Drove past and wasn't sure I wanted to go in as the area around was very seedy, and the tavern had no sign out front and was really run down looking. However, I decided to go in with my boyfriend. The food was awesome and the service was great!! A must try, but bring Cash, it's a cash only place. Chili and Pastrami were great too!“

“I had a private event in the Parlor Room and it was fabulous. Food and drinks were spot on and the service was dynamite. There were 21 of us all together and everyone was well cared for by server Lily and the rest of the awesome staff. I really love the unique atmosphere of the place -warm, classy and comfortable all at once. No boring old chain restaurant vibes here. Everyone had a great time. “Tankys is the spot! These people in the comments below complaining about it being unsafe just have nothing better to do. Other bars right down the block plays music just as loud and stays open just as late. Besides the one incident last year, there aren’t any brawls or fights that happen there. Most ppl that go there are regulars and know each other. To the ppl complaint about it being loud in open late, you have the power to move to another place you knew where you were moving to when you moved there tankys has been there my whole lifeThe drinks are strong and cheap, the vibe is chill, older crowd, when they have a DJ the music is good, u can bring food in, and they have a lil pool table and a parking lot. I been going to tankys for year and never had a bad experience. Occasionally the bartenders be too busy to get to me and I’ll get tired of waiting and leave but that’s all rare.“

“Came here Happy Hour on a Thursday. Service was quick and attentive, food was AMAZING!!! And full of flavor. I definitely recommend bang bang shrimp and ribeye. Drinks are also strong. Our server Kayla was really kind, and offered great recommendations.“
