From the second you walk up, he’s friendly in a way that doesn’t feel forced or fake—he actually seems like he enjoys being there and talking to customers. What really stands out is how helpful he is. If you’re not sure what flavor to get, he’ll give suggestions or let you try samples without making you feel like you’re being annoying. “Saw this gorgeous little boutique in the mall, and I had to stop in!
The presentation of the chocolates and gelatos are eye catching and organized. I love the displays for Easter and chocolate eggs are my favorite!! Especially the mini Lampone eggs. I grabbed many mix & match chocolates along the wall which are paid by weight. The employee named Angel was very kind and helpful explaining all of the options and recommending gelato flavors which made making a decision much easier for me.
I chose a gourmet baby cone with pistachio and it was scooped to perfection! I will be back for more soon :)“

“I visited Icy Melon in Edison for the first time a few weeks ago, and it was a pleasant surprise. The environment is quiet and low key, which makes it easy to relax but the seating could definitely use an upgrade. It’s not the coziest spot to linger, but the food more than makes up for it.

I had one of their signature crepes, and my friend tried the matcha crepe cake. Both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

We didn’t wait long for our order, which was a nice bonus. You can tell they put care into both flavor and aesthetics in their food.

While the vibe is more functional than cozy, Icy Melon is perfect for a quick dessert run or a casual catch up with friends. If you’re craving something sweet and photogenic, it’s definitely worth a visit.“

“This place has amazing fro yo and is a very safe place to go during this pandemic. You order online and within minutes they deliver your yogurt to your car, taking proper precautions. They give your toppings and yogurt seperatly so you could mix and match anything!“

“Just tried Happy Dayz ice cream in Edison - really good! Great selection of flavors - traditional American, sorbet, and some Indian flavors as well (and two sugar free!) “The ice cream and Italian ice taste the same at this location as every other location, which is good. The problem is the selection. I was just at a Ritas in Pennsylvania and they had at least 8 different soft serve ice cream flavors, including cake batter and pistachio among others. This location always only has vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Pistachio is my favorite and I got that when I was in Pennsylvania. I also noticed the other Pennsylvania location had more Italian ice flavors as well.“

“An old fashioned ice cream spot with tables to sit at and enjoy a nice treat. They have an excellent small vanilla shake and they don't skimp on the whipped cream. It costs about $5 and the sizing is more equivalent to a medium. All of the ice cream tastes fresh. Although prices are higher than we are used to, the quality is worth the cost. They have parking on each side and if you want to sit and rest on a bench near a tree nearby they have that option. They could benefit from some nice planters in the front. I will be back for their excellent shakes during the summer.“

“We recently had my daughter’s soccer team lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. I spoke with the manager on duty the evening prior and it couldn’t have gone smoother. We had the whole top floor to ourselves. Service was amazing as was the food. We sometimes have issues splitting checks because the girls want to sit together away from their parents but they handled it with ease. I’m still dreaming of the delicious ice cream that was the cherry on top of a great experience.“

“Not sure what all the bad comments are about - I've been here twice and both the ice cream and service has been great every time. I have a slight suspicion of why there's so much hate but I won't go there - instead, I'll speak on my experience.

Not only do they have classic flavors (chocolate, vanilla, double chocolate), but they have exotic flavors (lychee, a few spices) that are done extremely well, and some classic Baskin Robbins-like flavors (rainbow, cookie monster) that don't taste synthetic like Baskin Robbins. In terms of texture, the ice cream and even the sorbets are creamy. There was maybe one bite where I felt some ice flake but that's about it.

Also, they let you try as many samples as you want! The prices are also very fair - two scoops, medium size, for $5.“

There's a little bit of everything to satisfy even the pickiest eater. I would just drive her (over a 2 hour drive for me) just to come eat here. I need this place closer to home, lol.“
