My favorite from my course was Gindara(miso cod) with pumpkin sauce which tasted like Japanese pumpkin and they matched so well, also the akami (tuna red meat) tasted super fresh! Every other fish were fresh and loved the way they prepared everything! Chefs were also very nice and fun to chat with!“

“I was having a sushi craving… and thought we would give Sushi Ocean a try. And it was so good!! We did take out, but went in to pick it up, it looked quaint and clean. Our food wasn’t quite ready, so the gal asked if we were waiting in our car and she would bring out to the car. Definitely a win for me as well as my kids. Will be going back again. The fish was fresh, and they were reasonably priced. Got a lot for our money!!“

“Been there 3 times to get takeout, so time to review. Short version: great food, nice staff, clean facility, and honestly a real bargain for what you get.

The food is always ready when I arrive. It's easy to get in and get out of The Fairway. The takeout bowls are hilariously overkill, you can use them to take your lunch to work they are so robust. No leaking in the takeout bag. The quality of the ingredients is very good. Never fishy, clean taste, good balance of textures in their dishes.

If you are reading this you are looking for a good place for sushi in the Abington/Jenkintown area. Down the shopping center is Whole Foods. Zushi's sushi is better, you get more, and it's better priced. Try it here instead, and support a local small business.

When Im close by I make sure to order take out sushi roll lunch. I like cooked sushi options so my order is 1 california, 1 shrimp tempura, and I select the salad. It is always tasty. I appreciate how they never forget the napkins /utensil /wasabi/soy sauce additions to the bag.“

“Was looking for an eel bowl, and found a spot that serves it based on other reviewers photos. They gave me two layers of eel, and it was great. I also had shrimp on the side. I'd go back again.

My only complaint is maybe they need to use table covers, or buff and resurface the tables as it has a sticky texture to it. I wished the exterior of the building was not your average Philly building, but more like a restaurant. Without the Mr.Sushi sign, I would not know it was there. The sign does look new and vibrant though, and caught my eye from down the street.“

“First off, let me just this was the best server/host I have had pleasure to meet in all my life. She seemed to be higher up in the ranks (her name is Susan maybe?), and she is a wonderful, honest woman and an overall pleasure to converse with. It is a very cozy, traditional style place in terms of aesthetics. The sushi is really delectable too, the fish is high quality. The desserts were delicious as well. Will be sure to come back soon!“

“I went on the first day, soft opening. The staff is very friendly and professional. The orders came pretty quick. The atmosphere was very nice and presented. Saw the chefs in the kitchen working non-stop, make made me appreciate more for the food. One more thing, this location has waiting area, better then other location, at least it has place to sit, especially when it’s cold out“

“Sakura was a staple takeout spot for us while we lived at Hyde Park Apartments. The food is always fresh, nicely presented, and above all delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. The chef was friendly, though he spoke very little English, which made communication a bit challenging. The whole experience lasted about an hour.

It’s no longer BYOB, but they do offer a variety of drinks. We tried the fruity sake flight, and it was a great choice—different flavors to sample, and it paired perfectly with the sushi. The interior is small and cozy, with charming Japanese décor. The only downside is the parking; it’s pretty tough. Fortunately, we managed to find a spot in a small alley about a block away.“

We have gone multiple times for hibachi and the service is great, atmosphere is fun, and they are accommodating of young children. Out son has more and more fun each time we go. “Been searching for good japanese restaurant for quite some time. Let me just say that Mikado far exceeded our expectations. From tge appetizers to dinner, it was exceptional. Our server, Michelle, was great. We had tge seared pepper tuna sushi app - so fresh and delicious. My husband had the hibachi with filet and lobster - amazing too. My son had the combo udon noodles - ate every bite! We had the tempura banana dessert - delicious as well as the chocolate mousse cake and coppa cafe. Amy at the front desk was so gracious and sweet. We will definitely be back many times. Give this place a try - you won’t be disappointed!!!“

“The food is clean and has flavor but most of the time it gets too you 10-20 minutes earlier than when they tell you and your veggies are not cooked all the way through. As you eat you are crunching away on all the veggies. You need to take the time and cook everything and not worry about the time it gets to the person that orders. All in all a nice/clean spot.“
