I’m just so glad my first time was with Karnival Foods!! Chef was amazing, kind & generous. The wings, OMG!!! I was tempted to keep them all for myself. And the desserts, wow, hopefully it's your cheat day, between the toppings for the waffles or funnel cakes, ice cream, water ice. And the best part is it's very affordable. Eat inside or outside. “Pasta making class Olivia was excellent. She understands the regions of Italy and was able to prep and explain with ease and grace. A participant asked about cacio e pepe, which was not on the agenda, and Olivia quickly prepared the basic but difficult to nail sauce. It was spot on. Would def recommend HBB to friends and family. One suggestion though - supplying guests with aprons would be helpful!“

“Really nice small local ice cream shop with about 12 flavors to choose from. The ice cream is flavorful and creamy and the price is fair for the amount you get. Limited seating inside and unfortunately no seating outside, probably because of the neighborhood.

“While the prices are high and the lines are long, it is worth it. The flavors were rich, the texture was dence and the portions were large. Particularly the sour cherry was my favorite by far. The contrast of sour and sweet worked really well. The waffles cone added a great texture and they can even make it vegan too.

The staff was super friendly and had tones of energy which is more than I could say for myself if I was taking care of so many people all fay long. The line when we went wasn't too bad since it was late on a weekday.“

The swirl soft serve with rainbow jimmies was so worth it. Not only was it truly yummy but the ice cream never melted like they do at the other shops. Not sure of the machine they decided to invest in but my cone maintained its shape to the very end.

“Yesterday was my first visit there. First, there was a sign indicating an invitation to use their back patio. I didn't know which way to access the patio so naturally I walked around to the other (wrong) side of the building searching for the back patio. I was met by two locked doors. I then walked down the path then around the front of the store and then I went in the other direction.... kept going... looking for the patio and found it in the back of the building where I placed my order. I was disappointed that there was no sugar-free ice cream but they had a vast array of cones. Then, I had to walk to another window to pick up my ice cream cone. The ice cream was really, really good though the prices were steep yet they asked for a tip in addition to the steep prices. Even with that, however, I will return. I was impressed that they were open in the middle of a rainy, cloudy Sunday afternoon. Their serving the ice cream cone in a little container was a cute addition.“

“I dont have a lot of experience with dairy queen but ive been to this one a few times and always have had a good experience.This time i went in for my birthday blizzard and the app was being stupid and not giving me the correct coupon code. We had Lilly making our blizzards and she was very patient while i wrestled with the app and helped me be able to get my birthday blizzard.Thanks Lilly! I have tried water ice, hand dipped ice cream, soft serve ice cream, pretzels, hot sausage.

The ice cream and water ice are served cold, its not melting all over the place when you get it, the pretzels were warm and soft , the hot sausages were very good!

Sometimes there is a line at the windows, it moves quickly!

You get a good sized portion for the price
They have sizes from small all the way up to quart

A couple months back, I wanted to try something different and go someplace I'd never tried before. So, good old Google found me a place, less than a mile away, which I never knew existed! I jumped in the car, drove down, and (long story short), I was blown away! I will ALWAYS choose a small local business over a corporate owned or franchised operation any day, and this wonderful couple not only serves delicious ice cream, incredible waffles, PLUS extremely delicious homemade waffle cones and bowls, but they also serve up love and hospitality! This is MY go-to place now, MY neighbors, and a part of MY extended family of sole proprietors! I am so glad I wanted something different that night! I sure got more than I asked for! “I tried this ice cream place with my 5 year old little boy tonight for the first time ever and was excited! My son enjoyed his ice cream, but I was sadly disappointed with having ordered the hot fudge sunday only to receive vanilla soft serve with chocolate syrup and NOT actual HOT FUDGE, which I was expecting on a $6 hot fudge Sunday. 😞. If I wanted chocolate syrup over soft serve, I would have ordered that. I had an infant with me as well and that's WHY I didn't walk all the way back up from my car with two young kids to see if it could be fixed. I'm not sure I will be returning or able to recommend this place to anyone else. I was surprised because I had seen good reviews on this business but for my first time to have this happen, that wasn't impressive or good at all. 👎☹️“

“Almost all of the flavors offered are wonderful. I love the rotating seasonal flavors and the fact that samples are offered so you can try things out. It is a bit pricey, but the ice cream is very high quality and many of the flavors are unique, so it is worth it. My favorite flavors are darkest chocolate and rainbow buttermilk frozen yogurt, both of which pair very well together!“
