“First of all, it is cute and cozy, but not dark or cramped. It's a house that has been converted to a restaurant. First of all they have complimentary valet, so bring a few bucks to tip! The service is upscale, think fine dining light, i.e. give you fresh utensils each course, crumb your table, friendly but subdued.

If you like cocktails, try one of their cocktails, they're really beautifully balanced, well done! I had the over the hill. I would have another one no hesitation.
The courses are generous without being overwhelming.
I really liked what I had. The intros were good, but the pasta was the best. I love that they do the pasta truly al dente. If you like mushy pasta, that is not what you're gonna get here. I got the mushroom ragu with callabresselli pasta, one, two it includes hen of the woods mushroom. I haven't seen usually foraged mushrooms on a restaurant dish in a long time.So if you're into that, you should try it.
Delicious rich, yet not heavy.

“Another new place tonight. Got delivery from grub hub. Got a Spinach & Cheese Roll which was filled with spinach and cheese made fresh. Some pepperoni chips which was pretty interesting. Beef, Chicken & Bacon Empanada which to me was a plain chicken empanada but was still good. Got a Vegetable Stromboli as well. Was packed with vegetables. Stromboli was a bit soggy but still was pretty good. Would definitely go again.“

My gf got the “Toni Ann” and she couldn’t talk while we were eating together because she wouldn’t stop stuffing her face. After she said the chicken cutlet was cooked perfect, mozzarella was fresh, peppers were exquisite. Overall experience was just mind-blowing. I’d recommend Ferraro’s to any person, local or travelers, you NEED to stop and eat here.“

I can’t thank Sergio enough for the personal tasting, a chef kitchen table unbelievable!
The menu was right on point, orzo was addictive. The eggplant balls I never even knew it was a thing, now I can’t wait to come and get a dozen with a big container of sauce! The ricotta and mozzarella were delicious, perfect with the meatballs and eggplant. The penne with vodka sauce oh my goodness, I wish my son was there too, It’s his favorite.
The look on Santi’s face when he was eating the filet and then the shrimp biggest smile he had all night. The artichoke and veggies so delicious! Both of the chicken dishes looked so good. I was almost tempted and you know Sabrina and I are both vegetarian, but I think she actually took a bite!
Not sure if you saw us, but with each plate, it was an oh my goodness you have to taste!

“My friend and I are always looking for new restaurants to try and keep a log of places we see on Facebook or Instagram. Casa Nostra was next on our list to try and we were not disappointed.
The place is small and cozy, we called to see if we could get a reservation since it was a Saturday evening, they were able to accommodate us at 7:30. When we arrived we did not have to wait to be seated, the table was ready. The server provided us with menus and asked if we needed our bottle of wine to be opened. Server came back with bread for us and apologized that they were unable to warm it, explained and apologized that they were having issues with the bread warmer. The bread was fine as it was. The owner (chef) came out to take our orders we ordered the special fig appetizer to share, the portion was certainly large enough for 2 people and was very good. For entrees we had the Shrimp Risotto and Lobster Ravioli both were extremely good and nice sized portions. We were too full for dessert. One nice thing about this restaurant was that they did not rush you - there was adequate time between receiving the appetizer and entree which I thoroughly enjoyed as many times the entrees come out way too close to the appetizers. I will definitely be returning again.“

That being said… A huge shout-out to Arca in Lincoln Park. We were supposed to spend Thanksgiving at my brother’s house, but our daughter was unexpectedly hospitalized the night before Thanksgiving. Arca was hosting a free Veterans Thanksgiving event that was dine-in only (my husband is a vet) but they were kind enough to prepare a free to-go meal for us so we could enjoy Thanksgiving lunch with our daughter at the hospital since we couldn’t be with extended family. Everything was incredible. If you can, please visit and support this amazing restaurant. My family and I definitely will, and our district’s PTA will be there next week for our holiday social. “Stopped by at the recommendation of a friend. Restaurant is in a strip mall so plenty of parking. Restaurant was hard to find at night being their sign was not lite. Small place with a small bar in which I sat at for the evening. The owner Julio took care of me. I ordered a white sangria to begin the evening and the owner made it Perfectly. For entree, I ordered the Chef Giambot which is a mixture of filet tips, chicken; sausages, onions and peppers and homemade flat french fries. Dish could of had more seasoning but overall was good and plentiful. I had to take leftovers. This dish has heat to it being it has hot peppers in the mix. I will probably be back to try several of their traditional authentic Italian entrees.“
