And the owner Mo introduced himself and was clearly passionate about his business. I was waiting on by Ella and she spent the time talking to my son about his sports. The business is very clean and they have so many selections. We all had the rolled ice cream but I noticed people in the store getting boba tea. There is much variety to choose from in a really cool atmosphere with cards at the tables. We will definitely be back!!“

“Do you really live in a small east coast or Midwest town if you’re not eagerly awaiting the seasonal opening of the local ice cream shop? Closer to Edison than HP proper, this no-frills ice cream shop in a barn-shaped building serves up some excellent ice cream. They offer everything from soft serve to dole whip.

Some notes for when you go. There’s a limited amount of parking spaces, a small amount of picnic benches for seating, they only take cash, and there’s always a line. It goes pretty quickly though! I highly recommend walking there if you can!

“I recently visited Koko Loko cafe in New Brunswick and had the pleasure of trying their Pistachio Latte and Caramel Latte. While both drinks were enjoyable, the Pistachio Latte truly stole the show.

The Pistachio Latte was perfectly balanced, with a rich, nutty flavor that wasn’t overly sweet but still indulgent. It had a creamy texture that complemented the espresso beautifully, making every sip an absolute delight. It’s one of those drinks that leaves you wanting more even after the last drop.

The Caramel Latte was good as well, with a classic sweetness and smooth finish, but it didn’t quite compare to the unique and standout flavor of the Pistachio Latte. If you’re deciding between the two, I’d highly recommend going for the pistachio—it’s a game changer!

The ambiance of the shop was cozy, and the service was friendly and efficient. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of their menu, but the Pistachio Latte is already a favorite.

Also there are so many options with 10 base flavors 23 mix ins and 40 toppings plus 16 regular ice cream flavors and 30 drinks with 7 types of boba tea. Friendly service and fun atmosphere! Open late, even on a Wednesday. (Not to mention cheaper than Carvel) I recommend - go give it a try!“

“This was not our first visit. We keep coming back for the nice ambiance and excellent food. Service tends to be slow sometimes- I think they are short staffed when the restaurant is busy. My husband had the salmon and I had the French toast. Both were outstanding. There are no mocktails on the menu, but they will make them if you ask. They also have a wonderful and delicious appetizer menu. We will keep coming back!“

“Rita has always been my favorite spot to eat frozen custards and ice creams, but recently, I discovered this Rita here in Berkeley Heights, and it is such a good spot. “The ice cream and Italian ice taste the same at this location as every other location, which is good. The problem is the selection. I was just at a Ritas in Pennsylvania and they had at least 8 different soft serve ice cream flavors, including cake batter and pistachio among others. This location always only has vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Pistachio is my favorite and I got that when I was in Pennsylvania. I also noticed the other Pennsylvania location had more Italian ice flavors as well.“

Parking: Parking is a bit tough as it is on a very busy street. If you go around the block towards supremo supermarket you’ll be able to find a wider variety of parking.“
