staff were so welcoming and made sure we got a seat at the bar... later realised I had read about the bar previously, the hot dogs are a lovely touch and drinks amazing prices. x“

“Friendly staff and bartender. Good drink selection. I don’t even like bars or drinking but this place was cozy. The food was surprisingly really good given that it’s a bar. I got the burger which was juicy and the fries were crispy and hot; chicken bacon sandwich which was amazing. They also did a bingo night which was fun.“

“Great local Irish bar. I was staying a week at a nearby hotel and this place had the exact Irish bar feel I needed. I instantly felt like a regular they were glad to see, coming and going. Proper for an Irish place. Good pours on the beers. I was here for the first 2016 Presidential Debates and there was a lot of opinions, but in true NYC style, nobody got bent, no matter how much of a (&%$g idiot the other person was.“

“I used to live in the area and it took me 7 years to be back at Dingbatz, it's a small venue and sometimes you can't even move around but it is what it is. Sound, staff and service are great and don't forget to purchase some merch.“

“Great place for a quick bite after climbing.
It's your usual bar food, quite big portions. Free popcorn, and sometimes sour gummy.
Had the chicken cutlet burger. Slightly overcooked but still juicy and delicious.
The bartender is super friendly and helpful.“

“If I can remember, I always come here every friday night. Which is karaoke night. So, my review will be based on that specific night only.
Been there few times on friday night. Very busy night, very long line of karaoke, but the DJ did a veryyy good job. He remembers people's faces, like literally remember who requested what. His great memory amazed me and not to mention there is no pause or break. So, eventho its a long line of karaoke, but you will eventually singing.
Bartenders are great, drinks okay. Prices normal for the area, drink sometimes good, sometimes meh.
But yea, so far its been pretty amazing experience.“

“Could not believe there is a small town bar in the middle of Hoboken. Loved everything about it, from the bartender Daniel, who was not only professional, but friendly and fun to chat with, to the juke box you can play your music.

-2 stars for the bouncers: poor attitude, rude with the illusion that they have authority. It would be great if they can get real; ID reading barely makes them different that the rest of us - haha

“Absolutely the best place to go to Grab a drink after work , Have some Lunch, Watch the Game meet some amazing people, Phenomenal customer service and randomly go play some pinball in the back, while playing giant Connect four or Jenga. even eat or drink outside. great environment, my favorite go to bar and I live in The Bronx. Great Drinks, Great Food, Great Staff what more could you ask for.“
“Definitely a fun bar to hang out in and the staff was very personable. The drinks were decently priced and there were plenty of places to sit and space out between groups. The only drawback is the overly loud music at some points which can make conversation difficult.“

“I had a wonderful New Years celebration this Wednesday/Thursday at Julius’ thanks to Helen and her wonderful staff!
Drink were great and very reasonably priced. Cash-only! But there is an ATM in the back (and more seating!).

“A great, cozy neighborhood bar. No frills, no food but they let you take in outside food and there's no shortage of options nearby. Usually a mix of folks of varied ages. I've gone in several times over the years and there are always nice staff working behind the bar. A handy spot to stop in for a pint when you get off the train at Roosevelt Ave and nature calls 😂“

“From the minute Ai walked in and was welcomed by the crew I knew I would like the restaurant. The food was fantastic. I ordered the fish from yeh special menu, we ordered other food from the regular menu. Every dish was par excellence. The service was second to none. “I must say I don't write much reviews on bars and the such but this one here my goodness I just had to because of the exceptional service and good natured and hospitable nature of the Bartender there by the name of Brian. He made such an impression to his golden smile, his positive down-to-earth demeanor, his outstanding communication made you feel like he was not only your server/bartender but also your best friend, your therapist, and a loving Father/ and or brother relative however. Brian puts the cozy in the Cozy Tavern with his exceptional sevice and warm gentle personality that would make any atmosphere feel cozy and make anyone feel at home. All to cheers to Brian ?“
