“Perfect gem of a bagel place. Had a scrumptious everything bagel that was as flavorful as the first time experiencing one. Also bought muffins to take home, and aside from a cute box to house them in, found these to be made in house, crispy up top, and moist down below. No need to hire Newman to clean these, Elaine... Delectable from top to bottom. Prices were reasonable.“

“This place is a hidden gem! It so absolutely the best bakery in the area and where I love to get all my cakes. The customer service is above and beyond. All the workers including the manager were very helpful, informative and communicative. They helped make my husbands day special. I must say their cakes and macaroons are always delicious! Their flavors for the macaroons are potent and delicious, never stale, always on point. The cakes with their mousse and whipped cream and fruit are always fresh, flavorful, light and airy. Anytime I use a cake from them or get an individual dessert I always get compliments. The packaging is so easy to transport and for the quality it is amazing value, and they included the thin long candles and cutting utensil. Will be using them again! Highly recommended.“

“My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

“As most places in NYC, we stumbled upon this bakery. Once your eyes see it, I challenge you to not go into it. It’s a very colorful place and the person who served us was incredibly patient and friendly (I kept coming back to add to my order). The coffee was very, very good, my cortado was perfect.
We got a couple of pastries for the following day and the croissant (I’m French) was very good even after a day. It was filled with pistachio cream and the size was just right, the cream very nutty and not overly sweet and sickly. Shame we live so far away because I’d make it a regular.“

“The wait isn’t bad, the food is banging and cheap, don’t stand around in the line unless you know what you’re waiting for is the one tip I’ll give, people just stand around without seeing which line they’re in. You can walk right up to the counter if you’ve got cash. Get a few buns to go for later. The shu mai was ok seemed like it had been sitting a while.“
