“Great neighborhood Portuguese restaurant. The place is small and sometimes there is a wait but it's worth the wait. The food is delicious and consistent. The sangria is great and a must-have with anything you order. The service on this particular day was slow, but the staff is young, so have some patience. Takeout is also very popular so you know the secret is out...this place has great food!“

“My second time visiting jollof & grill and I brought my friend with me. We were happily greeted upon entering and even got to meet the owner. She’s the sweetest person ever 🩷We ordered the beef suya combo and it was delicious. The jollof rice was flavorful. I love the raw onions and cabbage that comes with it. The beef suya was also cooked to perfection. The plantains were ripe and tasty as well. & Can we talk about portions? You get a lot of food for the price. I shared half w/ my grandma and she enjoyed her food as well. Will definitely be returning in the future!“

“If I could give Jersey Joe's 10 Stars out of 10 I would! They were so incredibly easy to work with, and the food was delish! I had some scheduling issues with my party, and had to move the start time a couple of times. They were so accommodating with the changes and very communicative. Then, on the day of the party, the staff was so courteous and detail oriented. Lastly, ever single person asked me who the caterers were because the food was so good. We did the luau buffet and everyone went for 2nds. I will definitely be calling them again for future catering needs!“

“Five stars well deserved from the service to the food. I found my new go to restaurant when traveling to Newark. My server Emilio was on point. He recommended the rib eye and man was it a great recommendation. Not only was the steak cooked just the way I like it, the flavor was great. WARNING!! Come with an appetite if you’re going to order the rib eye because that rib eye is HUGE!!! It was also more than reasonably priced. I can hardly wait to come back to Newark now that I know about Dayton Steakhouse.“

“My wife and I have been coming here for years and never had a bad experience until recently. The last two times we visited, the service and food quality were not the same. When I walked in and greeted the young gentleman at the counter, he didn’t respond — just gave me a sour look without saying a word. It left a bad impression.

Also, even though we picked up the food within 20 minutes like they said, it was cold and the fries were stale.

We’ve always enjoyed Estrela da Serra BBQ and hope this was just a rough patch. Hoping for a better experience next time.“

“We saw them pop up on uber I was excited I can't do much or get out there was t-bine special, rice and fries buy one get one. They called because part of our order they ran out of they were happy to accommodate even with the language barrier I don't speak Spanish. Cooked perfectly!!!! We like ours still mooing! “I have been wanting some great Jamaican food since I moved from NY in 2021. Thankfully I found this spot. I ordered the jerk pork, rice and peas, cabbage/carrot dinner, along with a large goat soup, festival and a Soursop drink. The pork is divine, well seasoned, juicy, tender and succulent, the rice and peas were flavorful and moist, the cabbage/carrots were very tasty too. The “goat” soup had 1 piece of goat inside but that not withstanding it was seasoned well. The Soursop drink was delicious a bit sweet but still very good. The festival was really good and a great match for soup. I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know and be coming back soon! Visit them today and don’t delay. There’s plenty parking“

“Best BBq for your buck, seasoning is on point. Only only bad thing is if your dining in, since there is no ac you will be very uncomfortable and sweat while you eat which no one wants. Foods amazing, staff is great, just too hot to dine in the summer. In the spring, fall, and winter it's chill just don't recommend eating there in the summer. Please go thought and get take out.

Parking: There's only a few, about 4 spots to park around the restaurant, if those are taken which usually are you must park blocks down the road.“
