“Our first time here. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was great. The service needed a little help. After we were served dinner it went down hill. They needed one more person on the floor and they would have been good. We will be back.“

“First time there for myself. My wife had been there recently for lunch. OMG, amazing. We started with their homemade, warm Pita with Babaganush (sp?). Awesome. I had their Arugala salad, which I like wherever I go. This was amazing as well. Then we had our entrees. None of us could finish our meals, they were so plentiful and delicious. We each took home doggy bags. We told them we couldn’t possibly eat desserts so we ordered some to go. They then brought out hot Turkish teas for us AND a plate of a custard for us to share. Delicious!!! WOW! This place jumped right up near the top of our list for favorite restaurants. We will definitely be back.“

The Georgian appetizers were all hits (especially the fried mushroom salad, beetroot hummus, and imeruli), and the service was diligent and warm. “The most amazing and delicious Turkish Breakfast I ever had. Not only in New Jersey area. I’ve tried lots of places in the Tri-State area and it’s definitely 5 Stars. Everything is homemade. There’s a lot of food when you order Turkish Breakfast. The cheese on the platter is very rich. Definitely try the Turkish eggy toast. It’s absolutely so yummy. It’s only on Sundays 10:00am-2:00pm. The atmosphere is fantastic. Especially for any kind of showers or parties. I’ve found out they have 2 more locations in Cliffside Park,NJ & Livingston,NJ as well. The owner is super nice and he welcomes and is so polite to customers. The prices are very reasonable. They have a huge parking lot. Handicapped customers are welcome to restrooms and parking lot.“

The service was alright but I only interacted with one employee who after I told her my name still chose to say it wrong to be funny. “I cannot recommend this venue enough! The room was absolutely beautiful, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, the team was incredibly accommodating and attentive to every detail. They went above and beyond to help bring my vision to life, including customizing the napkin colors to match my baby shower theme, adjusting the icing color for my cake, and arranging the room exactly how I wanted it.

They were also very flexible with both setup and cleanup times, which made the entire planning process so much less stressful. The service throughout the event was exceptional—every staff member was attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly. There was plenty of space to have tables for gifts, desserts, favors, raffle/games, and food.

The food was outstanding and one of the highlights of the day. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was, and it was such a thoughtful touch that they allowed guests to take leftovers home.

From the wait staff to the kitchen staff to management, everyone was incredibly friendly, unbelievably accommodating when it came to food allergies (they came out to talk about everything in specific detail to make sure it was safe before it was cooked and served), and the food was absolutely delicious!! I would absolutely recommend trying Marakesh out if you haven't been. They will be more than happy to go over the menu and explain anything you might not recognize or need changed because of restrictions. You can also call ahead so it can be prepped ahead of time for you. I will definitely be back again!!“
