“Love the food here! Definitely worth the wait. I recommend the guacamole with mango and the strawberry lemonade. It does get pretty busy on the weekend so if you are in a rush come on a weekday instead! However if you are having a chill weekend definitely dine in and get a molcajete with the green sauce. The presentation is beautiful. Shout to the servers, cooks, and delivery guys for all their hard work.Vegetarian options: Most of their dishes can be made vegetarian or vegan. The rice and beans is animal product free!“

“Absolutely delicious Oaxacan food. I've always wanted to visit Oaxaca and this place definitely gave us a taste of what it will be like. The restaurant is small with a few tables but it wasn't crowded when we went for lunch on a holiday Monday. My boyfriend and I shared the mole poblano, mole oaxaqueño, and molcajete. The mole dishes came with rice, beans, and warm tortilla and I also got a small horchata. Everything came out piping hot and fresh, bursting with flavor with every bite. Nothing was too spicy but if you like sweeter things, I would highly recommend the mole poblano.“
“First they had valet parking which made it easy to drop and enter ,the business was packed but getting seating was not bad since we made reservations which I highly recommend to do....place was goergues with so much Mexican decorations and actors with costumes which entertained the kids as well as adults many places to take pictures with for great memories....the staff were extremely friendly and always paying attention to your needs and concerns...The food was very delicious...the drinks were well prepared with many different types ....at one point my wife asked for her steak medium well but came out medium rare they took rite away and cooked it a little more with no problem the server came back and made sure it was perfect...they have a dance floor on the second level...live entertainment...wonderful music...the experience was excellent...great for birthdays....they sing happy Birthday and present you with Mexican Sombrero and ? pinata dessert .....great atmosphere....I want to thank all the staff for a memorable birthday....THAN YOU for making it special ...A+ ....guys worth the money for the experience...“

The atmosphere was great and the food was even better! I did not have to worry about dietary restrictions for my guests (vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free) as they had them all covered! “This is the best place to get Mexican food in yonkers, I've tried a lot of places in the area but nothing comes close to here. I've had Tacos Al Pastor, Tacos Dorados and Enchiladas de Mole Poblano. They also make incredible in house hot sauces. The only thing they do not have is any hard liquor on site, so don't expect margaritas but the food is enough to satisfy anyone, come check out this hidden gem in Yonkers!“
“I've been to Tobalá a couple of times since they opened, and their food, drinks, and service have always been great. But last night, they were absolutely stunning. I tried a few dishes (Memelas de Wagyu and Enmoladas de Pato) for the first time, and I was in shock, super delicious!! I want to congratulate their staff and owners for their constant effort to elevate the experience at Tobalá and improve every day, bringing this beautiful concept to the community. Definitely my favorite restaurant in the area.“
“This is a very underrated truck in the city. One of the best birria spots I've tried in a while. I tried this place on new years, and it was sooo good, I dragged any of my friends that mentioned anything about food that day. I first got the birria torta, which was a heavenly sandwich, and a great deal for 10$. I also went back for a birria quesadilla, which was also really good! The service was quick both times, and I really appreciate them keeping reasonable prices on new years, with 1 dollar waters and 2 dollar sodas! I can't speak too much about the ambiance because I assume this was a temporary location for new years, but I would follow this truck anywhere. No food pics, food was gone way before I ever thought about taking a picture.“

The service was superb and the food was so good, we had to order food to bring home. I would give this establishment 6 stars if I could. “I ordered two beef steak quesadillas with the flour taco and those were absolutely fantastic!! Tender bits of steak, and a green chile sauce and a red hot sauce served in small plastic cups to pour all over these heavenly dishes! Enter the Tacos; I want you guys to know that you cannot order just ONE taco, they need to be ordered two at a time. So if you want just ONE taco they won't sell it to you! I ordered two chicken tacos and two steak (carnitas) tacos WITHOUT CILANTRO ! I'm allergic to cilantro. They did a great job of cleaning the stove top before they prepared and heated my food order. Also I told them my wife is allergic to pork, (she's Muslim & it's just easier to tell chefs at these type of establishments that my wife has "allergies" to any pork products. The Tacos were good. Not amazing, but satisfying. I then ordered the chicken fingers which came with a HUGE portion of hot, steamy, French fries! The fries were fried to perfection and the potato flavor was not overpowered by the oil it was fried in. The fries were pretty much perfection. The chicken fingers were square pieces of fried chicken covered in a dark brown bread crumb with some green herbs in the bread crumbs that I could not identify. I didn't like the chicken fingers. They were not what I was expecting. The breading was not tasty and there were short and stubby cuts of flat chicken. I didn't like the looks or the taste. All of this came out to 41$ and some change. I thought overall the food, minus the chicken fingers was fresh- well prepared - and appetizing. The price is a little steep for my pockets. So I probably wouldn't be going here all the time because of pricing alone. Overall the place is very clean and the food appears to be fresh and delicious; but skip the chicken fingers.... “As far a mexican food in New York, this place is a truly a hidden gem. Restraunt was clean, service was prompt and the food was delicious. We had a torta with steak and it was fantastic and quite filling. Definitely recommended this place!“
“Burgers and Chinese food at one place, never would have thought! Burgers were good, big and juicy, and relatively inexpensive. The "caramelized onions" were those fried onions you get from a can and not really caramelized onions. But for 10 bucks with fries and a can of soda, im ok with it.“

