“Honest review- during my sit down at restaurant the owners and guy at register were kind people -that always goes a long way!
Food: fresh, nicely battered chicken it didn’t seem that the oil was sitting there all day- super fresh not too salty or heavy meal. I also ordered no salt on fries -that was accommodated for. Best fried kitchen that I’ve tried in the Ny/NJ area and I like the Korean twist with the sauces you can ask them to put on side. This is the type of business that local community should support given the way they are not trying to overdo it n keep it tasty at same time.
I happened to be passing thru town and saw the reviews- it’s worthy to become a restaurant chain/franchise. And it’s good prices there is no reason not to try this place especially if you’re close by. Best of luck to your business!“

“So I’ve always heard about Dave’s but never been till today, first off the service I received was beyond exceptional Dylan M took my order not only did he service with a smile he took time to figure out what I like and suggested what I should get and he was right it did not disappoint I also received my order from Angel H who also provided me and my friend service with a smile he told us how to mix are sauce for the best flavor. When Mcdonalds and Wendy's are the fast food options you DONT want, this is the place to go. Coming here to get some great tasting fried chicken, a really good cheeseburger or a plethora of other items in the menu, they dont disappoint. They are open late and I've been going here for more than 5 years multiple times a month. In my opinion, going here is better than eating food from mcdonlds or wendys. The dark meat was succulent and tender, the breading was perfect, not hard or wasn't heavy, and the flavor with or without gravy was sooo tasty! Hubby was looking for something to eat and found Dominican Pica Pollo. Fried chicken with Dominican seasoning, it's so good.

I got the sandwich and hubby got chicken pieces. Have to say I prefer the chicken pieces. The chicken in the sandwich was a little overcooked so it was very dry, even though it is wonderfully seasoned.

Will go back for the chicken pieces yum.“

“We held our son’s 5th birthday party here, not only did we have a great time but I was SO impressed! Margaret was amazing to work with, she helped us book the party and order platters. We had two attendants dedicated to our party. They were absolutely incredible. I had nothing to worry about—they literally handled every single detail from the cow’s appearance to the bubble machine, the chalk board to food being set up and served to DECORATIONS and goody bags.

I admit that I forgot about the goody bags but they gave each child a small cow, coloring book and crayons, chocolate chip cookie and gift card for a free treat. They also have gift cards to all of the adults too. We are so grateful that they took such wonderful care of us.

“I’ve been to Don Chicken several times now, and it never disappoints. The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the flavors are always spot-on. I always order the rose tteokbokki too—it never gets old. The place is clean and cozy, and the staff are super friendly, which makes every visit a pleasure. Definitely one of my go-to spots!“

I took an order of garlic pork chops which were delicious and a great value to go for dinner later! The waiter I don't know if I'm spelling it right, Solo was terrific and attentive and he had a full bar to deal with too! I will probably go there today again!

“Honestly, it makes me so happy that a place like this still exists in downtown Montclair. I picked up two pizzas today - a pepperoni and a cheese for $25. The woman there was incredibly sweet and gave me a free container of cut watermelon as well. I really like their pizza and have always sung their praises - it’s slightly spicy. Traditional? Not exactly but I’m Italian and I think it’s delicious for a good price so that’s what matters. Hope they’re around for a long time — they’ve always been there for me in a later night pinch“

“At first when I saw some of the reviews saying that the staff were rude I was hesitant to go but I was there yesterday night with my husband and I had such a great experience we had the crispy chicken family meal with one side and the biscuits and we also had mint lemonade it was very delicious and fresh, They also gave us extra free biscuits and free fries overall the food was really good , the staff were very very friendly and the place was really clean, I definitely recommend this place :)“

Just to be perfectly honest, this place is located in a rather tough area, so keep that in mind when going here. Also there's no seating, it's strictly take out, the prices are very fair, and it offers a decent amount of other products similar to a small bodega. “Been going to Happy Paisa Chicken for decades. Though I’m a pescatarian, I’ve always been satisfied with delicious food. My mom and friends like the chicken meals; I enjoy tostones, salad, rice, yucca, beans (frijoles), green sauce, puffed cheese pastries, and more. Since the 2020’s began, however, there is only the Take-out option; no dine-in.
A word of caution: be careful to park legally on the street; I’ve gotten a couple of parking tickets there over the years.“
