“Walk off the streets of Chester and be transported south of the border! This quaint but vibrant "joint" provided rich and quality dishes of hearty proportions. Between the intensely intimate dining floor, the authentic music & decor, and the friendly service, Aztec Mexican in Chester, NJ, is an excellent lunch/dinner option for those who enjoy a flavor of South America and "hole-in-the-wall" styled dining. noteables: - reasonable pricing - BYOB“
“We ended up getting takeout tacos from here to bring across the street to Buttzville Brewery. It was pretty quick from when we ordered to when our food was ready to pick up our order. We got an order of steak street tacos, an order of chicken street tacos and guacamole. The tacos are quite small, but it was nice to get a couple different options to share to try multiple flavors. The tacos came with a green and a red sauce - both packed with flavor but the red one was SPICY in the best way and kept getting spicier after you swallowed. The guacamole was fantastic with lots of chunks of onion, cilantro and tomato. Truly a perfect sharable snack to bring to a brewery and share with a small group.“
“I was honestly a little nervous based on the reviews, but I know when it comes to Jersey, a restaurant can end up with a one star rating because it was raining in the parking lot. It was a great experience! Me and my boyfriend came in for our booritos, the chipotle app was unfortunately down but the sweet cashier was more than willing to honor it for us. As far as cleanliness goes, a fast food place packed with teenagers is bound to stir up some mess, but the staff were quick to clean up behind themselves and customers. Honestly a 10/10 experience, thank you to the spidermans who made our food and Girl who got us checked out :).“
“My favorite place around! Would eat here every day if I could. Kris uses the highest quality organic ingredients. All of their specials are always amazing, as is their regular menu, and they have the best baked goods I’ve ever had. They also do made to order cakes for special occasions, would highly recommend!“
“Blown away by the delicious food I purchased! Everything was fresh and homemade/authentic. The nachos never got soggy, stayed crispy and fresh for hours after. The taco plates we purchased were flavorful and top quality. I will definitely be back! Yum!“
“March 2024. We've been coming here for years. Really enjoy the authentic tacos. The fixings bar to add sauce, cilantro, onions, cactus, and so much more, allows you to customize the tacos to your taste. Personally I love Al Pastor and Placeros tacos. Service is friendly. They have staff that speak English, which helps us who speak little Spanish. But either way, their menu is written in English and Spanish.Parking is the only hardship. Have to drive around and find a spot.Parking: Drive around until you find parking, esp. on weekends.“
“This place has charm and the very welcoming lady and gentleman that might be the owners made it even better. The food was tasty and the prices were fair for the amount of food you get. Would totally come back. And their ají de árbol is delicious. Always a joy to try and support the local restaurants. Totally recommend.“
“I was super impressed by the steak fajitas. The steak that was prepared was excellent quality, cooked perfectly medium-rare as requested. I feel like usually lower-quality steak is used for fajitas at your typical LatAm restaurant, so I was pleasantly surprised when I received a high-quality steak that could’ve been it’s own entree as the meat for my fajita. The cocktails were also fantastic! We had a paloma, a batanga, and a mojito. And the service was perfect as well.“
“Best Authentic Honduran mostly and Mexican food around the area, the baleadas and pollos con tajadas ufff another level of greatness, the staff super friendly and the price is super affordable for being a foreign food type of restaurant… price ranges in between $10-$20 a plate max. Well recommended ??“
“I had the Chimichanga. It was excellent. The oil used to fry it was definitely fresh. Fried to perfection, golden color, and crispy. The owner was very nice. My only complaint would be that it would be nice if there was a small scoop of rice and beans in the container. I thought there was or I would have ordered a small side. I won't assume next time.“