“The spot is super small. Only 3 stools available for seating. The food was delicious! I had the chicken, steak and pork tacos. All three were delicious but the pork taco was soooo good. The pork meat is mixed with ear. It’s the ‘mixto’ pork taco. The staff is very friendly. When I’m back I want to try the birria and al pastor proteins.“

We ordered to take home, had planned on eating inside but there was no heat inside. My wife had Birria Tacos and a Quesabarria, she really enjoyed them both, especially the Tacos. I had the crunchy Taco and Quesadillas, both were very good. The crunchy Taco was so good, this place really knows how to make Tacos. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend trying. “This was my second visit to the establishment, and the experience was as positive as the first. I ordered a carne asada burrito and an Elote. The burrito was substantial and satisfying, although I would have preferred a more generous serving of chips or none at all. The Elote was delicious, but it is advisable to allow it to cool slightly before consuming.Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted cordially and directed to a table. Menus were provided, and we were informed that orders should be placed at the cashier, where drinks could also be obtained.The decor of the establishment is noteworthy, featuring a luchador theme. Spanish music was played at an appropriate volume, creating a pleasant ambiance.I intend to return to sample additional dishes from the menu.“

We arrived at around noon and may have been the first people to show up for the day. Given how quiet the restaurant was, we didn't want to get our hopes up but BOY did this place deliver. As soon as we took our first bite of the complementary (and addicting) warm black bean dip with fresh, salty tortillas we knew we were in for a treat! I ordered the burrito which was loaded with the most flavorful and perfectly cooked chicken. My fiancee ordered tacos (4 per order) - 2 fish and 2 barbacoa. The tacos and salsas were super fresh and tasty. I love that they didn't try to overcomplicate anything - just extremely delicious food without the need for gastronomics and extra flair. Even though this is about a 25 minute drive from us, I definitely think we'll be making another trip back!“

The shrimp was big, juicy and fresh, the steak (we got the Molcajete, so it came with everything) was a nice cut and well cooked. Salsas were all super tasty and the guac was legit. “1st of all, I recommend just walking in to view this place. They have decorations everywhere, and it works. They maximized the space to have a decent amount of seating plus tables, indoors and outdoors. Yes, they have a rear outdoor patio. The staff was very polite, greeting us as we entered and when exiting. I opted for the Salmon Ceviche on the menu as Tiradito de Salmon, which was very tasty, I definitely recommend it. Since the serving sizes were smaller fine dining portions, I ordered the hard shell fish taco, Tacos Dorados, which were decent, but the Ceviche was much better.“

“Great addition to the list of authentic Mexican restaurants in 138th street. The food and service are stellar at the upscale Hacienda Agave. We started out with appetizers- tortas with chicharrón, ceviche, tlacoyo, tuna tostadas and esquisites. It was all delicious. Next up were quesadilla de Carnitas: soo good! The mole de pollo which was phenomenal and every dish tasted better than the next. The Chamorra was my favorite- lamb shank in a rich stew, we also had the Branzino- which came beautifully wrapped in corn husk, it was moist and had a very delicate scent of herbs. For dessert: the churros were crispy and soft with dulce de leche. The tres leches was perfect and not too sweet and the flan was velvety and rich. The cocktails are varied and there are choices for all tastes. I started off with a non alcohol drink- cucumber and ginger- the bar was so accommodating and made our dinner party horchata martinis and a non alcoholic horchata martini! Highly Recommend !“

The chicken was seasoned well balanced. Chorizo didn’t taste like it was cheap packaged meat. Everything to my point of view was fresh and good quality. But I must say I’d wish the ratio of bread to meat. I would of preferred a bit more meat…but there is an option for that. Bathroom was decent.. overall the night was ended beautifully with a live performance from some local artist who was singing karaoke which was also beautiful. Yeah I was mostly paying attention to my late dinner but anyway. It was goood. It’s all good. The staff were good.
